no but for real i’m so glad you liked it, this one kinda divided the reviewers mostly because of the production (because it doesn’t sound like shitty modern mgk pop punk lmao)
you really have to look up the lyrics for foundations cause when it dropped the fans kinda argued about some parts to the point that the band literally jokingly glued a paper with the lyrics to the drums before my show (warsaw) ^-^
oh and you’ve really gotta react to some videos from this tour, especially foundations of decay live (it goes so hard and they’ve become so much better live compared to pre-breakup omg).
other songs i recommend are the revamped versions of kids from yesterday and sleep (holy shit the extended sleep outro. etheral. ray toro in my dreams forever peace and love on earth amen), others too like mama and famous last words but you’ve already reacted to these from pre-breakup. they’ve also played some deep deep cuts this tour like sister to sleep (which they’ve only played like once two decades ago and had to rewrite it from an audio recorded on a potato), and demos bury me in black, desert song and all the angels, plus everybody hates the eagles which is kind of an improvised new song they’ve played in parts through a few shows ? kinda difficult to explain but goes hard as fuck

The way this song dropped was such an experience. It was completely out of nowhere and nobody, I mean *nobody* expected it. No announcement or anything, just a single tweet saying that a new song was available to stream. I just about passed out when I saw it lmaooo

I listened to only this song nonstop for two weeks straight when it came out. It just felt so beautiful of a return. I didn't need an album, because this was enough to fill that emotional gap after they left.
Now I am just sitting back waiting for a new album. There have been statements from band members, I believe, stating that they have worked on new songs while touring. But so far, no indication on whether that will culminate on a new album, or possibly just some more one off releases.
My half brained theory is this. During their tour, last year, they were selling merch that simply said swarm and had a fly, or flies on them. Other than this video, I don't know what else it could be referencing... But what if...WHAT IF... it has something to do with an upcoming album???

Apart from being absolutely floored that they released this song with no warning whatsoever, my reaction was “Holy sh*t they are storytellers!” Which I already knew because the other 4 albums are concept records but it felt different like I hadn’t properly internalised that fact.
The song is so awesome and I think it gets better each time you listen to it. It’s also about the journey of the band and I personally love the usage/switches of pronouns. Eg. Going from “he”to “we” in the chorus to verse.

I was literally smiling for this whole entire video. It is SO good! First of all, amazing outfit! Second, I died when I saw this in my recommended :') Foundations of Decay is such a great song, and it came completely out of nowhere too! I really like the theme of this song, it really fits the theme of the whole return tour. And I really hope we get an album some time because this song is just amazing, and an album with the theme of this song would just be great! The meaning of this song is very interesting too! Most of the lyrics sound like they're related to the aftermath of some kind of disaster * cough * 9/11 * cough * which is actually really cool because that's what stated the band in the first place, so to reflect back on that with a song that sets the theme for the return tour is just so cool! And I'm really glad that this isn't the end of the MCR reactions either! Bury Me in Black and Desert Song are really good, so I'm excited for you to react to them! I know I'm really glad to have you in this amazing community, and I'm sure everyone else is too! Once again, welcome to the MCRmy :D we're all really happy to have you in this welcoming community! Dude i wish you the absolute best, your vids are a delight to watch and it's so nice to see a reaction to this song- this was the first song they dropped after they got together again, after like 8 years, I felt that as I watched this I was reliving the hype of listening to this when it released.

I was lucky enough to see them in concert, and this song was absolutely one of my favourites, if not my favourite song that they performed. Listening to it is already amazing, but seeing the band perform it was on a whole different level.
It was awesome to follow along with your journey as you reacted to MCR's music. Even though I listened to them before finding your channel, your videos have helped me to notice some of the details that I never would've noticed otherwise. I've also noticed that your videos and analysis get better and better each time. You put a lot of hard work into this channel and it definitely shows. Fun fact, MCR finished a tour recently, and ended the last show by playing "Vampires Will Never Hurt You", which I believe is the first song they recorded as a band. They played that and walked off stage, without acknowledging the end of all planned tours/music. However, the drumhead of that show said "Endless Night", which definitely hints towards more content.
i feel like the best way i can describe this song is just cathartic, especially being their first new content in a decade. it sounds like nothing else they've done, but also sounds like them still. it set a tone that the return tour continued: that they are not back to do the same old shit, not some old band getting back together to make some more money off of nostalgia, that they still have an artistic vision and have new ideas to bring. welcome :D excited to see what you think of american idiot! idk if you mean the song or the album, but if you do mean the album, the whole thing is a rock opera, even having a staged broadway show featuring the frontman of green day as the main character :) i think you'll really like that album, especially jesus of suberbia :)

This song was… an experience when it dropped. No announcements or cryptic videos or anything, just a notification that they’d uploaded a video after I got home from work and holy shit. I just had to lay down and close my eyes and listen to this song on repeat and just soak in it
This song encapsulates the entire journey of the band and of each of the members after they broke up. I can hear elements of all of their solo projects in this one, all the things they picked up along the years to bring together. And the lyrics… I won’t get into them too much cause there’s a lot to unpack there but they’re really beautiful and inspiring

Really awesome following you along your journey to be a real Killjoy. From what I’ve read online their producer might have rented a studio out for them to record this early summer so we’ll all be getting new MCR music. Definitely can’t wait for the future of your channel bro! We’ll all be here with you 🤟. For the next band journey I highly recommend “Pierce The Veil”. They are very explosive in the punk scene and Vic has some of the best vocals of his time.
