    How to change the spark plugs on a Volkswagen up! 2013 with 3 cylinder engine 1.0 liters . The difficult part might be removing the coilpacks from the spark plugs but with some leverage and lubrication you can pull them out quite easy .

    Hey man! Awesome video.
    I can suggest you to add in the description that it also works for 1.0 MPI polo! I have it and we have the exact same engine, but there are no videos for it. Maybe you can help other polo owners.
    Thank you very much for the vid, I will do it next week!

    Greetings from India! I have a VW Polo which has the same CHYB engine. I believe it runs on the same conventional plugs shown here. Although i'm not sure if they are NGK or Bosch. That said I have been wanting to try some iridium ones. Could you please recommend/suggest the iridium replacement. Also could you tell me what plugs you are using like the model number.

    Hi, its a useful video. Short question: 2:40 u said u drove a car a little bit. Did you drive it without air filter box and coil packs not being mounted back with 10 mm bolts, right ?

    • @doit_vehicles
      @doit_vehicles  3 роки тому

      I meant it worked for me once in a situation when the coil pack was stuck , to spray wd40 / silicon, drive the car and next day take out the coil packs .

      @andrzejnowak2857 3 роки тому

    So practikaly what is mean is running rich? That the engine function is mostly of the time with cold temperatures?

    • @doit_vehicles
      @doit_vehicles  4 роки тому

      "rich condition " is when the air / fuel mixure is richer in fuel than it should be for whatever reason . 14.7 air and 1 part of fuel is always the goal an ECU wants to keep

    What is the calibration for the spark plugs? What system did you use to read the fuel mixture?

    • @doit_vehicles
      @doit_vehicles  4 роки тому +1

      Not 100% sure about the calibration since these days people replace the spark plugs , but it should be around 1mm. The fuel mixture can be interpreted through Long / Short term fuel trim , oxygen sensors and other air sensors situated pre combustion .

      If it's under warranty best is to be done by the vw workshop so you can keep the warranty. If not , in the near future it's good to change it when you can ; not to exceed 100 000 km

    It’s a shame you didn’t think to mention something important being that you kindly spent the time to make the video in the first place. What was the plug type!. The actual plug number specific to either NG or Borsch or whatever. 🥴🥴 That information would have been really useful. VW Up! 1.0 Reg 2013
