Hello mscsportstudent, There are plans to upload a video demonstrating the advanced tools of Kinovea, we are waiting until the next stable release of Kinovea before making the video since it will include many new functions which are not in the current version. If you subscribe to the channel you will get a notification when the new video is uploaded.
Likely you need to set the units to metric, make sure you are using V9.3 or V9.4 for best results. Follow the Basic Tools V9.3 and Advanced Tools V9.3 videos for a demonstration of setting units and exporting data.

I think those are stickers placed on his shirt. which is why there are creases at times.

Just found the setting. Options -> Preference -> Persistence Tab -> Tick Always Visible.
