The shralp is amazing, I just cant figure out how the front tire keeps traction. Do you got any advice? I can't sample any more dirt than I already have.
I love a tidy berm, riding high then cutting down to gain speed on the way out, I love that big leaning feeling.
It would be good to see one of these tutorial videos with a random rider , I think it would be easier for most people to relate too. Have someone like Gee pick apart what they are currently doing then try to teach them a better technique
Paul the Punter did that with Kasper Woolley. Not in a bike park but pretty much exactly what you said.
@@frankthetankricard but despite being an amazing rider, Kasper couldn't really teach hahahaha
Good idea! With jumps too...
So very true
That channel is called Fluidride Mountain Biking Instruction
Absolute legend! After the last big crash he had just to see him even on a big let alone ripping again. It was hard to even watch the crash. Awesome he’s back & having fun.
Great seeing Gee in action!😎 I remember a tip from Aaron Gwin who’s not too shabby on the bike, he said ‘lay the bike down’ as you corner! Genuinely does help!👍🏻
Love seeing Gee back on the bike and tearing up Whistler!!! He's such an amazing rider - love seeing the slow video to see his cornering technique
Outstanding content. More of this please. I'm right on the edge of riding so much faster into corners, and your slow motion video and descriptions do just the thing. That's a bad man you're biking with there! Thank you!
Great to see gee riding after that brutal crash, good work man
Nice to see Martyn getting involved on videos like this, keep up the good work 🤟
Martyn is such an inspiration
100%! Thanks for watching! We really appreciate the support! 🙌
So good to see rippin' it Gee again! I was soo happy spotting him in some Brit vidz from Whistler 🤙🏽
Martin, outstanding video! Please keep up this type of tutorial, it is so helpful!! And please keep bringing in the pros.
I love the whole GMBN brotherhood. Would love to see some split screen on the good technique that all the guys are trying to teach us on one side with the bad technique on the other side to help with a comparison. Maybe create a series called pro school with Richard, Blake and Neil of course as well as yourself. Bring in all your pro guest friends every once in a while. If you use the name Pro School I will only charge you some GMBN bling, LOL
Definitely great to see Gee back on the bike!
Definitely! 🙌
Great to see Gee back!🤘🏻
This is what I love about bikes in general and MTB in particular. A normal day out on the trails and you happen to end up following one of the best riders in the world. Sharing the fun and have the same thrills. You don't really get that in other sports.
Great video ….. I’ll
Try this at the weekend. Hi from Australia!!
I'm still learning so videos like this always help 😃😃 love it ❤️
Awesome! Thanks and safe riding! 👊
About being loose on the bike. It is as with all things. If you master something you grew so much of the important small muscles and helping muscles in combination with the neurological adaptions that you will be loose from an outer perspective. Take a beginner and let him be loose and he will just crash. It's like with climbing. They tell you it's all about technic. Well it is but in the beginning you need to develop the grip strength to make the technic work for you.
+1 from a windsurfer since 30+ years. I can go for 3hours+ without problem in gale winds.
Great vid, so glad to see Gee back on the bike shredding again. Where are the full speed shots? I came to see fast cornering and you've slowed them all down! Would be sensational to see Gee vs Average Joe shots, full speed etc.
Awesome to see Gee in action.
Great to see Gee back on the bike and looking fit.
Those shots and skills were sooo sicc. Thanks for the great vid and added commentary as always!
This was a fantastic break down and fun to watch
This was helpful!
Gee has style in abundance!
Best cornering video you’ve done so far.
Glad you think so! Cheers for the support!
Amazing how you can make a video about cornering so exciting! Great job Gee! Thanks for the tips!
I like this format of tutorial vids, very fresh, keep it up!👍
Very good vid. Slow motion of the technique with good comments. Thanks!
Great to see you both having a good time in the outdoors!!! 🤟🏼😎🔥
There's nothing better! 🔥
Great seeing Gee in action after that massive crash. He features quite a bit in some of my old mountain bike DVD'S and he truly is awesome to watch ride. He is right up there with Martyn in legend status! 👍😎 Martyn must have been stoked to be out with Gee on this video.
@Roy Sewd They pop up on nearly every comment, pesky little buggers, you get sick of them.
Workin’ on G with Gee. Good lad and nice to see him back out there.
this video is sick
That was great!
Thanks.
Great vid
Lots of advice that can be put into practice
Would love to know what tires Gee is riding??
Prob the new D/H conti's. But more than likely the awesome Der Kaiser tyre
2:51 Continentals front and rear
Athertons are partnered with Continental.
funny how its different dependant on who you go to..I booked a cornering course at BPW and they 100% advocate level pedals all the time as its not always possible to switch from left low to right low without backpedalling..i find that way far more comfortable and no loss of grip..
Gee is the man, hard as a coffin nail that lad.
Great stuff.
Wow, Gee made that looks soooo easy, I feel I should have all of them sussed within a couple of hours... I hope they've got good WIFI in my local A&E so I can update you on my cornering progress🤣🤣🤣 jokes aside, great video, great to see Gee in slow motion, so cool...
Gee is a beast! It looks like he's fresh out of the Crossfit world champs too 😂
this is really going to help me stop crashing because i tend to go full speed into corners and roost out 😅
Ouch! Hopefully this helps you out! 👍
You mean that’s not how you do it?
Nice...great vid
Bro... i Went through a loose flat corner today, a quite short corner aswell. I was going like 5 times slower than he would and i was confident but still i managed to lose the front end i belive, not totally sure. I also crashed at a spot where my chest hit something and i could not breathe for a minute. But i were fine and kept riding. (Im gonna try all these tips next time and hpefully i can breathe the next time too :)
Top Level rider Gee!
Sure is! 🤙
very useful skill
Martyn, how about a setup tip for park riding? What is a good range or tip for tire pressure on hardpack/loose over hard? :-)
Contrary to most cornering advice he doesn't remain upright in the corners but leans with the bike, although he does keep the weight on his outside foot
So - how do you lean the bike over in a turn? Push down with the inner or outer hand?
The real Top G
I’m in the video at 5:47
martin Ashton.... Neal did that already and it was a good video.. no need to try one up him lol
Martyn you're such a inspiration. You should meet Aaron Fotheringham ,,Wheelz", would be amazing to see you both together 🤞
Great guys:)
Thanks! 🙌
Gee Whizz 🤠
You covered everything except a flat corner...I can imagine why you left that part out.
Fox 40 bar
I hate it when the pros share tips like this because it just ends up ruining the corners. Trail braking into corners causes ruts that don't go away until it rains a lot and there is real trail work to fix them. If they don't get fixed the ruts stay there forever. All because of a few careless slides that snowball into many forced slides later.
He put the Gee in G forces!
Since when bulls makes dh bikes? 🤯
Sam Hill would be next🤟
Does that include how to wash out in a corner losing a world championship. Can't wait to see that!!
And Conor Fearon!

Jones Carol Smith Sandra Walker Joseph
Lopez Jeffrey Rodriguez Thomas Moore Maria
Elbows? Back front weighting? Shoulder and hip positioning? Anything about form other than "outside foot down"? Come on guys, you can do so much better
