Wasn't a bad haircut, honestly I think the problem was how flat the bangs on his forehead looked since people were expecting something with more body and "wave" to it.

I honestly thought they did f up his hair at first, but after I got a haircut of my own (with long hair as well) I realized that you’ll usually look kinda silly at first. I seriously regretted cutting my hair, but after showering and drying it naturally, it was much better the next day. I think this is essentially what happened here. This kid’s hair got some natural shape and now it looks pretty great.

Yup...I cut something like 4-5 cm a couple of weeks before Christmas (I have hair past my shoulders) and regretted after the barber dried and styled it. After I showered and dried them as I like, I appreciated them a little more. Then after 1week-10 days I felt a bit more comfortable. Luckily now they grew almost to original length and I'm definitely NOT going to chop off that much again lol lesson learned

This is why I let them know what I want first, then ask them what they think of it. If they got ideas I’m open to it, I may or may not like it but i prefer listening to options based on what I want and whether it’s a suitable decision or otherwise we can mend some ideas.

He could have not only said he liked the cut, but gone off on everyone for attacking his barber for doing his job, and for willfully leaving his opinions out of the conversation. That’s what I would do if they did that to my barber. You can get canceled en mass by one person.

Imo he had the potential for a really kickass haircut... All you had to do was shorten the fringe and style it in a manner similar to curtain bangs, and do minimal changes to the rest of the hair, just a little evening out... But you guys reaaaally like your shorter sides and skin fades so i see how you got carried out. The resulting cut wasn't terrible, just bland and typical compared to what could've been. i think the problem was that we weren't able to see the full face with the eyes in the before pic which would obviously distort the comparison between the before and after.
In the video he did look a little awkward, but after I saw it again, it didn’t look that bad.
