honestly it feels set up by people who 1 dont play, 2 suck at playing , 3 looking for $$
to add onto FWL and KR, I heard they still haven't payed out a $500 prize pool for a kill race back in s1 😂.
excited to see your tournament :). just a heads up, I believe there are more EU competitive players than NA currently, based on the breakout tournament series
Watching this really opened my eyes to how far we are from being esports-ready. You're 100% right though, but I can also understand their hesitation to provide "exact details and rules." In my opinion, the game mode, at its core, isn't quite ready for esports, making it difficult to predict how extreme some of the "strategies" might become.
Quick hot take, I do enjoy 3v3s and love the final round, but I've always preferred the face to face, team vs. team battles. So personally I would love to see some sort of 3v3 competitive play at least until the main game mode is adjusted. I would love to hear your opinion on the main game mode itself!
I think the main issue with both the normal cashout and the final 3v3 is the spawns. Makes me feel like this is overwatch just trying to get to an objective after respawning. When teams wait to input a vault into a cashout just to make you spawn further, I think that's an issue.
I personally think the main game mode is way more entertaining to watch mainly because of the macro play. 3v3s can't compare because its just fight die repeat.
It would be so cool if we got official tournaments but that's unlikely 😭
i mean they put a limit on how much a community organizer can offer as a prize, maybe to make sure when they make a tournament, it will be the biggest. i’m sure they are still gathering data on what a good esports scene for the finals would be.
@@EkaZokohopefully 🤞 I mean the concept of the game is like a competitive game show so you'd expect a tournament 🙏
embark said that they want esports to be more community ran I think? might need to fact check that lol but thats what I heard another youtuber say.
Such a shame seeing this game going nowhere yet, I hope it still takes off but I'm losing faith, especially with these terrible 3rd party tournaments being ran.
I'm not sure if you said this already but with the Breakout thing - making clear rules is important in general of course, but also because people will prepare for so long and put so much effort into it, so it would be terrible if you lost the game just because u misunderstood a vague ass rule about what a fight is
I would love if there was a strong Finals esport scene. God I hope there is official tourneys coming
The finals is such a good game. Competitive will get better
This is just the consequences of an incomplete custom games browser. Once it is official, everything will make more sense.
there is no real competitve scene in this game i was a top 100 player its done game is to dead
I play heavy charge n slam with slug shotty. Theres no real competitive scene because I AM the competitive scene 😂
Despite the theme of this game being a literal gameshow, The Finals is heavily much more casual than competitive
Even the real comp in game is just way too chaotic and random to be anything more than a more serious casual experience
and i thought i was a yapper
Talking during your own UA-cam video is a pretty wild concept isn’t it?
Why are they adding their own rules? That’s so weird
Man I saw these rules as well I almost signed up until I saw no double heavy but I play double heavy and 1 medium I’d have to go out of my way to learn another class rules were a turn off but I was gonna give it a shot any others I can look for?
Breakout Esports might have the better coverage but man those organizers seem to have an ego.
So how did that tournament of your go? Did you prove all the organizers wrong, and show them the right way to run a Finals tourney? LFG!
it didn't go very well :( the cashout mode is unhostable with the current private match system. Otherwise, the additions i made to the rules/format was decent, needed some fixing and balancing, etc. I will make a video soon.
If there is a "perfect" esports tournament that would be optimized I feel like it would need to reflect ranked. Because unlimited respawns on faster timers on effectively the most competitive setting makes zero sense. Also banning heavies? Nah, make each person play a different class. That way each team has heavy, light, and medium and it will create new strategies and be more interesting than double heavy medium. That way it may force people to play off meta. Also, I feel like tournaments and esports need some time until spectator mode releases that way it can be more professional and easy to watch. Not that it would currently be bad by doing a vod or something, but for like a mass stream (like apex's algs) it needs a spectator mode.
Hard agree on what you said here. Although I will say I do sympathize with people picking quick cash for 3v3s because it’s ez to monitor and follow rules. Not that this is optimal.
Overall I hate banning of HHM and only having a 3v3 format. RIP
I've heard people say this game isn't good for comp bc of third partying but doesn't that happen in Apex?
DH is a good upcoming team
Why are they making things so complicated? Just award points for unlocking the vault, carrying the vault (have max points per vault), starting a cash out, steals (have max points per cash out steals), finishing a cash out, and getting kills. Most points coming from completed cash outs and won games. I also don’t understand why they aren’t using the tournament mode in a tournament….? Run multiple tournaments at a time with a best of 3 or 5 or 7 idk. Have a losers and winners bracket. And then have the best teams overall compete in a final tournament, first team to 2 or 3 wins: wins overall. I think having a point system is important because it would encourage fighting and discourage scummy play without having such vague and strange rules, as long as you find just the right amount of points to encourage good play that also doesn’t change how the game is usually played i.e. kill race. Max points per vault carry and steal is necessary in order to encourage fighting and punish giving up the same vault so that you can get it back for more points as well as letting a team steal so that you can steal it back for more points after you have already stolen for that same cash out. I don’t play competitively or in Esports so I don’t know what I am saying would work but I think that makes the most sense. Correct me if I am wrong.
Ekazo ran it in tournament mode so he definitely showed them whats goood!
Bro I watch a lot of your videos and value your opinion, but you lost me when you started acting like you are a god send to these orgs with your input or insight. The problem is, these orgs probably have a bunch of people hitting them up with their input as well. They literally cannot take everyone's input and implement it. As someone who has run events in my profession, I can tell you there is ALWAYS people that think they know the best way to do things. While you might have good intentions and valuable insights, at the end of the day, no org has to listen to it or owes you their gratitude.
I'm happy you took matters into your own hand and are running your own tournament, not only because it will probably be better than other orgs, but also for you to be on that end of the table. No hate here, just want to make sure we are keeping each other humble in the Finals community. I watch you for your opinion, but also because you seem like someone who doesn't let that go to their head. Looking forward to participating in your tourneys.
Sure, they don't have an obligation to listen to me or even think my suggestions are good. But they have feedback channels and even a ticketing system for a reason. If they don't feel my feedback was sufficient, that is fine, I'm just going to voice my experience here so everyone knows how they would respond to x y and z feedback. I didn't mean to sound like I was egotistical or let anything get to my head. I just spent MY time trying to help them (because they seem like they wanted help) and when it felt like they didn't care, of course I'm going to be upset. I'm just stating my dissatisfaction and I literally went directly to them about this dissatisfaction. They don't need to thank me, but considering all the time I put in to try to help them, can't I feel some sort of injustice?
They ate only doing this for a big lore drop and you are just bugging them
The Finals World League is a joke. Just like the game's interest in competitive. Unfortunately the game has a sick concept and competitively speaking is super cool. But the devs and community have failed the concept so hard.
This game died already why they even trying to save it? I am so tried after just 1 game then 我答复 just straight aim bot. Btw all the cheaters I encounters were not ban, not even one of them.
I like the game, also you can video report cheaters in the finals discord, get them banned pretty quickly if you have video evidence
Yeah no attention to breakout, bad organization
Quit final bro, the game is dead
What I like about pessimistic people like you is that you stop playing the game so that other people can enjoy the finals.
Quick cash tournaments = Ski competition on the bunny hill 🤡
I'm gonna run a tourney! The rules are: Powershift game mode with heavy only 🤣
Wait.. Maybe Bank It would be even better?😂 Yeah! Last minute change. It's gonna be Bank It with heavy only
You 100% did the right thing asking for clarification. The guy who defined the term fight with the word fight after you already had the confusion with “staling/holding”
