This is a lesson for teamwork, stepping up individually is bound for them to learn. Look at this now without Angel Canino, it's not the clean game they are accustomed to. But glad for Laput that she was able to raise the team. Congrats LA SALLE!!

Ok, sharing my overall and Brutally Honest thoughts for UP vs La Salle, A win is a win no matter what, the 3rd set though is a lesson learned, hangga't di pa kayo nasa 25, play your 100%, play the right way, and win the right way. As for Angel, let's wish her recovery, sana makabalik sya ASAP and let's appreciate her teammates for stepping up. I give credits sa mga natirang players, especially Malaluan and Shevana sobrang grabe yung pag step up lalo na sina Soreno and Larroza, Great job to them for being always ready when needed! For Coronel, kaya nya yan, every mistake she'll learn from it and kay Tolentino, always be ready lang. Overall, This team is always ready. The reason that I got tense is because of the big games ahead this second round especially UST and NU and in the F4 where pag ganyan pag dikdikan ang laban, big time players show up and dun na kakailanganin ang presence ng go to guys, but hopefully yung mga natira, they just keep continuing to step up hanggang sa maging capable go to guys na din sila in the coming games, just stay ready lang sila and stay consistent, team effort and next man up lang. I just keep trusting Coach RDJ and the staff, the Lady Spikers will be fine.
Malaluan slowly getting her way to the top. İsa sa reason why setters love to set the ball to her because she can deliver kahit pangit yung bigay ng bola. Her Clutch era is back.

That 3rd set when CRDJ field in the 2nd stringers was needed. Kasi these rookies need to have playing time/experience so that they’ll be battle ready in the latter part of the season. Kelangan nila yun so that they’ll work harder and dito din makita ng coaching staff yung butas at magawan ng paraan. On the other hand, UP raised their game sa 3rd set. They deserved that come from behind win. Kelangan lng tlga consistency ng UP squad. They have the skills and talent already. I’m excited for UP and hopeful, they’ll bring this momentum sa mga next na games nila and defeat some of the higher ranked teams. DLSU, on the other hand needs to regroup and work on their offense kasi napilay sila due to Canino’s situation. Malaluan has to step up offensively. She’s the key.
Grabe naman kayo, pataas ng pataas talaga expectation niyo sa DLSU, kahit sabihing ranked 8 na team nagpahirap sa kanila the fact still remains that it was the same team who snatched 1 and 2 sets win from the top 3 and 1 teams respectively in this season, isa pa kita naman na kayang kaya talaga nila it's just nagkakumpyansa sa knowing their star player couldn't play, pero mas pansin ko yung habol sa 4th set and that says a lot abt their heart of a champion🏹💚😌😇
I was questioning why CRDJ did not or late on his adjustments during the 3rd set. Then, I notice na lahat na ata sa bench nakapag laro during this game. For me this is the right time/ game to give his bench a playing time and check which one will click during crunch time, siguro para alam nya siguro talaga ang dependable and pwede hugutin kapag crucial times. Sabi nga sa isang comment, games like this ka dapat mag experiment and mag check mga players na pwede hugutin, hindi sa mga games vs upper ranking teams. No disrespect to lower ranking teams, kasi even them, lower ranking teams this second round grabe yung tinaas ng level ng laro.
I just hope makapag adjust agad ang DLSU since there’s no assurance when will Angel get her clearance to play again. ❤

Larroza being dependable in the absence of Canino. Parang natural na starter sa open. And thankful for Coronel recognizing Malaluan in the crucial stretch. Usually pag dikdikan kasi ipipilit pa yan kay Canino kahit backrow or kay Gagate.

A win is a win, consistency lang is the key sa mga aasahang mag step up. The 3rd set is a lesson learned for both players and coaches, hangga't di pa nag 25, keep on playing. And buti sa 4th, nagawan nila ng paraan and natuto sila. Great win though pero many things needed to be addressed, Congrats DLSU!
That 3rd SET BROKE MY HEART into pieces. Imagine your team leads about 8 points and you ended up losing that set. Weakest link- CASTILLO, LEVINA

What a win! DLSU is still DLSU without Angel. Though I still wish na anjan siya, injury-free and healthy, but things have already happened so tanggapin nalang talaga.
Grabe ni Shevana, lumalakas na talaga. Si Leiah naman ever-present, maaasahan mo talaga. And si Laroza and Soreño naman, mayged, kung di sila napunta sa DLSU na height tinatarget for sure mainstays na sila sa ibang team; grabe makaka-asa ka talaga sa kanila.
This game's a great game overall. Tas napaka-wise pa ng experimental play sa 3rd set, talagang pinipiga ni Coach RDJ bench niya. Feel ko talaga di na makakalaro si Angel for the entirety of the 2nd Round. Naghahanap na sila ng have-to-pick sa bench for crucial subs. Hopefully makuha ng coaching staff ang tamang templa.
This comment is GOLD! A lot of people didn't understand and criticized the coaching staff for what they did on set 3. They couldn't understand how important it was to let the bench players have their time to play just in case they are need during crucial matches in the future.
Sad to see lumot is fighting without Angel Canino. It will be harder for them specially if facing higher ranking team. UP elevates their game & can imagine the rest of them will love to beat lumot with out Angel Canino. Hoping for the best in UAAP…

As much as I dislike saying this, coaching staff of La Salle is to blame in losing that 3rd set. At least they learned a big lesson today as well as the players.

The other argument is that mahina yung bench. If Levina had actual talents and chose to not play *like the person that she is,* DLSU could have won in 3 sets.

People most specially Fans of Lady Spikers keep putting pressure to the girls about being defending champion can’t you see na they are showing their Defending champion ability and skills. This season mostly 3 sets lang sila sa other teams and hindi laging 5 sets. Mas malakas sila kung tutuusin compare before the problem is yung mga bench player they can’t function early or adapt sa loob kapag pinapasok like the starter six pero tignan din natin na laging slow start ang Lady Spikers sa set 1 so it goes to show na hindi lang yung bench players yung ganun even yung starter six. Kaya hopefully mas babad at makita natin how these ladies able to play and make it to 14 slots. Props though to Tolentino, Hernandez, Larroza, Del Castillo, and yung iba din kasi for me they contributed naman it’s just that they can’t adapt agad sa loob which is for sure iwowork on ni Coach Ramil.

Relax lang. They won and that's what matters right now. The players and the coaching staff need to adjust without Canino and they will. It would have been a disaster if they played NU or UST as their first game without Angel. This will give them time to make adjustments although that match against the experienced and battle-tested NU in 10 days will really be a challenge.
A mere "cut" did this. While it highlighted the other talents of La Salle, it also emphasized its shallow bench. Levina should have NEVER even been considered to play. Ano'ng peg ni ate, brgy. La Salle?

I don't think so lady spikers can defend their crown this season cause all throughout the game they look like they are the challenger not a defender. They have so much to improve especially to activate the middle blocker like Gagate. In every game Gagate is quiet maybe the connection between the setter. Her performance every game has a big difference last season. For me Gagate has a high percentage of attacking if the setting is good. Gagate is the main gunner also.
This is DLSU's first game without Canino and probably with little time to practice and make adjustments. So it would be interesting to see how they would perform against UE, their next opponent. UE is currently in the bottom four like UP, also has good players who can spring a surprise, but this time around the team and coaching staff would have had more time to prepare for a match without Angel in the lineup. Let's see. Animo!
Dlsu's performance was much to be desired. They led by so many points in the 3rd set, and yet much to our despair, they ran out of steam and lost the set. It's already the 3rd or 4th time they have fumbled helplessly in the set where they clearly asserted initial dominance over the opponents. UP is currently not a very strong team, Lasalle players should not have messed up like that. The coaching staff seemed to lack the spontaneous power to react. Lots of room for improvement!

It's to obvious naman na malaking kawalan si Angel, UP ang kalaban nila pero dikit lang ang laban, nakuhanan pa sila nang isang set. Kahit sabihin nila na pag may hindi makakapaglaro, may papalit naman pero hindi nila mapapantayan ang galing ni Angel maglaro.

Good day! Set 3 was a little mysterious to me. It was almost impossible to catch up for UP. At set 4, however, DLSU was already tired and they needed to adjust because they lacked another strong attacker. God bless!

@@dissbackk13 Oh wait, but you missed the point. They almost lost Set 4. The Coach was correct because of the relatively big gap or points in their favor. However, it just gave the other teams an idea on how to take advantage of what they can call a momentum shift. Also, it's a matter of luck in any game. Thanks. God bless!
