As a 14 year old this was very helpful. I litrally would tie them on and it took forever. The quality looks better and everything. Thank you girl! Very helpful!! Your very talented. 😁

Oh gosh the yarn of my current project is literally the exact same color! This has got to be a wonderful sign 🪧 🎉

It's been a lot of years since I've made fringe. We have a prayer shawl ministry group at church, and I'm a knitter. So.... So many videos make this way more complicated that it needs to be. Yours is just spot-on perfect. Just what I needed! Thanks so much ❤

So glad you found an easy answer - that's a big part of why I started a knitting channel, so happy it's lightening the load. :D Happy knitting 🧶

Hannah! Today is 22 Dec 23, on Friday, and I'm just now enjoying your video about adding fringe to a scarf! I have to admit-- I was curious why you started at the ends first, but then, when I saw you fold the scarf 🧣 in half-- I was so excited as I totally understand your logic!
This method certainly beat all that counting business, or "hoping" it came out evenly lol 😂!
Thanks Miss Hannah-- now I'm not dreading the Fringes 😂

I appreciate you saying it’s not scientific! I have fretted so many times over making holes in the right place 😂 Must be because I used to be a scientist!!

So glad that was helpful. (I don't think anyone will come along and measure your fringe placement to the nearest millimetre! xx) 😍

Thank you Hannah and Seasons Greetings from the Very Chilly UK 🎄 My first attempt at tassels some years ago was not good as instructions were quite ‘scientific’ thanks for taking the drama out of a beautiful finishing touch. I haven’t done much knitting for some time but am getting set for Project Christmas 2023 where I shall attempt to make hats and scarves for everyone. I love knitting but don’t really enjoy big projects like cardigans and things, so I have chosen my path of Throws Scarves Hats etc. Best Wishes for 2023🎉

Hello Hannah, I did a search on YT for how to make a fringe and found your channel. I really like your demonstration. It is simplified & low stress 🤩I am about to make some fringe for a crochet scarf i’ve made for a sick friend. I noticed that you teach knitting and I want to learn to knit this year. So I have subscribed and will check out your knitting tutorials. Thank you!

Oh Miss Hannah! I must have started the video where you were adding the fringes, 🫢
Because I'm starting at the beginning-- and, I've learned even more! 😄
I was always so upset because I couldn't seem to get the perfect lengths of my fringes, some were too short, some longer 😬, and now I know why! 🤗
Now, have a hard bound book, in which to make the perfect length fringe wraps!
    Again THANKS! You're a Jewel!

    Thanks for this.
I ordered a scarf online but it has really thick tassels on the ends, and I might want to adjust them to make them smaller. So... assuming I can untie them then I should be able to reuse the strands to smaller fringe.

I got them online. I think they were called 'Victorian' scissors, something like that. They're widely available, even though they look unique and antique!

    How many times to wrap?

    • @KnitWithHannah
      @KnitWithHannah  10 місяців тому

Decide how many pieces of fringe you have room for and then wrap to have four-eight strands for each piece, depending on thickness of yarn.
You can always wrap more as you have the measure there in form of your book or card.
      Happy knitting 🧶
