The order and attention to detail puts most to shame. You seem to have some wicked skills. Thanks for sharing. I'm just getting into tig. I'll be watching all your videos.
Hell yeah bro! Crazy timing too. I've been getting back into mountain biking and I'm just absolutely shocked at the prices of bikes. So I'm planning to weld up my own.
I love the flatland riding. I found when doing stuff like the crank tube it helps to use a heat sink of some kind, I use a few strips of copper stacked together to keep the tube from warping from heat. or i make an aluminium one on the lathe depending on pipe size, .065 wall SS warps pretty easy
Finish the mini bike and give it to the guy on the corner who has the pet monkey! The monkey would love the mini bike and could earn more money doing bike tricks! LOL! I imagine if you were building a full size bike you'd use back purging or solar flux. Great little project to practice welding skills.
truly loved this!!! I raced BMX from age of 7 to 18-21 ...broken clavcle (shoulder) bones each left than right ,,,,when i was 18 years and again 21 years old. I started racing heavy bikes, ? early than got on lighter to chrome molly, to Aluminum frames/ titanium forks . combos. im 46 years old now! thank ya! Dusty @pacific Arc Tig Welding. truly enjoy your channel! A Beginner again, I,am trying to learn , this welding,, beginning knowledge I have began. you are inspiring 4 sure! BMX is an great sport for kids and parents ... love your channel and work ! Thank u
Awesome!! Hey I did something nice for someone, a co-worker had an aluminum ATV ramp that needed a repair so I welded it up for him. Probably couldn’t have done it without the tips you’ve given in your videos!
I love that post flow trick, I have a problem with the bb heating up to much too. Also I'm on Vancouver Island (Victoria) and I'm a hobby bike frame builder with a jig if your interested in building a frame.
Ha! Right on. I had you playing in the background glancing back n forth and only realized exactly how tiny that lily baby is when you holding her near the end, cracked me up bro. I gotta say, now that you tease us with the frame, I'm sure many of us would like to see it finished at some point when you can fit it in the schedule - if you can source hardware to fit lol👍
Backpacker! Yeah. We probably crossed paths in the Vic bmx scene, but it would have been when you were pretty young. I left in 1997 to move to Van and live in the Basic Bikes house.
That shit is so sick I may just dig up and dust off the old S&M and find a pile of dirt. I haven't rode hard since BMXPlus! was only available in print, and the X-Games had Faris and Meyer duking it out. Do a run of 'em so I can buy one. You're a god amongst men, Dusty.
Love the content of your vids, I've been welding for around 40 years and have done a little bit of everything and I still love it and try to learn something new or different every chance I get. Keep up the good work
Drove by a Dairy a Queen billboard the other day that said "grill and chill." Literally made me laugh and think of your channel. Keep up the great work!
Hey there… my son races BMX 17-20 Int (3rd in State) in Florida! He’s starting Welding with TWS in August. He has a idea he wants to build BMX bikes and saw you 1st! He is excited to start RJR Racing bikes! Liking forward to chatting with you!
Rad man, I am gearing up to fabricate and weld a mountain bike frame next winter. You don't need a jig to build a frame. Just need to spend some time with a file perfecting the fit up. Thanks for the vid.
Great video and very cool to see you are into BMX. Hey I noted you did not back purge the inside of the chromoly tube. Is this something that you might employ if you purchase a bike kit, or possibly not required or depends on the depth of weld root. Thanks and appreciate your content... please keep it coming.
Out of curiosity could you have walked cup on all of these ?? I'm sill pretty bad at dabbing. Also. No need to back purge here ? Or didn't because its just for kicks
I may have missed it but i didn't hear anything about back purging you need to be back purging you're shielding the weld side great but the back side is unshielded. That is why when the camera shows the inside it looks burnt. I'm sure you know this but the newbies don't.
Don't know if I'm more jealous of your tig skills or that your living the Van isl life! Killer Channel man keep up the good work! Love the positivity spread at the end!
You could make a living doing custom bicycle frames. Welding is the hardest part. The rest is relatively simple design and machining. You can make a jig there's all kinds of stuff available online. I think you'd be a great frame builder
Love the video dude Im in Australia and im wanting to start building 20" frames Ill start with ill steel to figure out the geometry i want for them then go into chromo Do you have any bmx specific or weld/fab specific tips that may help Im a boilermaker by trade with a full workshop at my disposal and top of the line fronius machines
Hell yes my man! Awesome show! I knew it tho! Lol BMX frame kit costs some LOOT! and not practical for a demo lol, plus it's much cooler knowing you put in the work entirely! 👍👊 u da man. I got some 4130 tube and that stuff yes, woulda been 20 a tube, UNFINISHED OR PREPPED lol
Could you explain the comment about thin tube and the right size of filler. I think you mean you have to use relatively thin filler rod to avoid over heating the base metal?
That thing is dope, love your channel man, you are a huge influence as I'm learning how to weld in school and looking towards welding in the future. I hope you keep pushing the positivity as well
S&E PK ripper with the DK sealed hubs with a three-piece profile crank with an s&m slam bars and pitchforks and the primo hemorrhoid seat what you know about that!?! Lol I didn't know you were a BMXer and a lefty straight up the best welder on the planet in my opinion
Ok I’ve ripped up SEVERAL hemorrhoid seats in my past! Used to ride heavy street bmx back in the day! Got into flat about 10 years ago and stay at it passionately 🙏🙏🙏 Cheers my friend! Thanks for watching 🙏🍻
Hey, just found your site and I've been watching a bunch of your videos, really cool content!! I also live on Vancouver Island and I've been welding for 27 years, I did a lot of Aluminum TIG on the BC Ferries, Fast Cat Ferries back in the day! LOL. Anyways I have an Everlast 325EXT and I prefer using hand Amptrols because I seem to always be TIG welding out of position, I'm not fond of the Everlast hand Amptrol, have you ever run a different controller on your Everlast machine? I've been thinking of buying a CK and rewiring it
Dude I didn’t know you rode BMX? I also ride! I was the BMX director of Woodward west in 2010. 🤘 do you mostly ride flatland? if you’re ever in Oregon let’s catch a session.
Dude I am a new subscriber about a week a go. I think I’ve watched all your videos now your shit is dope made me buy a Tig welder. I’ve never done it before. I have mig welded and arc welded this is new to me I fucking love it!!! keep up the good videos
Braaadddddd that’s DOPE. I appreciate hearing that so much. I’m stoked you got pumped on it, happy to help in any way! Have fun and let me know how it goes!
When I first started welding all I had was thin metal to practice on. It's not that hard if you get the hang of it. I was doing that with MIG. I'd imagine it's even easier to TIG weld, especially with pulse.
Hey bud have you ever had to build up the teeth on a sprocket? Instead of buying an expensive new sprocket for my mini excavator I figured I would try to reman it so to speak and it’s working well .... I’m not sure how to send a pic but if I could I would ..... like your vids
Thanks for watching! Check out my latest project 🔥🔥🔥 ua-cam.com/video/Dnz_kkdBVQ8/v-deo.html
Another good video
Will do
What a channel, TIG Welding AND BMX.........I'm Subbed
Haha much respect my friend 🙏🍻 Thanks for watching!
2 legends🙏👍
I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that you don't have millions of followers... Amazing artist with amazing skills.
Haha thank you. I appreciate the kind words:) I appreciate every person who watches🙏🍻

Super dope! You should mount and frame that as an art piece.
That’s a cool idea actually... cheers and appreciate you watching 🙏🍻
Mad props for the hitchhiker at the end!
As a nearly life long bmxer(30 years riding, and 33 years old) I am absolutely in love with this episode.
That is just sick!
Awesome!! Hey I did something nice for someone, a co-worker had an aluminum ATV ramp that needed a repair so I welded it up for him. Probably couldn’t have done it without the tips you’ve given in your videos!
Broooooo I love this. You rule. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🍻
Definitely gifted
I appreciate you watching! Cheers🍻
Old but gold
Tig welder 30 years. Not bad brother. I just welded up a couple of TT frames for a guy here in Australia. The bike came up super light.
Nice! Good to hear! And cheers from another bmx rider to another mate!🤙🙏
Dumb question: TT = titanium? Sounds pretty sweet!
I love that post flow trick, I have a problem with the bb heating up to much too. Also I'm on Vancouver Island (Victoria) and I'm a hobby bike frame builder with a jig if your interested in building a frame.
Wuuuuuttttttt. Good to know. Vic city!❤️🔥
Ha!
If you do decide to make a full size, it would be cool to see a custom titanium frame!
Sweet project
Backpacker! Yeah. We probably crossed paths in the Vic bmx scene, but it would have been when you were pretty young. I left in 1997 to move to Van and live in the Basic Bikes house.
Epic project buddy!
@Let's try aluminum one! For us who love bmx supercross!
Epic vid.!

Nice work. Nice colors
Now go ride it! 🤣
😂😂😂 That’d be a blooper reel for sure!🍻
Drove by a Dairy a Queen billboard the other day that said "grill and chill." Literally made me laugh and think of your channel. Keep up the great work!
I bet you could TIG stainless steel appliances like fridges and stoves with artwork for people
That's an awesome 💡 idea. Great job for fun hope your kids enjoy it.I work in a welding shop and I help strangers in my Star City daily.
You aught to build a full size frame in stainless just for cruising. It would look awesome!
great. I've been following you
Hey there… my son races BMX 17-20 Int (3rd in State) in Florida! He’s starting Welding with TWS in August. He has a idea he wants to build BMX bikes and saw you 1st! He is excited to start RJR Racing bikes! Liking forward to chatting with you!
This is cool man. I hope you get to build you a full size bike, I would like to see it.
Man you have some great skills welding and on a bike full respect to you. Love your channel and the art you do it’s amazing Thankyou for sharing it👍👍
You should make the little bike a complete build ,. I would buy it from you .
YOU'VE GOTTA MAKE SOME STANDING GEAR FORKS FOR THAT THING
Rad man, I am gearing up to fabricate and weld a mountain bike frame next winter. You don't need a jig to build a frame. Just need to spend some time with a file perfecting the fit up. Thanks for the vid.
Nice job Dusty. You are unquestionably one of UA-cam's finest video teachers.. Keep it up buddy..
Amazing! And small...
Great video and very cool to see you are into BMX. Hey I noted you did not back purge the inside of the chromoly tube. Is this something that you might employ if you purchase a bike kit, or possibly not required or depends on the depth of weld root. Thanks and appreciate your content... please keep it coming.
Love your welds bro , I from the Philippine
Yup not to bad !
thats rad!
Out of curiosity could you have walked cup on all of these ?? I'm sill pretty bad at dabbing. Also. No need to back purge here ? Or didn't because its just for kicks
Nice I need a frame myself
That top tube/seat tube joint @ 2:51 is looking pretty porous.
S&m sells parts to diy a frame, I would love to see a video making one
Any particular reason why you didn’t pulse for the thin wall ?
Using 1 inch length tungsten with the "button" back cap make things a little better about gaining torch space.
Awesome! 2X
Great skills Dusty. The welding's not bad either. 😀👍
You ride flatland . My dream is to build my own flatland frame forks and bars . I really hope you do that as a project I'd love to see it
Great videos man!
Thank you! Thanks for watching as well!🍻
Super fun, id like to see more vids like this one!
I may have missed it but i didn't hear anything about back purging you need to be back purging you're shielding the weld side great but the back side is unshielded. That is why when the camera shows the inside it looks burnt. I'm sure you know this but the newbies don't.
Tiny bmx'er needed🍺

Do you have any bmx specific or weld/fab specific tips that may help
Im a boilermaker by trade with a full workshop at my disposal and top of the line fronius machines
Who’s gas lens kit are you using ? And where did you find that mini BMX frame ? Thanks
Wondering if you still do online classes still? How much for online classes? I just starting and really loving welding but man
Damn dude another 2 am night..im gunna pay for that in the morning..still worth it.
Haha coffee ready for the morning...!💪💪
Triple espresso and off to stitch metal together with fire...
Sweet
: "Not too bad..." Man... I'd be tickled purple with TIG welds like these.
Could you explain the comment about thin tube and the right size of filler. I think you mean you have to use relatively thin filler rod to avoid over heating the base metal?

Awesome vid👍👍
dope! following!
Are you do fabrication as well or just the welding?
New to your channel , you look like a top bloke from a fellow lefty tig welder. Can I ask if the art sells well?
Pocket bike 😉, small nice jop 👍
Dude you have a gift for welding, keep up the kool videos
Sick with it that's cool video
Such a cool piece man. I love it 👍🏼👍🏼
Fantastico!!!!!

If only everyone who welded on the planet had a UA-cam channel, so you could actually know.
No back purge?
Have you done any full bmx frame builds? one of the reasons I got into welding was because I wanted to build frames cranks forks ect..
Really cool video dusty 👌🔥 your a master on the bmx too 😉👊
Looks like it was a fun little project Bro. Hope you get a chance to make a full size bike frame sometime.
Hey this frame is for collection item !! Nice job I want make one
What gas flow are you running?
Do you pedal bump when it is that thin or just move out and moderate the heat with the pedal?
Hey, just found your site and I've been watching a bunch of your videos, really cool content!! @@PacificArcTigWelding My buddy works at a water jet cutting place so I get lots of scraps to practice on they also have the biggest lathe in Canada
Such a nice little frame! But I can bet is not that easy to weld. Small diameter pipes are tricky 😁
When I first started welding all I had was thin metal to practice on. It's not that hard if you get the hang of it. I was doing that with MIG. I'd imagine it's even easier to TIG weld, especially with pulse.
Very Awesome.

🤩🤩🤩
Hey brother I love your stuff I got into welding after I sobered up and I love it how is school going online
Hey, I’m currently finishing up rebuilding my milling machine.
If you want to design your own frame, I can mill all the tubes and joints for you.
How cute is that hahahahahahah
Hey bud have you ever had to build up the teeth on a sprocket? Instead of buying an expensive new sprocket for my mini excavator I figured I would try to reman it so to speak and it’s working well .... I’m not sure how to send a pic but if I could I would ..... like your vids
Make a tiny one, key ring size !
Ooof that’d be tough😂 I did make some key ring handlebars once, they kept poking holes in my pockets tho...😂
Trailing cup helps alot, not sure if anyone has said that.
