Our Love of Neighbor Through God - SSPX Sermons

- Out of God's love for us, we have heard Him speak; he has walked among us. Through this love, He has forgiven our sins and called us to be His children. As His children, we must love one another, for as St. John tells us "charity is born of God" and "he that does not love does not know God, for God is charity."

"Charity has walked the earth and forgiven us." Lord Jesus Christ, save us. Attend the Latin Mass.
Epic sermon. There are so many people today who do not know God and do not know charity. I pray we can fulfill our Catholic duty to help others know God and know charity.
Excellent sermon God bless you Father
Exactly the message I need to hear at this moment. Deo gratias.
A friend reminded me that Charity is rooted in Truth. Good sermon
Quite possibly the best homily I have ever heard
Thank you for this. God bless and have a great week.
Without faith in Jesus, we cannot truly love as He has commanded. True faith will naturally have works, as St. James teaches. Those works are essentially charity - loving one's neighbor for the love of God. It isn't about liking the person or having good feelings about them, but rather willing the highest good for the other and working towards it. In modern parlance, love gets confused with acceptance of sin. Such is not charity for sin is the greatest evil.
How can I love someone who rejects God altogether and sins daily without regrets ?
The same way God loves them, I suppose. Sorrowfully praying and sacrificing for them
If you mean love in the human sense of feelings of affection, you probably shouldn't love them.
If you mean love in the sense of the theological virtue, then as always, our example is Christ crucified.
He not only begged His Father to forgive His executioners, He also made excuses for their betrayal.
For many years, after I receive Communion, I have prayed:
Lord Jesus,
Make me free to love
Teach me how to love
Take away my fear
So that I may learn to love like You.
I'm not sure I'll ever get totally there.
There but for the grace of God go I. Your responsibility is not to judge but to bring The Light. God loves that person too. If you love God, you should love what He loves.
Think about no bad thoughts, such as "Oh this person will surely die". One thing you could do is to pray for their conversion. I found that the Catholic church's main way of conversion is through attraction, though.
Do not condemn them also, lest you wish to be. Luke 6:36 "Forgive if you want to be forgiven....."
Prayer. Very simply prayer & true Charity. I have lived a life with someone entrenched in sin, but is no more. It is painful & long, I still suffer the painful memories, but it can be done
Is the book Father references toward the end of his Sermon "To Quell the Terror", the one by William Bush. And if so is there a recommended edition? Thank you.
