32:12 that’s actually a different clock. When Jax says the clock is broken the clock shown is clearly round but after the scene where Gangle says it is broken the clock changes to this square one
Kind of ironic to make all those remarks about how dumb Jax is for not just moving the clock when it was broken, only to not notice it was a different clock at the end of the day. Heck, even adding in that bit about the clock moving during the time lapse, something that was clearly added in after the reaction and he had the time to actually look back and review things, he still, somehow, didn't notice it was a different clock. Very strange.
@@Rubberman202 To be fair, it's a pretty subtle change to catch onto, I'm just surprised because I felt like it was a pretty safe assumption that it was just fixed or replaced, even without noticing the different shape.
DAMN YOUR RIGHT! Well the mystery is solved haha. Good eye for detail and good move on goose to change the shape to stop the contradiction and keep the detail for the scene
So good to see Hobo Ryan reunited with his long lost “really, REALLY good friend” Gummigoo after so long. They’re such good friends that don’t lovingly smooch each other off-screen
@livedeadman there's lots of them, actually. Like the fact that we hear number 57 throughout the whole series in different contexts because it's apparently Gooseworx's favorite number.
When Caine is giving the score to Gangle, Kinger is the only one that got a A+ and he is randomly riding a bull in the photo, that is so funny to me for some reason 😆
Your reaction to Zooble being dropped through Caine's trapdoor was the same reaction I had to Jax throwing Ragatha in the deep fryer. That immediately had me dying.
2:30 - That reaction made me wonder, did you remember that Gangle's "happy mask" gets broken every episode? That's why the plastic mask Zooble gave Gangle is so significant, because it doesn't break as easily. Of course, if this episode proved anything, it's the the mask Gangle wears doesn't represent her true emotions, not just because she still gets depressed while wearing her new happy makes, but also that she manages to smile a genuine smile while wearing her "Tragedy" mask. I'd also like to point out that It's never confirmed or denied that the fast food place suggestion was actually Gangle's idea, Caine just picked it, asked if it was "normal" per Gangle's request for a "normal" adventure, and Gangle said it did sound pretty "normal." She also didn't definitively say that they SHOULD do that, though she seemed pretty happy about it at first, probably because it sounded like a more down-to-Earth adventure. She probably does feel partially responsible for why everyone ended up hating the adventure and how that contributed to her depressive state at the end of it all. 6:32 - Speaking of which, did you ever watch that video "A Very Special Digital Circus Song"? It's actually really funny, even though it's basically an ad, would also recommend watching that. When it comes to the Gummigoo situation, I honestly think it's more impressive that Pomni is able to let go of Gummigoo and get any kind of closure with him. It shows how much Pomni has grown since she came to the Digital Circus (even though it's only been too episodes since we last saw Gummigoo). Her growth is also shown by her willingness to help others instead of needing help herself, such as with Gangle in this episode... In fact, it's nice that Pomni went on an adventure that wasn't completely traumatizing for her for once. Even if everyone else had a rough go of it, Pomni managed to get through this one rather smoothly, suddenly seeing Gummigoo again and learning how Gloink reproduction works aside. 26:19 - Fun Fact: what Ragatha said there is a direct quote from Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure, specifically the song "I'm No Girl's Toy!" I like how Pomni hung a lampshade of how she ends up doing a private heart-to-heart with other characters, only for this one to not really go anywhere and for Gangle to brush her off and go back to work, still pretending everything's fine even when she's very clearly not fine. It really is a good thing Pomni stepped in to close up for Gangle, I think she might have fallen off the deep end if left on her own at that moment. Speaking of Gangle, though, about the whole "going crazy with power" thing... I don't think she went THAT overboard while working as a manager. Like, the only one she was excessively cruel to was Jax, and let's be real, he kind of had it coming. She genuinely tried to help out Ragatha when she was falling behind on assembling burgers, and was just kind of brushed off by her. She DID act a little weird with her forced positivity a lot of the time, but I at least understand wanting to have a positive atmosphere at work, even if she went about it in a way that was kind of obnoxious. And again, when talking to Ragatha, she seemed a lot more reserved and patient, up until Ragatha told her she was annoying while wearing her happy mask. She wasn't really being overly demanding either, she just wanted everyone to do their jobs (again, with the exception of Jax, who again, had a lot of it coming). I dunno, I think if she was REALLY mad with power, she would have given Pomni and Ragatha a harder time for undermining her authority, and yet she didn't. At least, that's how I see it.
This episode was meant a lot to Gooseworx. This feels like something that they themself had been through and it's just basically her, but as gangle. Also, I'm sure Pomni wanted to cry, but because she was working, I think she just put it aside. She probably cried off-screen maybe, it did seem like she was gonna cry, but held it back. Also, she may had realized that there was just no point, as she knew in a way that she would see him again, so why bother?
32:41 There’s a theory going around that this scene is the start of Gangles abstraction, which explains why she was starting to get a bit looney as you say. Personally I think it’s just the void of depression Gangle feels after wearing the happy mask for so long, being exhausted from having to keep the cheerful persona and wishing she didn’t have to fake it (which is even more sad when you realize none of the others actually liked her happy persona).
Yeah. A lot of people have compared it to the process of masking that those with adhd and autism have to do in order to seem “normal”/neurotypical to others. Gangle clearly is depressed and lonely which made it easy for Jax to bully her and push her around. The moment she begins masking and falling back into the persona/role of a manager that she previously did. She has to pretend she’s happy and has to be in charge. I think what adds to the masking idea is that the comments from others like from Ragatha really strike a cord with neurodivergent people. When you try to act normal it’s not unusual to still be sussed out by others and get mean comments towards you for just being different. Also, side note. It’s strange when I see people demonize Gangle or Ragatha from this episode. Like saying Gangle is a cruel control freak or Ragatha is evil and doesn’t care about anyone when neither are true. Gangle was given the role of shift manager and with being a manager you have to act and be the figure of authority for employees. Jax also quickly realized had he met Gangle irl and not in the circus that she wouldn’t have tolerated his bullying. While Ragatha getting called evil because she’s frustrated with people wanting more from her despite being intoxicated is classic drunk/high behavior. And when she does say stuff like how she hates Jax, I mean, can you blame her? The amount of abuse she also receives from him is astonishing. In this episode alone he drops her in a goddamn deep fryer. I can totally understand why she hates him. She’s not evil she’s just trying to get by and accidentally got intoxicated once and let her lips loose about other peoples treatment of her. Sorry. Needed to get this off my chest.
The season 2 finally of Helluva Boss is out as well. 7:25 Zoobles voice actor I believe is Ashley Nickels. A clean up animator that worked on the Hazbin hotel pilot.

And also the Spudsy’s episode they work at in this episode is a near one to one replica of the one she worked at. Just something cool I’d like to point out.
Ryan, you should probably stay off of R34 for your own mental safety. Also, watching the childlike wonder on your face from seeing Zooble fall down a hole with an echoing scream was infectious
tbh i dont think they can cry. if u recall in the hall to hell in episode 3, pomni cried, but there was no tears, you can only hear it in her voice. i think only gangle can cry with tears.
