✅How to PACK COLOR WITH A ROUND SHADER 🤘 For Beginners and beyond 🤘
Вставка

- Today we will go over COLOR PACKING WITH A ROUND SHADER. I find it best to look at the different needle configurations as you would when choosing the correct paintbrush for a piece you are working on as this is no different. I prefer to use Round Shaders for areas that are a bit smaller and would be to difficult for mag to do comfortably. I hope you enjoy the video and Most importantly take your time with small circles and ensure you keep that hand moving as to not over work the skin.
Hope you all enjoyed the video and if you did give it up a thumbs up and consider subscribing!!

Thank you bro. You’ve helped me alot. I been following you for about 8 months now and I got a lot of good info from you and a few others from UA-cam. I now am 7 months into tattooing. Started off on fake skin for 4-5 months and been tattooing myself and others for about 2 months now. Been doing great in my humble opinion and got many eager clients awaiting me and am proud and passionate about my work. It really bright something out of me. Thanks again! And keep it humble and solid bro! 💯
Jay from Los Angeles!
I’ve sent in my work to you for feedback but haven’t got chosen I guess 😓 lol hopefully one day
Hey man is there any disscount available on the guidelines right now?
As a person in an apprenticeship where I’m essentially teaching myself at this point I’m so thankful for these videos 😭
Mentors these days suck lol good luck
Absolutely right
Unfortunately no one has the time to teach anymore, absolutely stupid in this type of industry. You’ll get there don’t give up 😊
Thanks for the Ink Dave! It was a blast! ☘️
No problem man it was great to meet you and to have the opportunity to make a bright fun tattoo🤘👍
I love that technique... The round shader is my best friend in a tight spot if I need to color pack.
this video is absolutely perfect! thank you so much for sharing ❤
Your very welcome im glad it could help you out and thank you for the support!🤘🙏
Awesome content! Keep it up! Waiting for next video 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
What color ink do you use?
Sup Dave!!!! I been patiently waiting, I’m as high as giraffe ass waiting on your videos, I’m about to run out of bud.
Sup Indio!! Almost out of BUD.... Dang you better get your priorities straight lol! Thanks for the support brother and Keep ROcking!!🤘🙏🤘
@@ArtSomething jk the day I run out of bud will be the day hell will freeze over, and get water too, I also have done cannabis cultivation when I lived in Colorado on my life journey, ahh the good I’ll days well had to grow up and be a tattoo artist and a cannabis connoisseur 🧐
So I have a quick question. I think I’m decent at packing color, but every time I try to pack an area with white it just doesn’t stick and ends up just falling out with scarring. Could you possibly give me any tips as to why white seems to be my enemy 😔
Was working this weekend & found out that yellow is a bitch to get my skin to take. Was tearing up my skin so I switched to a different color.
What the ink ???
Eternal and intenz are the brands of ink I used
Slangs da ink like a pipen hot hot knife thru frozen butter brutha word to muva
all i can say is be careful packing with an RS if you go over the skin twice with them it will VERY easily traumatize the skin
So I’m very new to tattooing. It’s always been something that I wanted to do, and I just finally ordered a machine a few weeks ago and have been practicing on fake skin. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your videos. There’s so much gatekeeping in the tattoo world that it’s ALMOST impossible to learn anything. I have a very good friend who’s been a tattoo artist for years and she basically told me to go f**k myself when I asked for any advice from her and told me those are “trade secrets”.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving us newbies (and veterans I’m sure) more insight into this than we’d ever get from anywhere else.
You rock! Thank you!
I hope that person isn’t your friend anymore cause they sound like a POS
As someone who is working on my apprenticeship right now to get my license…. F*** HER lol. I know people who are thriving being “scratchers”. As long as you take the health/sanitation seriously then you should be ok. I actually wonder if having a license is going to matter in the future. Anyway, just be careful about the tattoo laws in your state.
Not much of a friend if you ask me
Sorry thats not a friend
What inks are you using though 🤔?
Aye my guy that is fire huh im a owner of the shader and and packer impeccable specimens
Thank you for this. I've only just started tattooing, using practice skin and was struggling with colour packing. I'm off to try this now! 🙂
Hows it coming along?
On fake skin is harder to pack than real skin , keep it up
Awesome video brother. And I love the welding reference. Being a mechanical engineer and tattoo artist I noticed the similarities in the movement immediately
THank you Richard really appreciate that man!🤘🙏 And yeah I figured if anyone has done some welding they may be able to relate the motion so im glad to hear you have noticed similarities as well.
What brand of color ink do you use ?
I use eternal and intenz
Loved this video. I almost always use round shaders to do my white highlights. Turn my machine down and go just a smidge deeper. Solid tips bro, as always 🙏🙏🙏 God bless
Very true round shaders do pretty good for highlighting. Thanks for the continued support Rhyno!🤘🙏
Great video. It would be cool to see a video showing how to shade with RS. It seems RS is pretty muvh being used to line or tight color packing
Thanks for this video! I personally love using shaders and find they fill colour in way better than a mag. I dont tattoo anyone but myself and my boyfriend but its great having a channel and artist i can rely on for tips and to help improve my skills! Thanks again!
Hey brotha I know you're super busy but I was just curious...I purchased the books and it says you get one direct question free but I never got anything back, I was just wondering if it went through by chance?
Sorry about that Mark I will certainly be checking into that today.
@@ArtSomething I appreciate you brother and I know life comes at us all day everyday so no rush I just wasn't sure how I could ask a question here with a reference picture as I did there so definitely take your time and whenever you have time is cool!!
I practiced color packing on myself...I irritated my skin fast..any pointers? I followed ur tips voltage and hand speed plus needle depth...could it be the ink brand? (Mommas)
Literally had the same issues, skin irritated quickly and I also use mommas, it had happened in only one spot though, the rest was a breeze and I’m not really sure what I changed (although I did change the needle cause I assumed maybe it was no good)
Your wording and explanations are perfect. Thanks man!
What settings would you recommend with the CNC P6 for round shader packing? Thanks!!
Love these videos. So helpful. Love to learn more and watch.
I love the vivid, bright colours you chose!
Thank you Smoke it was a fun one and a great excuse to use some bright colors for a change. Thanks again brother always appreciate your support! 🤘🙏
hey dave, are u riding the tube when colour packing?
I just tried Tattooing some fake skin for the 2nd time and I'm hooked. I probably tattooed for like 4 hours straight just trying different things out
Glad to hear your on fake skin as that is a great place to start and work with for a while. Dont be in a rush to jump to skin just do the best work you can on fake skin then keep doing it. Slow and steady wins the race. Best of luck to you and Thank you for the support! 🤘🙏
hahahaha eye was jus doing this techniuqe on myself
I love the welding analogy
Thank you for this video in my apprenticeship I learned from black and grey artists and they couldn’t teach me this info
Your very welcome Adia! And glad the channel could help you out in the color department.🤘
I always have to tell my self to slow down
Yeah same here. Sometimes I just get in a grove and wanna go to fast. Always reminding myself slow down take it easy.
Probably have to tell ourselves more when we get a new machine 😂
Whats the brand of the ink?
What inks are you using though ?
I use Eternal and intenz mainly for color. I use dynamic black for my black and star bright for my white.
@@ArtSomethingI've been looking at eternal ink and intenz. What eternal orange would you reccomend for a tiger tattoo. Wanting to go for a darker side shade.
This is a big help thank u
You say lining quite a bit during this video. I would like to mention lining with a RS is totally doable. Also consider you can get bugpin RS. I love a #10 11RS for lining bold lines. Can also add in straight needle configurations in the same category. They're soldered father back from the tip but not quite as far as a RS. Coming from a guy that was tattooing before mags existed. All we had were liners and round shaders. An indispensable tool. Also really like a #8 5RS for realism tattooing. Works similar to a 3RL but more gentle on the skin.
Your very right about that as we did a video about lining with round shaders a while back and I still really enjoy using RS for those times when you want that thick single pass line. I have yet to try #8RS, and I think its time i give one a try. Thank you for sharing Dan appreciate that man!🤘
Recently I've started exclusively usind round liners and shaders I only use a mag now for packing very large areas, I've just completed a piece doing exactly that I will send it to you if you like to see it
I can understand that as round shaders really put the ink quick and deliberately. But yes when it comes to those large areas a mag usually works best. Thanks for the support Luke and keep killing it man! 🤘🙏
Love❤ from Nepal🇳🇵
Great work for beginners
Thank you🙏❤
Thank you so much Prabhat!! Much love back at you! 🤘🙏
Great video, I know i always take away something form these videos, keep up the amazing work
your videos make me learn how to tattoo. need to watch more, coz someday and somehow i could use your technic on doing this kind of art
Amazing video as always , Do you have a video on water splash by any chance I’ve been scrolling your channel and can’t find one :)
i love these videos you make and the colours in that tattoo are just insane looking! thanks for always sharing youre tips with us and thanks for always being so humble!!
What ink do you use? It looks to be a lot thicker than what I’m using and more vivid. I need some of what you use!
METO ! did u find out ? My colors don’t hold at all but these colors I love
completely changed how i tattoo 🔥🔥🔥
Working dark to light ..cool
Just last week I was searching for a video like this! Thank goodness you posted this lol , been following since I started my tattoo journey in 2020 and I’m very grateful for the advice and input🙌🏼
7 volts with shader for packing and for the thin line tattoo you use a rl5 bugpin, on 7,5 Volts , i do it just the other way , less power for thin liners and almoust max power for packing , so i am curious , why those voltages ?
Very awesome video yet again. You really are such a big help brother. Question....... how do I get that annoying ink off of my fake skin and to stop blending with my other colors tinting the colors to the point where it is a completely different color. Just from the wipes alone
sick peace
Thanks Cory really appreciate that man. And thanks for watching, commenting and supporting the channel my friend! 🤘🙏
Nice piece homie!
Thanks Chris! Much appreciated man and thanks for the support! 🤘🙏
anyone use a Dan Kubin sidewinder? I can’t seem to figure out what voltage/stroke # to set it at to get it to pack well.
so i am still learning to tattoo and when i stretch the skin and i start my color packing it doesnt seem to want to stick and i go slow and steady but not to slow that i chop the skin up but i did 1 on my sister that she asked for and it turned out awesome but it took a very long time for a small tattoo and if i try and go a little deeper so it sticks better she says im to heavy handed and to lighten up, how do i get the color to stick well like here in this video that you have done, you only had to go over a spot like 1 time, so how do i do that without being heavy handed.
Dang. Stonemountain64 doing tattoos! Nice work!
Thanks for making these videos. Im just getting started and they’ve been a big help.
I can say im a welder and a tattooer, not an artist but tattooer. With you quoting rs shading is like welding makes more sense to me! Thanks!
I’ve been tattooing myself. How long do I have to wait before I can touch up areas that are not saturated ?
Great video. Seems like the ink is packing in there nicely. Did you do some of the lining with the shader in this one?
Thank you! Subscribed!
i appreciate you for this video 🙏🏽🦔🌓🐡🙏🏽
Whenever I use a round shader it tears up the skin so badly and causes major scabbing
What’s the name of the brand of color inks you use?
Great video bro. Good info.
Stay solid
Looks like u did the whole tat with that round shader
That’s soo awesome amazing tat man
What brand ink is the turq bro?
Thanks a Lot 💙💙💙
Love it bro keep up the awesome work ( seen the finished piece on instagram)
Your on it today Jason! Thank you brother really appreciate that and for the support on IG as well!! Keep ROcking Jason!🤘🙏
@@ArtSomething whenever you get the down time could you show us some more work on working with hair (women, animals, etc) and watercoloring.
