You worked through it so quickly I love that! This is why I’d never do another relaxer myself, at home. This is why I advocate for only getting chemical treatments done at the salon
I know you cannot relax over bleached hair. . . BUT you can lighten/bleach relaxed hair. The order in which it’s done makes a difference. I never did these two services in same day, at least not when lightening hair
Over fifteen years ago I had my color haired and relaxed at the same time. (Not on different days but both in the fall of 2002). My hair dresser said that I could either do one or the other. That was the only time I colored my hair. I stopped relaxing my hair after a certain point. My hair hates both. It likes to be left alone.
I used relax on my dyed hair and it completely removed the color and caused damage. I was stupid I didn’t know and I left for 30 min lol luckily I was able to fix my hair with deep emergency cream for chemical hair and a reconstruction cream. In less then two weeks I got my hair back and healthy I'm so happy. Now I'm definitely not gonna use this box hair dyed anymore, instead, I am gonna use the watercolour from Adora and when I relax and bleach I am gonna use Olaplex. So I don't need to deal with different chemicals on my hair.
My rule is, if you relax don't bleach. If you bleach don't relax. Olaplex can only guard against so much damage. I agree with you ladies, a disaster ready & waiting to happen.
I have relaxed my colour treated hair 😶😶 No its not falling out... But its not as strong either... It can snap quite easily so I tend not to do much with it
@@NishaStClair-wg1gy I am watching this because I have been wanting a pixie style for sooo long now. and I have it long enough for it bet the top is bleached with about 1/2 in of new growth. I dont mind cutting it off but dont want to waist my time creaming it
With my hair being about an inch long, I’ve been wanting bleach blond with a relaxer. Still seems like I can’t get it because the new growth will definitely touch the colored hair. Ugh! I wonder...
I want to relax my edges. I do this like once a year but never done it on bleached hair… how long should I wait to relax just my edges on my newly coloured (bleached) edges ?
so i used a box due to dye my hair lighter, but ended up dying it allll back to dark brown. i was going to wait a month before i relax it, but so even though i dyed it back to brown it will fall out? lol noo. please someone respond with an answer !
It will fall out from triple processing. Deep conditionings every four days for 12 weeks, protein treatments every 6 weeks, let your hair grow out at least 6 inches before relaxing and ONLY use a mild relaxer
Mya M I’m glad 👏 I thought I was too late. Too many of us have lost our hair to these chemicals. I had to learn the hard way 4 years ago but I’m back to mid back length and using wigs for color enhancement
Bianca Lord Yes!!! good for you. my hair is so much more healthier now, it’s really growing. and to get the straight look, i just do my own roller set ❤️ so no more heat ever!
That client is a mess with that highlift color and getting a relaxer and scalp on fire. She needs to make a choice. Color or relaxer. Not both. That’s just a mess and her hair looks dry and damaged anyway. This was a mess to watch.
Yes you can and safely! It’s all about continuing education and using the right products.. I specialize in it. No hair loss and the integrity of the hair still intact
That color is 😝 gross! It look like a boxed color job that she did at home. She got alot of harsh chemicals going on. Color, relaxer gee. Some people of color try to hard!!!
Her color and relaxer turned out beautiful that's why you go to the professional to get your hair done stop with the petty small negative remarks it's NOT your hair

I like the fact that you were super careful with her color treated hair.. you did a good job, I learned alot🤗
I'm impressed how you took your time and enlightening us at the same time. THANKS
OMG where is this lady. She is true Professional and so knowledgeable! She is a wonderful instructor. Hope she's here in Atlanta!
Well this explains why mine broke off and fell out. Had to get it cut into a bob
Olaplex! olaplex! olaplex! And yes , your tips are on point.
EXACTLY EXACTLY! I AGREE 100% WITH OLAPLEX

I wouldn't do this without Olaplex. Bleach blonde and hydroxide is a disaster waiting to happen.
I wouldn't either. That's damage waiting to happen.

@@kiki1965 I AGREE! SMH!
@@rachelwhitaker4041 😉
That color is horrible and needs to be toned to get all that brassy/yellow out.
The back of her hair already looks broken.
EXACTLY! I AGREE!
Looks like from traction, maybe she use to wear wigs?
This would of been very beautiful as a silk press instead. But great job.
I AGREE!
Agreed too
So watch a silk press video. Not everbody got time to keep doing silk presses
So what if your natural with colour treated and you wanna get it relaxed.. Do i follow the procedure??
I would like to know too!
let your roots grow out and then straighten the rest with an iron until you can grow it ou
I have relaxed my colour treated hair 😶😶

@@NishaStClair-wg1gy really? Did you relax it yourself?

what is the best perm for color treated hair for in between salon visits
I watched this expecting to see the finished results and it just ended without doing that.
When she said “it becomes hair removal”, I bout died! This is so true though 💯🙋🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ #IKnowFromExperience #HairWentDownTheDrain 🤣
Was the colored hair previously relaxed

if the lift of blonde is high than 5 it will straightened the hair texture. The high you.lift the more curl you lose
Hey I had my hair a inch long for 6 years and I was a level 8 blonde. The bleach made my hair super straight.
My hair is shedding like crazy
What mild relaxer are you using?
Was that food old girl had on the counter top?
Old girl?????
I Like Your Work I Am In Fla
I haven’t recd my sea moss that was sent

Never relax bleached hair, it will fall out. You must relax before you ever bleach hair periods.

@ blue bird a relaxer for black or mixed hair is not the same but olaplex is good when coloring
Was her hair bleached ?
My hair is blonde and her hair looks like it's already broke in the back...I'm just saying
Relaxers, always burning so glad I never needed one
Nobody needs a relaxer, they simply want a relaxer.
She said hair removal 😂😂😂
Really 😔

Can you color and relax hair at the same time?
def dont do that. To many chemicals. You want to wait 2 weeks after your hair color before perming.
Yes you can and safely! It’s all about continuing education and using the right products.. I specialize in it. No hair loss and the integrity of the hair still intact
Semi permanent color yes. It's basically pigmented conditioner. Anything with peroxide, not recommended till 2 weeks later.
I used to do it all the time. What took my hair clean off was bleaching THEN relaxing. Would never do it today lol.

Clydes Winfield I think the stylist said she did it for her.

People of color???????
Clydes Winfield what color are YOU oh faceless troll?
You do know that white people literally color and perm/relax their hair too, right?
When I tell you I was sweating watching this 😂
