My great, great, great grandma Eliza came to America, from Cornwall. So, I Love seeing you two having fun on your walkabouts. Soo much of which would never happen in the U.S.!🙄 I like watching the Documentaries, ghost stories, Legends and Archeological digs of Cornwall. Time Team did an episode of the two Churches and St. Michael's Island. One day, I hope to take a Cornish Walking Trail on my own!🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🤗 (Vera Kitty likes to watch the screen and play the cat games sometimes but, she really enjoyed listening and watching you, too😉)
It's been so grizzly hasn't it... but some nicer days recently to enjoy thankfully 🌅. Loving this walk with you and wanting to go to looe and Talland now... haven't been for ages 💞. The churches in Cornwall are always so beautiful aren't they...have you ever been to Creed Church near Grampound... it's in such a stunning place but not coastal. There is a walk from the church, which is written on the church gates... I've forgotten what it's called, but might be one for the spring..summer, as it gets a little muddy in the winter. I'm not sure if it's a circular walk however, but just thought it might be somewhere different for you both. Always interesting seeing different roads into a town when you do these circulars 👌😁💝😘
Yes, we have been to Creed church, and enjoyed a walk from Grampound, to Golden and Trewithen, very muddy in places from memory and also there is an alternative route when the shooting season is going on! So several challenges to get the moment right to film, as we would like to have no mud, no shooting and Trewithen flowers and cafe open!!! Not much to ask! Maybe one day... Sarah :)
What a beautiful, peaceful place. Very strange about the camera battery - definitely something going on there! Loved the little picture at the end, Sarah. x
Yes, the camera battery kind of spooked me out - Andrew didn't help! Of the two of us, I am more sceptical until tested, and he is a believer, so he takes every opportunity to wind me up!! Sarah :)
Hello guys, such a great vlog, Cornwal is beautiful city, stunning views of the ocean and landscapes, really enjoyed every scenes you made, great shots, thanks for sharing👍stay in touch👌
A real stunning day, haven’t been to Looe in many years, it’s quite a short message today, I’m struggling to recover from covid, I feel like I have gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson, and lost 😞 I love how furry friend enjoys helping you to seek out the sea glass treasures, they look quite bountiful, ten out of ten for the pebble stack attempt Andrew, wonky tower brilliant Sarah, love the story of Talland Church, but not how you managed to arrive there, what a climb! it looks very beautiful and peaceful, rather eerie when you batteries failed when they did! I have noticed eerie things tend to happen to you Sarah, I know the feeling 🥴 thank you 🙏 for another remarkable walking tour🤗
Hello Bernice. Thought I'd find you here. Still in the ring with Miky Tyson? I'm sorry to hear that. Are you taking your miracle medicine? Sarah's and Andrew's beautiful and interesting walk was surely a welcome distraction and got you back in memory lane.🤩
@@GalwayGirl1 hi! I guessed you would find me here on this beautiful refreshing day, it did take me down memory Lane, and last night I started watching ‘Poldark’ again, I’m just waiting for the day I can put my nose outside without it freezing, still struggling with some side effects mostly at night, I seem to be pillow fighting a lot and arguing with the bed cloth’s, and yes I have had my daily dose of medicine thank you 🙏 he is just the antidote I need! The flower arrangement is still looking good 👍 be in touch soon🤗 love to everyone, including diva lady 🦮
Living 4 miles from here that was my favourite beach with the dogs at Talland. Unfortunately due to failing eyesight your video is the nearest I can get now, so thank you.
Welcome back and happy New year to you ! 133 days till I'm back down at Perranuthnoe , Yes, I'm counting down the days !😁 I'll be looking forward to your videos every Friday as they will help the days go quicker ! Keep up the good work 👍🥟👍🥟🏴
Whilst staying with family friends in Plymouth aged 15 Looe was my first experience of Cornwall . Saw a Tope being landed as big as me ! Went back many years later with my own 15 year olds . Took the glass bottomed boat for a trip around Looe Island for a bit of seal spotting .Absolutely love the place
@@cynthiastogden7000 Yes! That sounds very interesting, but we take so long to make our videos, we would probably be better relying on the boat, just to remove a worry! Sarah :)
Great to see you back after the Christmas/New Year festivities missed your video's so much. Thank you once again for all you do so people can see so much of Cornwall they would never get to see. Keep up the great work xMargaret
As a Looe resident it's probably the walk I've done most often. The nicest way back to Looe, in my opinion, is to take a footpath up off to the left from the road a little way up from Talland Church. This takes you through fields to Tencreek Holiday Park. You then follow minor roads, cross (carefully) the main Looe-Polperro road, continue along the minor road down to Watergate on the W Looe river, and back through lovely Kilminorth Woods to Looe. It's about 7 miles or so.
I really enjoyed this video, as usual 🙂 And I appreciate all the interesting details. It was quite spooky with the camera getting turned off... And I know very well the feeling when you believe you are close to the goal, and suddenly there emerges a new valley to negotiate before you are there. Aaaarrrrgh! 😞 It looks like you too have had some amount of rain in January. I am currently visiting friends far up North in Norway, close to Russia. And here we have snow and temperatures well below zero, and the sun is up above the horizon less than 3 hours daily at the moment. The colours are lovely with pink clouds and some blue skies :-) It will take some months to get the same green and lush look as it is in Looe now 🙂
Great to have you back, hope you had a merry christmas. Nice views of Looe and Talland just a pity you couldn't complete it. I was going to suggest no pasties for a week for Andrew for toppling your stones, then you magically produced a single walnut whip, so I have forgiven him, all the best for the new year x Kevin
Hi Sarah and Andrew, Thank you for the beautiful shots of the coastline, with the afternoon/evening sun going down. Beautiful and peaceful. Also inside pictures of the church. Thank you. 🙏❤️
Oh, hello again! Missed you! Lovely way to start the year off in Looe. Light is so clear at this time of the year but mud...oh my...tell me about it. Caked in it when we go walking down here! Looe used to have a tiny little cinema just off the high street. I wanted to see what it was like inside but the only film showing that week was Alien 3 so I had to endure sitting through it just to get to see inside the building! That was a LONG time ago! They used to have a resident seal in the harbour there too but I think he's long gone too now. Love Looe Island. Read the book about the sisters who lived there & went out on a glass bottom boat round the island. Nice memories. See you next week hopefully if the weather holds out for you!! x J x
Lovely to see you back on our screens, mind you the mud was a testament to the amount of rain we have had over the last few weeks. Whenever I think of Talland Bay I remember the climb up the hill out of the Bay towards Polperro - I thought that you did well. The Beauty of Cornwall at this time of the year is breathtaking - loved the video & thank you.
Glad to see you back! I've been missing the Cornish Walks. My eye kept returning to the large white house with the two dormer roof dead ahead on the hill above Talland Bay. The perfect place for an artist or writer to live, far from the bustle. And who knows what they have in their cellar! I wonder if there is a secret passage or cache for brandy. As always, love the churchyards, and bits of history. Never pass up a historic plaque! :)
We have friends in Looe. We go there a lot but don’t really walk, we get taxis to the Talland Bay Hotel. Thanks for sharing. I’m surprised you don’t wear wellies this time of year, but I guess if you are walking a long way you need proper walking boots.
CWT bringing us more of stunningly beautiful Cornwall....now I feel 2022 has really properly begun! Looe is just beautiful, and Talland so atmospheric ~ that was a little strange about the camera battery drain in the church! You have such an eye for spotting sea-glass Sarah! (I'm yet to find my first blue piece) :)
Must admit that I couldn't see any sea glass to start with, the beautiful colours of the pebbles were so distracting, absolutely love Talland Beach! Sarah :)
So happy to see both of you. Looe is a beautiful city. The muddy path was messing, but at least it was not through a cow pasture. Love the beaches. And Boy got in a little dig.Again, so happy you are back. 🐕👟🌊
Love the custard cream bushes(gorse) the flowers smell exactly like them lol. That was a very old church, should do a night time wander 👻 Looe ok but not my favourite for some reason as always seems dull even in summer... PS...welcome back! Been missed 😀
The gorse bush is a bit strange! (Ginster in german) In my video 27 (CWT-style;-) you can see it in bloom the end of may. Maybe it's a cornish variety blooming so early?
I missed you while you were gone so happy that you’re back on the Internet and loved the walk that you have done can’t wait for next Friday for the next one best wishes Wendy
Happy New Year to you both, I was really looking forward to the first video of the new year. The weather is great but the paths are mixed Thanks for the great video. Best regards, Gunter
So great to see you back. Thank you for this very much missed video. A very muddy and stunning day. Who cleans your shoes?:)) I'm looking forward to next friday. Gabi xx
Nice to see you back , a happy new year to you both. I’m counting the weeks now till the end of April when my husband and I will down in Cornwall for two weeks.
We saw Sarah panting while Andrew was lifted by a drone. What the lookers-on cannot relate to is the steepness of hills because in a video every track seems to be flat. I think, Andrew should have enough breath to place the camera sideways, haven't you, Andrew? ;-)
Today is my 20th birthday and I would just like to say thank you Sarah and Andrew for posting today, This was a great video. Happy New Year to you both. 🦔👍
Absolutely love your channel, watching your videos not only shows me the beauty that is Cornwall but makes me forget the craziness in the world!
Thank you! Sarah :)
this gives "i'm going to the looe" a whole new meaning

Presume you know they have two trips per year at certain low tides where you can walk across to the island .not sure of the dates.
