This job was fun to watch. Love that grapple!
Glad you enjoyed! I love my grapple!
Jake we seems to have some of the same equipment. I’ve hade my Wicked grapple for about 4 years and it does everything the manufacturer says it wood. You made short work of those bushes. Nice Job!!!!
I’ve noticed that Tony, I read in your bio you have the wicked grapple! I love mine and all of my guys are always impressed with what it can do out on the job! Wasn’t sure how it would do with the bushes but it made quick work of them.
Wow a comment from Tony!!! Who is next Chris/Shieb/Andrew!!!!! How about a shout out to the CT boys on the new channel……
You have a really nice kit there. There isn't a better attachment for a tractor than a grapple IMHO. You are a pretty competent operator.
Thank you very much, it works well!
Funny that after the second bush he asked if there were buried lines. Obviously he’s someone who’s never hit a buried utility. My next door neighbor severed my natural gas line last month after I told him on 3 separate occasions to watch out for it and our locator located it.
Really nice job. Great to have the right tools.
Thank you Dana! The wicked grapple makes jobs like this a breeze!
Very nice setup. I really like the truck. Being able to drop the bed/container looks very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! The hook lift truck has been a great addition to my equipment
Hey man just came across your channel! New sub here! I have the 2501 and I’m now going to get the wicked grapple as well! Question about the truck! That looks perfect for my landscaping business!! Is it a non cdl truck? If so what is it, and where can I get the a hook lift system like that?
Looking good Jake. I could use a few of those bushes as a visual barrier to my woodyard!!
I thought about trying to save some to replant but time is money!!
really good job
Thanks!
those 3 huge bush look like they from the 80s LOL!
lol 😂
You know I thought that dump trailer looked familiar. Once I saw you at Cumberland farms I put it all together 😂 Our yard it literally 5 min from there. If it’s possible I’d love to come see that grapple. Im interested in getting one for my machine
Email me at duderanchdiy1@gmail.com and we can set something up. What company are you?
@@DudeRanchDIY Awesome, thank you! I’ll include that in the email
Hey Jake. I'm really enjoying your vids. Especially the ones of you showing what the grapple can do and how you use it. Very educational. I recently purchased the little BX23S TLB and I immediately ordered the EA 55 grapple. I hope she's got enough umph to work it. :) Either way, I'm super excited to get to using it when it arrives having watched your vids. Liked and subscribed. Keep'em coming! Be careful out there brother. ✌
Thanks for checking out the channel Mike! I’m sure you’ll enjoy the grapple even on the smaller tractor!
What is that contraption on the back of the dump trailer? What do you use it for, and did you make it custom or buy it?
It’s a custom built log lifting arch. It uses the winch on the front of the trailer. I have videos of it on the channel.
Great video!! New subscriber here!!
Welcome to the channel B&K! Thanks for watching!
Great tunes! We're the plants all the same? Seemed the root system was thicker on the second one?
Thanks Mike! Wish I could put on some real music that I actually listen to…they were all boxwoods the second clump just much more mature and all planted in a bunch
Good video , how do you price a job like that, i also do tractor work, but I think I am really not changing enough , just wondering if you change by the hour or just kind of figure how many hours it should take and change a flat amount for the whole job.
For this particular job I priced it by the hour at my typical machine rate plus travel time, fuel, and dump fees because I had never done anything quite like this before. Normally I like to price by the job, where I figure how many hours it’ll take at my normal rate, account for my travel time, diesel, throw in a bit extra for maintenance and any unforeseen breakdowns and then add a bit to that just for cushion. I can always reduce the price, but rarely can you ever raise it without pissing the customer off!
Maybe you can convince the homeowner to take down that weeping willow. Nasty tree.
We’ve talked about it and I have a plan for what I’d like to do with it… I agree not a fan of willows at all…
Where did you get your brush guard, I need to get one for my MX 6000 .
Is it fairly heavy duty ?
It’s been great, and yes heavy duty www.5elevendesignz.com
I changed 100 dollars a hour flat rate I think I might be a little to low now days, no travel time or fuel or extra for maintenance do you think that is to low, your opinion, thanks
It’s very dependent on your area, my rate is about 1.5x that for just me and my machine. You must factor in travel, fuel, maintenance.
Be careful working your grapple like that! I was clamping down with my wicked grapple and pulling and broke both cylinders on it.
If it’s a newer grapple they did have some issues with a cylinder supplier. Mine is about 3 years old and have had 0 issues
Good video man! i was wondering were did you get the grill guard?
5ElevenDesignz! There’s a link in the description! Tell them Jake from Dude Ranch DIY sent you!
What do you got for insurance and what does it cost you?
I have full “tree work” insurance. General liability, personal injury, no limits to heights etc. after getting multiple quotes it’s more affordable than you would think. I used simply business and am insured though American Builders Insurance Company
this dude is really rough on the loader controls
