My RST 275/60-20s are 33s and is stock height. I’m running Falken all terrains and there’s no run. Also I thought a 2in front would level it so I’m confused about a 2.5 front and 2 in rear. Lastly the trail boss has a different CV axle design because its design to go from its 2in lift over std heights to 2in plus. Reason this is important is that if you lift more than /in on a stock base height Silverado the are CVs will not last long if you are using your truck off-road heavily.
Anything for a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado custom trail boss with the 6.2
Could I put 305/70R18 tires on it with 0mm offset on the wheels and do this lift?
So for that plastic wire bracket on top it just requires been pryed up? Nothing to unscrew?
How long of bolts in the bottom
Where do I find all the factory torque specs?
I have this kit on my truck, note that your rear shocks will be too short, and will limit downward travel causing the rear tires to loose contact with the ground on big bumps. You can add a shock extension if your shocks are new, or I ordered bilstein 5100s for a trailboss, and they fit perfectly.
Also, in front I found it easier to loosen the sway bar link out of the control arm rather than out of the sway bar, and you should take the drive axle nut off the allow the stud to slide in the hole 😉. That will keep pressure off of the drive axle and keep from ripping a boot.
Thank you for getting back to me. Just ordered this kit and plan to do Bilteins and new upper control arms.
@Inkd_dad I have stock upper control arms and the angle is perfect. This kit sets you half an inch taller than a stock trail boss in front. Trailboss uses the same stock control arms, so you shouldn't need control arms to correct the ball joint angle. If you're going to add bilsteins in front, then get the ones that are longer and provide lift, then you won't need to add this kit in front. I did bilsteins in back because I had shock adapters and didn't like the ride, and also they kept coming loose and making noise, so I put on 5100s for a trail boss, and they work perfectly and improved the ride. I still have the stock struts and springs in front with this kit on them.
@@Dumbass_mechanic thank you again. This is the information I was looking for. I will probably do just as you recommend.
Do they fit on 2019 chevrolet trail boss custom 1500 4x4??
Anybody know the wheel/tire size in the after shots? I want this look!
Does it manufacture recommend an alignment afterwards?
I aligned mine. It's what I do for a living. We didn't need to move caster or camber, but we did need to toe out a bit.
Does the kit come with install instruction and torque specs for each bolt removed?
I just installed this kit in my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation X31 Double Cab. And after the installation the front wheels lost their alignment and I feel vibrations when accelerating from 0 to 30 mph, and when braking and slowing down to full stop. The installer said that it's because the suspension needs to settle down, I have to come back after 100miles and they will tighten up the bolts, they said vobration should go away, not sure this is the case. I'm concerned the drive shaft or ball joints are is at an agle that causes vibration wearing out the U joints prematurely. Also the ride is stiffer, rear shoks were extended and when going on bumps the suspension travel gets to the flly extended positon and the wheel jumps having an uncomfortable hit at the back of the truck. I called I might remove this kit if the issues continue in the next few weeks. For the missalignment, the installer said he is not responsible for it! America Trucks should cover it. Will seewhat happens, if I don't get all these issues soted out I will remove this kit. Not worth compromising the ride quality.
Would this work with my 5’lift kit I have in my Silverado I have a lifted strut, but I can double stack the rear blocks?
We don't recommend stacking blocks. The lift kit you currently have may also have tolerances to the 5 inches that wouldn't work well with the 2-2.5" addition.
Can you do a video for trail boss models?
If you rewatch it. You can see it up on the screen and her say this is excluded from the AT4 AND Trailboss models. Meaning they cannot be installed on those trims
Trailboss is already 2 inch lifted all the way around via blocks in the rear and longer struts in front.
2.5 inch lift in front and 2 inches in the back equals level INTERESTING ✌️🇨🇦
I think there is still alittle rake with this lift. I read another review where a guy said he needed only 1 inch block in back for level but it might depend on trim package.
@@Fpv___ ya you might have to do more adjustments to get it the way you like it Keep it up until your happy For some reason it’s never is what it claims ✌️🇨🇦
Not quite level, still up a little in the back, but close to level. I use my truck as a truck and like the little bit of height in back. It sits level with the camper hitched up.
Can I put this lift your 2 1/2 inch or 33 inch tires for the thing is my Chevy Silverado what’s a 2023 2.7 L four-cylinder please let me know if that is bad idea please let me know.
I ordered this kit, what size wheels and tires are in this video
You can fit 33x12.5r18 on a stock truck with no lift, on stock wheels. some say they've put 35s on with this kit, it may or may not rub. My 33s look tiny
@32:35 "so with the U bolts all tightened up , and fastened to factory spec" (i e rammed on with a air gun, so it must be tight enough) LOL .. I saw no torque wrench anywhere.
Would this work with me having a food truck and pulling it 4-5 times a week? And not have a bad lean when pulling
@@xstablishedtv it'd work fine then. You may need to get a longer drop hitch to compensate for the extra 2 inches of bumper height and keep your trailer level.
Might not be a bad time to hit all that orange stuff with some Fluid Film while you're under there.
Any need to upgrade the UCAs with this kit?
I'd recommend doing it if you have room in your budget! It'll lead to your truck handling better and correcting geometry angles after the leveling kit is installed. -Zach
I didn't and my truck handles like a dream and the angles are perfect
My silverado came with 33s from the factory…
look at all that GM rust 🙄, I hope GM fixed that problem in the new Silverados. My friend have 2005 Tundra and it's looks better than that silverado
different parts of country produce different amounts of rust. You have no clue where this trucks been.
@@Boobtube. I am in the Caribbean 100 meter next to the sea my cousin mazda have no rust.
Btw i have a Silverado Duramax ml2 love it, Just sent it to the dealer check engine light in a 1 year old 7500Miles truck.
@@ronnyfen2406 ok, so you have no idea what the snow belt areas do to ALL vehicles from the salt put down to clear the roads. Your only comparing your environment instead of the rest of the world. If that mazda was driven in the snow belt, it to would be long gone and in the junk yard or crushed as scrap long ago.
This is not correct, you need to turn the strut 180 degrees for spring to run like designed! This guy is stress the strut lower rubber not recommended…..
You have to turn the strut 180 degrees to even get it in and mount it. So he did that
You don’t have to turn it 180 if your strong enough to turn the bushing
