The Bundi school of painting lasted from the 17th-19th century and is also referred to as Rajasthani painting. Very popular in royal courts, the paintings depicted themes, daily life, gods and goddesses, landscapes and, naturally, the royal family.
It was not easy to edit over 1-1/2 hours of video taken in the Bundi Palace into two short videos that will truthfully not be of mass interest. But the palace was filled with rooms of colorful paintings covering walls and ceilings that were just so exquisite, I had to upload.
Skim through to enjoy at least a few minutes of these masterpieces that are over 200 years old!

I've been there a few times. I particularly like the second half of this video, the Chitrashala is wonderful, isn't it! I love your commentary, it's very natural. Thank you for uploading this for us, it's very generous of you :)

+Celeste Goulding It was stunning and one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Too bad how dilapidated the present Maharajah is letting this site become. I understand the expense to keep it up but what a shame. Thank you for watching. I think you are the generous person to take time to watch and comment. Very best regards, Sheila

Can't wait to see the Chitrasala! I guess the Bada Mahal in Udaipur is a similar place?

It's difficult for me to remember all the wondrous palaces correctly but I think that Bundi may have been the best ever. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Best regards, Sheila

@@SheilaSimkin I went to see the frescoes in Gargh Palace a few weeks ago. This was my favorite place in Rajasthan. I really liked the blue green paintings in the Chitrashala.

Walking around was a sensory overload but I never knew what to look at, or ooh and ah first. What a place! @@ibnbattuta1304
