Joe Pigott 🐷 | Golden Boot Backfiles 🟡🔵

Scorer of all manner of goals, Joe Pigott quite rightly has his name written into the Wimbledon history books.
Signed for what was a paltry fee in today’s transfer world from non-league Maidstone United in January 2018, ‘Pigs’ arrived with a point to prove after Neal Ardley took a well thought out gamble on the striker.
What was to come after that was a goal-laden spell which was bookended by the first two goals scored at our new Plough Lane home, immortalizing Joe’s name.
He would go on to finish as top scorer in the league across the 2018/19 and 2020/21 seasons, solidifying our League One status in the process.
From tap ins, to headers, to long-range screamers, ‘The Pig’ had it all in his locker and is still fondly remembered for his exploits to this day.
