The Tesla Plaid Channel did a video about this about 2 years ago. He used an old shoelace to "cut" though the glue holding the license plate holder. I did it on my Plaid and it worked like a charm.
If your car has the two underneath....I was able to remove the 2 "star" fasteners by using DeWalt's Bolt Extractor 5/16 size. Home Depot sells the set of 5 for $21. Who knows I may use them again!

Did you paint the bracket or did it come that way ? have a MX and I want to paint the license plate bracket (ULTRA RED)
