Good camera works, stunning sagarmatha national park nicely captured, high picture quality. May I know what camera equipment you used? A full frame camera with GoPro? Thank you.
That's a great video. To do Island Peak I am guessing you need to be experienced with ascending before you go. I have only used crampons / ice axe and have not used a rope. Thank you
If you are used to walk with crampons and ice axe, you should be fine adding ropes. First ice part isn't very steep so it'll allow you to get used to it. Final section is a bit steep and can be tricky but it's not very long.
Hi Leo, congratulations for the summit and the amazing video! I'm planning to climb the Island Peak with a local guide the next December. Can I ask you if you brought your climbing gear or rent it there? And how many hours did you spend from Island Base Camp to summit? Thank you
Hi We only brought climbing clothing and climbing shoes from home. We brought stove and food from Kathmandu. At Chukhung, last village before base camp, you can rent everything (Ropes, climbing shoes, crampons, ice axe, harness, jumar, descendeur, carabiner, helmet, etc...), its not cheap though. Tents and matresses were available directly at base camp. It took us 4 :45 hours. We left base camp at 1:30 and we reached the summit at 6:15 right on time for the sunrise.
@@Dratosl That's pretty impressive. Many take reach summit from base camp in 8-9 hours. You would have crossed the crampon ladder glacier part on way up in darkness. Not many do that. Good work.
le meilleur conseil que je peux te donner c'est de pas garder le piolet dans la main pendant que tu tiens le jumar. Pour le reste, quelques sneakers et t'es paré mon gamin.
Thank you for uploading Leo! Stunning video, and some excellent creative touches and the choice in soundtrack is inspired :) What time of year is this and how many days should one plan for this trek?
@@Dratosl thanks for taking time to reply. If you don't mind me asking which Nepal trekking agency did you use? or was it all arranged from your native country?
@@bobabrun We took a guide from a local agency called Trinetra, we were very satisfied. I did the Annapurna circuit with the same agency 3 years ago, it was perfect, I highly recommend.

Je souhaiterais faire l'Everest en Août prochain, as-tu des conseils à me donner pour préparer cette expédition ?

Hello
If you want to do the 3 Passes trek + Island peak summit, you should consider 3 weeks in Nepal.
We were there in November 2017.
