I’ve had a 216d now for 3 months as a all rounder it’s a great car excellent in the city great on fuel enough go under the bonnet for motorway cruising good handling for an mpv, it’s not a traditional bmw but for the first crack at a small mpv bmw have nailed it. Well done BMW
good review, I have this same version 316d active tourer m sport. just a couple of points you got wrong. there are three independent seats at the back not two as you stated, this can be seen in the vid when you let the back down, also there is indeed a rear wiper it is cleverly hidden under the rear spoiler. I agree with comments about the pillars but still a great car though a bit pricey
belive me, this car has a rear wiper (@ 12:00)! Next time I will show it to you (underneath the spoiler) and I will show you the button too. Please don't compare a BMW to french MPVs (even french guys don't do this), you are driving yourself a BMW, should I make a comparison between yours 3 series and a Renault Megane?!
Altough a quite recent review, on the point of interior it's a bit "dated" when you take a closer look at the new peugeot 3008 ! Just check it out - and leave the premeditated comments on the Frenchies at home for a minute
Jan Verbanck In terms of the BWM 1,2, & 3 series interiors its still very modern. Very premium and clean asthetic as you would expect. It has a better horizontal line across dash with good finishes. Pug is more updated as newer. The AT is due for a refresh 2018. Suspect maybe the 8in screen will be touch screen. Also the traditional analogue dials is fine. More technology means potentially more chances of faults with those TFT dash for speedo. Not good if it doesnt work if you start car.
Actually it has a rear wiper, all 2 active tourers have it, and it's the best design, they are positioned very high underneath the upper spoiler

+Attila Farkas yes your right it does, I have since seen one on the road using it 😉
I agree with you regards the front pillars. I have had two near fatal accidents because of these. Really bad design flaw.
Very interesting, and could you tell me where to get the same front bumper? Thanks a lot.
+Jason House it's a factory bumper, part of the MSport package I believe

+Jan Verbanck that's a great point, I love the interior of the 3008 they have done a great job with it.
