I see people saying the ref is an Arsenal fan yet he made call favoring Manchester United as well. Calls which could have change the ties of the game significantly such as:
      1. Lines man denied Gabriel Martinelli offside goal which was deflected off a Harry Maguire and could have stood since no VAR was in the FA Cup and decision is solely in the hands of the ref. If the ref decided its a goal then there is nothing Manchester United can do about it.
      2. Manuel Ugarte escaped any punishment for his initial head-on-head contact with Havertz that saw the German go tumbling to the ground. Arsenal vs Brighton on Jan 4 saw head-on-head contact resulting in a foul. Manuel Ugarte could now face a 3 match ban for the incident.
      3. Manchester United made 25 fouls against Arsenal there highest foul margin since the start of the season yet only one red card and 4 yellow card was issue to United players throughout the whole match. One of their lowest card issue for the amount of fouls they did it a match since the start of the season.

    Hi T,
I think you and most people are underestimating how good Man Utd. have become under Amorin.
I think retrospectively people will come to see that Amorin set out to evaluate and to improve the team with the Liverpool game in mind for revealing his work. With good reason.
I am not saying he has transformed M. Utd, completely. They are still a work in progress, they need new players, and most of all they need to clean out some players with bad attitudes and players ruined by previous managers.
But M. Utd are different, and I think they are going to finish the rest of the season well. Not fantastic, but better, and that the change will ensure Amorim's job for the next few seasons, and gives him the capital to share the team the way he wants, in cooperation with upper management of course.
I am a Liverpool follower, not fan, follower.

From an Arsenal fan the referee was terrible that’s was a foul on Bruno & never ever a penalty (it was a red). But everybody know those English refs are terrible Arsenal fans being saying this for years but have been told to shut their mouth. Can take a lot of the criticism in the video but the idea that Arsenal are the media darlings over the last 3 years is hilarious they have been constantly criticized.

As an Arsenal fan, it serves us right that we lost.
60 minutes a man up, one penalty, several major chances and we still somehow manage to lose... against a team that we beat just a month prior in less favourable conditions. This, plus bringing Partey, of all people, on the pitch, with the accusations that we know off... it's embarassing. Worst of it? I just knew that would happen before the full time whistle was blown.
The Brighton and Newcastle games before that were a disaster, too, and a clear indication that we can't score atm.
It just looks like every player has lost the will to play (save for Martinelli and Jesus, whose season is now likely over) and give it their all. Arteta looks like he's out of ideas (outside of talking nonsense in press conferences, I guess). The only attacking player we recruited this season is Sterling (I feel like we actually did Chelsea a favor here).
I appreciate you speaking up about not harassing players on social media.
About refereeing: I agree with you, Dalot's red is deserved. It's pretty silly, too. I mean, why would you take the risk and commit that hard to a challenge, on a ball that's 40 meters away from goal, and while you're already on a yellow? He knows better than that.
Unpopular opinion: idk about the penalty. Havertz falls easier than what I like to see, sure, but Maguire's arm has no business going to Havertz's chest in such a situation imho. I'm still surprised that an english ref awarded this pen (I feel like most english referees would just say "get up, softie"), and wouldn't have been super upset if he didn't award it.
And then there's the whole situation when Havertz dives again after doing the face grabbing like you said. What was he hoping, to go 11 against 9?
I haven't seen the full game, only highlights (luckily for me, I guess), but I suppose the whole problem with the referee wasn't just about those 2-3 situations, but his overall inconsistency during the game. We've been asking for consistency when we were penalized by bad refereeing (a certain Etihad game comes to mind), it should go both ways. And like I said, it serves us right that we lost.
Y'know, a few months ago I was eager to see us playing City at home, considering how we were playing, and how they were. It's just a few weeks from now on. Now I'm just going into games hoping that we don't get any bigger slap in the face
Final thought: even without all the injuries, our bench can't handle playing four major competitions at the same time, nine (NINE.) games in January.
We're now out of the FA cup and basically out of the league cup. Maybe things will get better now. One can always hope lmao

Can we stop downplaying these blatant ref bias as just 'mistakes' please?
Mistakes happen on both sides. Not against just one team on the pitch. If Havertz remembered that he is a footballer and not a swimmer, United would be knocked out. The ref did try everything he could pull to ensure Arsenal goes through.
This was not a 'mistake'. This has to be a conscious choice.
I'm not saying Arsenal paid them off. I'm sure they didn't. But there definitely was a personal bias from the ref.
It would be nice if we could actually hold these refs accountable instead of just downplaying as incompetence or mistakes

Amorim has been too brutal towards Casemiro & others cos we missed him against Bournemouth, Wolves & Newcastle.
The initial objective is to persue a top 4 place, not playing him from the start when he has been needed could have prevented some of the goals & losses we have endured.
The objective is to keep the players onside so we can get through the season & progress towards next season's champions league, any unsettling is down to Amorim, so he has to be careful!
The Damage has already been done in December but by end of May we want Top 6 & champions league spot!
    Keep it in the family!

Casemiro’s only value at this point is his box threat and passing ability. he doesn’t have the legs to play in a system that focus on running and pressing so much unfortunately, guy needs to move to Saudi and relax, he deserves it. was unplayable in that 22/23 and Ten Hag made it his personal mission to run him into the ground last season

am an arsenal fan and what you said about time wasting is spot on. not just on this game but almost every other game this season, we take too long on throw ins, corners, free kicks etc and it drives me crazy.
honestly i think united's defence was ok, because if arsenal took even half of their decent chances, game would have been 3-1 or 4-1. it was a 50/50 mix between an ok defence vs a wasteful attack.
the moment a striker chooses to blatantly dive instead of taking a clearly perfect opportunity to score tells all you need to know.

I don't need to be honeydicked by stats, xg, system.. process bullsh1t 😂
It was a sending off, I'm not saying it wasn't. Never a penalty! And the diving about from Hazert 🤣. Everytime a United player touched or tackled someone, it was a foul and booking.. Arsenal, nothing!?! And all the diving and nothing happens!?! It was like they was trying to get utd down to 10 men so Arsenal have a better chance 😂 and the white kit thinking they are the Real Madrid of England 😂😂 I don't get fooled and honeydicked by this Hollywood circus.
