- Starting from the silent film era to today's big screen and TV, History Hunters takes a look back at some of the most glamorous and beautiful women who have appeared on the silver screen and on TV since the 1920s. This video includes a look at 141 of them, although this is not an exclusive list.

Great tribute to some Hollywood icons. Hedy Lamar was not only beautiful but also a brilliant inventor. We would not have some of our wonderful electronics without her. So happy that you included Anne Francis and Shirley Jones. Thanks, Jeff!!!
Jeff missed an opportunity there. He should have included a pic of Headly just after her....
I forgot to include the photo of me and Shirley! I got to visit her in her home in 2004 I believe it was. Marty her husband was there too!
@@jbenziggy I've always wanted to meet Shirley Jones. She is such an elegant lady. Thank you for your hard work.
I learned who Hedy Lamar was from Hey Arnold😊
Jeff, Thank you for all the work you did in the making of this video.👍
This was so cool! Would love to see more about Golden Hollywood! That time seemed so interesting 🎉
I think all the women on the silver screen were beautiful. Great video. Thanks Jeff!
I think so too! Thanks for watching!
That must have taken forever to put together. Another great job Jeff. It was well done and tasteful. Aging is Father Time’s partner, it’s robbed so many of so much. Thankfully photos don’t age.
Yes it did take a long time but apparently some folks are questioning why I didn’t get them all. LOL
They were all beautiful then. Time has its way and they had their day. I enjoyed watching them. The old Hollywood stars are the best, before it became Hollyweird. Another good one Jeff
All of these actresses were "the one" for the time they were in. It is important to view them through the lens of the period. They had freedom, as much as a woman of the day could have. Kudos to each and every one.
A great production Jeff showing Hollywood's insatiable glamour machine! 😎 ⭐
Hi. All beautiful women of their time ! Thanks again for all your great vlogs. .... Deborah 🇨🇦
Great job with the photos. Enjoyed watching
Thanks so much!
Great tribute, Jeff, thank you so much for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!!! Which ones were your favorite?
@@jbenziggy Liz Taylor, Anita Ekberg, Clara Bow, Marilyn Monroe, Joan Collins, Bridget Bardot, Raquel Welch.Of course Farrah Fawcett.
Hello Jeff, Thanks for sharing this story on Hollywood's Glamour, Girls. Hope your day was good.
Hi Jeff, That's a marvelous collection of the Hollywood Starlets. Thanks for Sharing. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for including Jinx, often overlooked.
You bet! She was a beautiful woman, and often played Mexican roles because of her looks.
Fun to watch! I recognized quite a few. Thank You!
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
I love the glamour of the earlier days.
This was absolutely well done! You not only had all of my picks but there were many I didn't know. I am going to watch this again and study a little more on these unknown to me lovelies.
thank you for putting this together❤
Another gr8 HH vid and my weekly "fix"! Thnx Jeff!
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks!
Wow Jeff, that's some great work with all the stills. Thank you for this wonderful look at these beauties.
GO LIONS !
Great tribute to these beautiful ladies. Hedy Lamar alone, could be the subject of a video, smart lady.
I appreciate your efforts Jeff at what must have been at least three + weeks in the edit bay putting this together. I studied photographer George Hurrell from the classic era many years ago. Thanks for the memories!
I remember most of the "oldies" as well as the younger ones. That was fun to see. Thank you.☮️💖🎶
Hi Jeff! nice compilation of the beauties of film,,,, you have an autograph picture of Barbara Eden my favorite girl! thanks Jeff.
I don’t know if you’ve ever seen her in the Andy Griffith episode, but she was quite the specimen!
@@jbenziggyYes I remember that episode She captivated Maybury doing manicures at Franks barbershop.
Jeff and Sarah awesome tribute even had my favorite Elizabeth Montgomery. Thank you.
that was great and really easy on the eyes this morning
Great to hear!
Well done Jeff, but I would have liked to have seen Betty Grable and Alice Faye in here. Huge icons of the '30s and '40s, even into the early 1950s.
Betty in "Pin Up Girl" is one of my very favorites of hers and Alice Faye, so many, but she was just gorgeous in "In Old Chicago" as a saloon singer during the time of the
Great Chicago Fire, Oct 8-10, 1871. I have quite a few autographs, and am fortunate enough to have both of these outstanding ladies of the Golden Age.
Theda Bara 🖤
great video!!!
Thank you!! You’re very kind!
All of those ladies were beautiful in their own way some of them were very tall and they were long legs and ann miller she had those long dancer legs. Hollywood gave those stars more of what they already had. Great picture of you Jeff with Terry Moore. Thank you for the awesome Hollywood legends Jeff. ♥️💯
Jeff what a great video to wake up to. All those beautiful women. I wish I lived back in those days. Pure class without having to always be naked
And you all young and skinny
No wonder you smile alot. You have great memories
That was a different History Hunters video! Wow! Thanks for all your work and research Jeff, its amazing to think just how many women made up the list! One, with the current plastic surgery work looked hideous!!
Very good. Can you do something on the William Desmond Taylor murder of 1922?
What a list
Bombshells I knew most of the names of them boy what a great collection
I am so glad that you included Sharon Tate in your video. She deserved to be known for more than her horrific death.
She was beautiful and talented. Too bad drugged out losers killed her.
You missed one from the 80’s Heather Thomas’s famous bikini 👙 poster. I had that one on the ceiling above my bed as a teenager. I’m still surprised that my mom didn’t climb a chair and rip her down lol. My dad’s cousin is Ray Anthony he was a famous trumpet player during the big band era and good friends with Marilyn Monroe. His father was always at our home when I was growing up. I always wondered what really happened to Natalie Wood?
This video is different , But very good ! How long were you working on this video ? Where did you get all the pictures They must have been hard to find. ? THANK you for your work my friend . FRANK FROM MONTANA......
Anita Eckberg is my favorite 😍
Was actually shocked I knew as many names as I did
Wonderful Jeff, one of my favourite actresses was on there Cheryl Ladd. The lady that I think is the most beautiful woman in the world is, Cindy Crawford. Now time for the men, the sexiest man ever award goes to Yul Brynner followed by Liam Neeson.😁 Thank you Jeff. ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺
Great! It's Vivien with an E BTW.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! You left some famous ones out but a great start. Now, if I was a psychoanalyst…😮
Which ones?
Happy New Year Jeff and Sarah.. wishing you all the best in your channel!
2024… great days are here to stay ❤
Where's Heather Thomas??? Otherwise great video. Absolutely loved it. In my opinion Marilyn was the absolute most perfect woman physically EVER. Thanks for doing this. Look forward to your videos always
I think I need a Eckberg was could have given her a run for her money. Heather Thomas was absolutely wonderful as well and possibly I could be doing a second video in the near future depending on how well this video does and I would include her at that point.
Beautiful and no tattoos
Barbara Nichols was amazing in Sweet Smell of Success.
If memory serves me correct, she didn’t live very long either.
Greta Garbo staring like there's no tomorrow....RIP.... Great stuff!
She was not a very nice lady in her older years. I understand that she packed a brick in her purse and would use it whenever you approached her for an autograph. lol.
@@jbenziggy she walked away from the Hollywierd insanity which I respect about her.... She wanted to be left alone which I also respect.... She was definitely a strong woman who took control of her life in a time and field when this was not the norm and stuck to her guns.... I salute her.... RIP
Very interesting…real women without all the plastic enhancements. You could have skipped Jane Fonda.
How many times did you watch all the beautiful young girls in this video yourself? 😉 I myself love the 1920 dresses; I wear them almost every day and I buy them new but in the vintage style in Portland at Wardrobe! 😊❤ Or 1950S style clothes here in a new vintage shop here in the Netherlands! ⏳ I am also wearing a 1920S dress on my profile photo, sorry; no make up.
Watch out Sarah !!! Jeff spent hours with other women. Said it was to make this film. 😂 Good film as always. Did I miss seeing Lauren Bacall or did you skip her? I liked the 100 year old pictures the best. I like the 1920s. "See" you next Sunday.
I don’t think she has anything to worry about. 😜 yes, I did leave out. Lauren Bacall and others are telling me what I also missed. But like I said, it wasn’t an exhaustive list and it would probably take a second video to be more complete. But I hit the major ones. I never thought Barbara Stanwyck was beautiful. That’s why I left her out. Lol.
@@jbenziggy You know how to whistle Jeff. Just put your lips together and blow. Not a direct quote. A famous scene of a famous movie. I like both of them.
👍👍👍
Anne Francis, yikes! I met a few others when I worked in a grocery store in the 1990s. Gave a ride to one back in the early 70s. All super ladies!
You said yikes to Anne Francis. Does that mean you think she’s hot or not?
Anne Francis was A-1
Don’t believe I saw either Arlene Dahl or Rhonda Fleming, both drop dead gorgeous beauties.
You’re absolutely right. As I stated in the beginning of my video, this was not an exhaustive list and maybe it’ll be a second video at a later date with those ladies who included. Thanks for watching.
Second video? Oh right on! Off the top of my head I nominate Ann Sothern, Patricia Morison, Sylvia Sydney, Mary Tyler Moore, Melody Patterson
Victoria Principal
👍🏽👍🏽
What no Mrs Emma Peel in her cat suit. (Diana Rigg)
Well, like I said, in the beginning of my video, this is not an exhaustive list by any means. I’m sure I left out some real cuties. Perhaps round two at a later date?
👌🇺🇸
All White. All Right 👊
Yep
152nd
Have you been to the restaurant/nightclub Harlow`s named after Jean Harlow in Sacramento? They have a portrait of her covered with lipstick kisses from female patrons over the years.
I have not even heard of that place in Sacramento!
@@jbenziggy it started as a small bar then grew to be a restaurant and now night club
@@jack2breeze it sounds like she was only the inspiration for it, never having gone there?
@@jbenziggy mmh, never thought about that but i'm guessing not. Nice place tho
Very few of those women i would consider "Bomb shells", most were very average.
Really? You might be in the minority on that one. Some were not all that beautiful (Maxwell being one), I will grant you that.
They are all white. What about Halle Berry? Lola Falana? Josephine Baker?
As I stated, in my early part of the video, I did not include every woman I possibly could’ve so perhaps I will produce the second video.
Some of these actresses I'm not familiar with..... It was interesting to watch a series like Perry Mason ('57-'66). The personal stories of the actors included WWII heroes and actresses from the late '30's (westerns) portraying people in what was then "contemporary times"!
I have certainly heard, and/or seen videos of some of these ladies. Many of them were very pretty. Styles have changed so much over the years. Thank you, Jeff. This was extremely enjoyable.👏🏻💛👏🏻
Happy to hear that you enjoyed watching this one.
I love the Golden Age of Hollywood era. I know you couldn't get all the beauties in. Thelma Todd came to mind. She went out in a horrible way that we will never know. Have you done one on her Jeff ? I'd enjoy your take on this.
I miss the days of classy sexy ladies like most of these. Sorely lacking in today's Hollywood!
Wow! You did a lot of work here.
What I noticed was that they all have an allure but some didn't have the acting chops to make it.
You're a wealth of information and perspective on history... 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Ann Margaret, not only beautiful, but extremely classy. She exuded character through thick and thin. An incredible lady for sure....
My aunt was Olivia DeHavilland's good friend. When they were teenagers (16), Olivia would come home to Los Feliz from Culver City and tell my aunt what happened that day. Olivia also told her that there were several production problems making the movie. A few quit because it was so exhausting. They both lived to a ripe old age.
That's cool you got to be in a picture with a few of them.😊 I wish we could really find out what happened to Natalie Wood before her drowning.
I think there was a huge fight fueled by alcohol and either she caused her own death or she was knocked into the water. Alcohol causes a lot of badges fights and deaths.
Amazing collection! Thanks for all it took to put it together!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching.
OMG! Jeff! What a fun departure your norm.
It certainly is a little different isn’t it? Lol.
You opened a can of worms for sure. :) I missed Ingrid Bergman and Greer Garson.
This is one of my favorite videos you've ever made. Thank you.❤
Wow, thank you!
Jeff! Joan Crawford... good lord. That's your template for SIREN
Alexis Smith
Virginia Mayo
Sophia Loren
Victoria Principal
I'm grateful to see my all time heartbreaker
Miss Ginger Rogers!!
Must admit I've not seen many of the images in the video
Beautiful ladies!
The face that lingered on my mind long after I've moved on to next video was
Veronica Lake!
God Almighty
Beautiful women. Tough competition. I admired the ladies that chose to be more modest. No Loretta Young? Great selection of music.
Hi Jeff and Sarah thank you for sharing a great video. it is amazing how many of the actresses that you mentioned are still alive to their 80 or 90 years old. We were wondering if you were going to do a video of the handsome guys from old Hollywood.looking forward to seeing the next video love and blessings Larry June and Laurie
My goodness that must have taken quite awhile to put together. I'm 74 forgot half these women.
It was great looking back at these beauties. Thank you for your dedication to history 🙏
Our pleasure!
Wow! Incredible.....love that you have collected so many autographs! I remember my Mom talking about some of the very early bombshells....she even caught some of the silent films.....she often talked about how much Clark Gable loved Carole Lombard.....thanks for another wonderful episode...I check for your new videos every day.
It’s sad to me how many household name actors from the early years of Hollywood that no one knows who they are now.
Really enjoyed this being a fan of old Hollywood .Vivian Lee always had my vote as the most beautiful .
One of your best. A lot of work. Must have been a challenge to choose. Minor criticism. I would not have posted their later years.
I appreciate the compliment. For some reason I suspected that I would hear the negatives on this video.
well done
This took allot of work! Nicely done!
Yes! Thank you!
Hollywood ⭐️ Old Love my favorite one fan Big 💖
Truly beautiful women. No Botox, fillers, plastic surgery or photoshoping.
Enjoyed this change of pace. Reminded me of my mom. Lots of her favorites were shown. She was born in 1926 so these faces she would remember. Always loved watching old movies with mom. For me my favorite has always been Liz Taylor. Thanks.
give me HEDY LAMAAR,JOAN BENNET,VIVIEN LEIGH,GENE TIERNEY and LINDA DARNELL,with a nod to DOROTHY MACKAIL, any day.todays women stars dont have the classic beauty of the glamour girls of yesteryear(only if they had plastic surgery)
Yowsa Yowsa Yousa.....man they don't build them like that anymore.
Happy New Year Jeff & Sarah. A great collection of Hollywood lady stars from years gone by, thank you for sharing.
Happy new year! Thanks very much again, Wayne! May your year be full of love, excitement and blessings!
Excellent photography! AMAZIING, whom we cross paths w/ & meet on our journey.....
Thank You I had the pleasure to meet at Jane Russell. She was a very sweet lady.
I missed Jane Russell by a couple of hours because she was at a film festival in Jamestown. I arrived later in the day and she had already left. So I was very bummed.
@@jbenziggy yeah she lived up in San Ynez I can’t remember her name, though she was going by her married name and her husband was very nice too
Wow this was unexpected also makes me feel old as watched most of them when i was young. What an amazing video you have given us this time and you are so lucky to have met some of them. Very jealous much Great video Jeff and big thumbs up for taking the time to put it together to share with us THANKYOU
All of them so beautifully but a lot of them died young and were heavy smokers and drinkers. The companion amongst them was bad. But good video.
You covered or shall I say "uncovered" them all. Did I miss Brooke Shields. Darn I will have to watch again.
Natalie Wood, Jill St. John and Stephanie Powers all took dance lessons together at "Hollywood' Ballet" when they were young.
husband speaking age 81, yep added another year, I remember most all of the ladies, some had to be from
Europe as they were not as familiar. Never saw Elizabeth Montgomery show so much before, that had to be quite
the gossip at the time. Some ladies did not age well, others were beautiful into old age. If you have all the actual glossies
then you have a fantastic collection. It is almost 6 am in Cebu and will be dog walking time soon. Getting warm here, but
not bad weather as long as I stay out of the sun for too long. Very nice show today, which is Monday for us.
Missed Joan Crawford and Loretta Young. They had faces then!
That was pretty dang awesome Jeff! Thanks, oh, the one you left out was , Dawn Wells! /jk
Need much more 30s and 40s hair for woman now, why not, mixed with modern Looks etc, would be cool.
