This so nice to watch and I can agree with you, how I wish our parents can really teach us certain things that one need to know, and i always emphasize that young people must always make time to attend different events be it weddings nenge oosa and other events so we know what the elders are doing there, our elders one day will leave and it will be up to us to teach the young one, beautiful content
My point exactly! We won’t know if we also don’t make an effort to inform ourselves shili. It’s up to us cause when our elders are gone what do we do then?. Thank you watching Simon. Glad you enjoyed it🙂✨🙏🏾
I agree with you on people to be taught when growing up. I would love to ask the elder to explain than I post the video on my channel since I am also a UA-camr.
@@allthingsndatala I found it so cool how ambitious it was to get in. While you’re here stressing about the cultural stuff, it’s just behind you plotting it’s move. 😂😂😂 On a serious note, is that practice suppose to happen specifically in the north and not where your husband bought you a house/kitchen? Isn’t it for the elders to now come see where your kitchen is? I’m asking coz I also don’t know and would be interesting to hear from you and others.
@@maxlodewyk_na I believe it happens only in the north considering that most weddings take place in the north. When you get married, you move to your new homestead (your husband’s parents home) and as a new wife, your husband has to build a kitchen for you in his parents house. It is only after this has happened that my side of the family, particularly the elders (who in most cases are not allowed to visit until a Traditional kitchen is built) have to come and see where my new home is. This is where the elders formally introduce themselves and get to know each other.
