@matt graham I've never met a climber who wasn't willing to share beta or help me or someone else through a climb/project and i think that is a wonderfull aspect of this sport/hobby
Chris Sharma will always be my favorite climber because of his humility and very positive, calming attitude. Seems like some climbers today are more obsessed with being considered the best that they lose sight of why we climb in the first place (find inner peace, become one with nature, etc...). Great to see such a calming video put together. Hopefully this video will make the rounds and we can get back to enjoying climbing for what it is and not only see it as a means of achieving notoriety and fame. Awesome job guys✌🏽
You assert that in the first place "we" climb to find inner peace and become one with nature. That may be why you climb, but to dictate to others what the right reasons for climbing are and to implicitly devalue other attitudes and lifestyles seems disrespectful and intolerant to me. Every climber has their own reason to climb, and to me every reason and approach is equally valid.
It's weird how critical your comment is while extolling the virtues of inner peace, all the while ranking humans as better than others based on how you perceive the virtues. Let folks pursue their own passions for their own reasons free of our judgments.
Yeah this is a great video. A really cool aspect capturing Chris working this out with Yuji, then the full uncut view of the final send. Awesome vid man
excellent video my friend! really nice raw footage of GOAT's climbing. creative feedback from me is that i felt the music was a bit to high. but supersweet video. much love from sweden.
Caught my breath when Chris dry fired off the hold at the 1220 mark. Nice to see him with his normally dynamic climbing style climbing something more insecure than limestone.
the dust masks lmao as someone who wears diff types of respirators all the time for work, all those paper masks are doing is retaining some warmth from the breath, and maybe creating a secondary salival environment, there is breath coming in through the sides. just wear a gaitor. this video was great btw

Wut? Every person that has ever projected at their limit has grabbed draws. It's fine. Because one or two people have hurt themselves now no-one should grab draws?
I can't disagree more with you. Have you forgot the famous Sharma scream ? The man literally specialized himself in climbing powerfull limestone routes and you're calling him clean and calm... Ondra is the one putting dropknee everywhere and climbing with technique and efficience while Sharma campus every other moves.
Great video. Very generous of Yuji to provide beta on his project for a world class climber. I hope other climbers can be so humble.
He is a very good person, I am happy to follow him to photograph and film for several months.

Wow, exactly the comment that I was waiting for. Now, I'm editing another video of the same style with Yuji Hirayama, just waiting a day or two.
Very well said

I really liked this video. It's cool to see Sharma crushing. He's definitely the GOAT in my eyes.
I'm glad you enjoyed watching.
That was a great video. Thanks for showing so much of Chris working on the crux!
You are welcome.
Awesome Video. Editing is really great. I love that so much of the working process is included and that there are only a few cuts. Thank you :)

Great film. I love seeing the problem solving process included and it's always great seeing Chris climb.
it's always interesting to see problems solve.
Two absolute legends climbing together! Thanks for a wonderful video!
You are welcome, I was very lucky to be able to capture these moments.
"thats a bad hold eh?" Chris' good holds are my crux holds lol so his bad holds wouldn't even register in my mind if saw them as an option lol
Yes it was, he found the right movement very quickly.
For me he is the best climber in the world! He is a legend for me! 💪
The King. Forever.
Exactly
Beautiful video, amazed as always with chris's humbleness and technique aligned so nicely with the japanese philosophy.
I'm glad you liked it, it's always nice to have positive feedback.
Great video! I was so absorbed in it that the 15 minutes flew by. Great angles and framing to see the holds and a nice medium/wide for the uncut send
