Kissin is the GREATEST living pianist! Light years ahead of the rest! Thank you Mr. Nupen for your documentaries and series featuring the miraculous phenomenon that is Evgeny Kissin!
31:25 - 31:55 the iron 60ton tower bells made a true resemblance in power and resonance with just two hands and a (less than a ton) grand piano. Now this is how it's done! Молодец! Complete and utter genious. Simply nailed it and owned it in any way possible. Mindblowing. Hell, words are so helpless here...
What a way to start the day - his glorious playing fills the whole house as we do the housework work. What a gift from the Almighty to the whole world. Bravo Evgeny Bravo !!!
Yes... at one of those "shhhhhsh" moments, a jabber-mouth was still making a comment as he was getting ready to strike his first note of the next encore piece, and he irritatedly glanced toward the audience. Made me embarrassed at their lack of class.

After listening to all of Rachmaninoff, all of Brahms all of Chopin loads of Debussy and all else, The Lark by Glinka is still my favourite piece. I can’t quite place it, even above my favourite Rachmaninov works it has something most dear, some form of exquisite beauty mixed with deep sorrow, and thag ending 😮❤

Saw him live last month, he’s just as amazing if not better 22 years later!
Did he play any pieces from this concert?
@@GTXTi-db5xu nope, he doesn’t seem to play many virtuoso encores anymore sadly. But he blew everyone away with his flawless Prokofiev 2 rendition.
Those encores are a treasure. Kissin is, without question, one of the top 10 pianist of the 21st century.
Yes, but I'm sure he's the number one at this list!
TOp 3 I would say if not the ONE
Love his encores 😊😊😊 appreciate how he is generous with them and the way he plays with such freedom, very satisfying to the audience.
Evgeny Kissin is an excellent, virtuoso artist.......i wish him health and much more success.
Each individual scene is vivid and beautiful, but the overall balance of the entire picture is also perfect. Kissin is a god. 😭

Brilliant,dear Evgeny💖💖💖You are the best!!!
I love how at 43:15 the audience cheers when he sits back down at the piano...then they go "shhhhhhhhshhhshhhh" so he can play!

I bought this DVD many years ago, it is a real collectors item.
Christopher Nupen. You have done a lot of work with evgeny over the years and I am very grateful for it. Thank you

In the description, you got a name wrong. It's *Nikolai* Rimski-Korsakov, not Alexander.
It’s Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov not Alexander!
Where can I get the dvd
It is 2017 ....forget about the old antique
Humberto!....you can most likely find it on Amazon, Ebay or your local Classical records store : ))
Alexander Rimsky-Korsakov?!Nikolay Andreevich!!!Correct!
