I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.

I like simple. It's so much simpler than not simple. There are plenty of excellent videos by wash guys that have a truck rigged with a half dozen different pumps, a giant water container, mixing valves, and a thousand feet of hoses, but I don't have any of that. I just want to know how much chem to add to the water in the bucket for different situations. Thank you for keeping it simple! 👍

Another easy way is to take the container size then divide by bleach % example
    25 Gallon / 12% = 2.08
Next multiply that by whatever SH strength you want
    2.08 X 1.5 = 3.125
So you would add a little over 3 gallons to a 25 gallon container for 1.5%
    Hope this helps.

You can wet the surface first. But you may want to downstream the area if it’s that big. Keep in mind that you are killing the organics the cleaning is still done by the pressure washer. If you don’t want it to sit that long use a stronger mix.

For anybody wanting to know how to calculate the mix.
    Say 30-gallon tank. 12.5 SH
    Now divide 30/12.5= 2.4
    want batch strength is 4%
    Multiply 2.4 x 4= 9.5
So in that bucket, you will put 9.5 gallons SH and the rest water plus surfactant

    • @Aqueminipressurewashing
      @Aqueminipressurewashing  2 місяці тому

Yes sir I believe you are correct. I did the math for 10 gallons of SH into a 30 gallon tank and came up with 4.6875%. I like the way you calculated that but a lot of people just want to know the simplest way to get a good mixture of SH. Me personally I would get a proportioner to keep my SH strength to last longer if I have a tank that big. I don’t think I could use 30 gallons that fast.

    • @Aqueminipressurewashing

Remember you are making the strength of the SH. You made 12% in to 6% by cutting it in half. So if you buy 2 gallons of 6% SH you need 2 gallons of water to make it 3%. Now when you run that in the machine it’s going to cut the 3% in half with a X-Jet and a 10 to 1 ratio when you downstream. I think if you add 1 gallon of water to 2 gallons of 6% SH that will put you at 4.5%.

That doesn’t sound right. I don’t have a 8GPM machine but I believe that your X-Jet will pull the same as a 4GPM Machine because of the tip. Question for you is your X-Jet rated for a 8GPM machine? regardless which one that you have it’s gonna cut it in half if you run it open without any adapters. I could be wrong, but I have never seen a 15% SH. I feel that if you have a 3% mix with your 8 GPM machine it will still you a 1.5% mix coming out of the tip. Just having a 8 GPM machine is only just gonna use your chemical faster not change the strength. I will confirm this with some people and I may make a video about it.

You are overthinking it. A 3% mix is a sweet spot. You can use it on a house or concrete. A roof uses a 6% but you need a 12 volt pump. If you watch other videos on washing it will give you a better understanding how to wash. Don’t just mix something up and think it going to work. You may have to change the mix strength to make it work. So be careful.

What I'm having trouble finding anywhere, and was not in any of the comments, is how many times do you have to remake that 5 gallon batch, to do a house? I really can't say. Maybe 5 gallons every 1000 sqft. The best way is to charge by the sqft. Let's say $.10 to $.20 a sqft. some people charge as much as $.30 a sqft. So spending $10 on SH is not that bad. You make your money on how fast you can get the job done.

You are going to get a 2.5% using 10%. Plus you will have to use 1 gallon of SH and 3 gallons of water. To help you get a 3% mix get the free version of quote IQ. I’m not sure what percentage you should use with a 8 GPM machine and your X-Jet. But it does have to be 3% it just works for me. You can use the 2.5% when washing. Again, only straight (SH) in the 5 gallon. No water dilution.
Also, the Quote IQ "free" only does batch and downstream calculations. It doesn't work with the x-jet ratio. Which would have been a cool feature on this app.
