Great eagle eyes😁👍 That is Tim Robbins way before he became famous😁👍 Also "Berta" from "Two and half men" guest starred on one episode of "Good Times"😁 She was a security guard who would spy on people when they went into the changing room to make sure they weren't stealing.
Yup. After just watching this for the first time briefly in 40 years(I was 10 years in Spring of '83)it seems to be a hybrid of both "Bilko" and a little bit one of the most popular shows on American TV back then the "A-Team."
Bilko was funny, witty and ingenious. I still watch it. This isn't worthy of comparison with that classic. I'm ten minutes in, and can't take any more such suffering.
I would love to see more episodes of this underrated show. Good Richard Jaeckel performance, Roger Bowen was dry as a desert, and the unforgettable theme song warranted this show getting a better shake. Maybe an hour was too long. But it might have killed as a half-hour comedy. A brave try by Aaron Spelling
He was also one of the writers of the Animal House spin-off Delta House (Also on ABC in 1979), so he struck out twice on TV, but the same year this came and went was when he co-wrote National Lampoon's Vacation
Never saw this show when it first aired and man what garbage, jimmie walker was pigeonholed by Good Times so all people saw was JJ in the army , that and he cant act.
The writers were terrible. But with better writing that cast could have made something good. Richard Jaeckel performance was good. Roger Bowen was dry as a desert
I had never heard of this show until today 12/10/2023.
Me neither until now 05/30/2024
This is my first time seeing this show,or hearing about it.this is 06-20-2024!
A TV show goes only so far as its theme song. If the theme song doesn't reel you in, the show is done, no matter how good or bad the show is.
That's a GREAT theme from Jack Elliott
I'm stunned by the super impressive score by Jack Elliott, who with Allyn Ferguson, scored BARNEY MILLER in the 1970s.
At the 13:10 mark is a pre famed Tim Robbins

I remember changing the channel back then. Now 03/04.2024, I find out what it was.
So is this supposed to be an 80s version of Sgt. Bilko?

@@petemarshall8094 😆 Agreed. Just trying to explain what this short lived show compares to.
I'd say a very bad mixture of Sgt. Bilko and STRIPES.

Guess I should upload the rest of the episodes then......give me a bit. I've got them here somewhere.....
Do you have episode three of this show?
Funny Show. Should have been Productive then it was.
Don't remember this one (thank goodness).
Where can I find this on DVD?
A John Hughes credit he probably regretted.
He was also one of the writers of the Animal House spin-off Delta House (Also on ABC in 1979), so he struck out twice on TV, but the same year this came and went was when he co-wrote National Lampoon's Vacation
No reason for regret. It was not successful. So what. Other shows were successful.
Its not about successful/not successful. The comment was about quality. This was crap.@@Michelle-pn9xt
