Been waiting years for the company to develop a SLG game like this.(Been playing game like this when I was a teenager...) Yes, I will get it in Switch. 😊 Yes F35s fighter jets included. 😊
Thanks for posting, it's good to see someone playing this. More likely that we'll see it on PlayStation and Wii before it drops on Steam. If ever after DSP 4.0 got a rude reception. I do like the clean and simple look of SSB. But maybe it's a bit too simple, seems to be a big lack of unit variety for one thing. Perhaps the idea is release more as DLC. I saw a reviewer on Amazon Japan mention that the planes don't even have weapons packs, can that be right ?
It also good to see another one like this turn base modern strategy game. There's update of addition of maps and hopefully they will add in more new units. Yes the weapon units are too little compare to Gendai Daisenryaku. You can't select weapon pack in this game maybe its only for Gendai Daisenryaku? But still I'm glad they remake the 3d models instead using the same old models from previous game.
@@sonyv1 Weapons packs (primarily for aircraft) have been a standard feature of Daisenraku games since the 1980s. So yeah, after gaining air superiority you probably want your fighters to re-arm with bombs. Or equip drop tanks to transit from the home airbase to forward base and re-arm there with a bigger weapons loadout. It seems your intro to the series is Gendai DS ? Do you read Japanese ? The Gendai games feature a lot menu navigation to manage your force, most of the Daisenryaku series is simpler to play as the basic system is the same. No corny JRPG chit-chat, cut straight to the action !
Thanks for posting, interesting to see the game outside of the marketing. Not a fan of the animations but can't say I liked Perfect 4.0's either. Disappointing to see though that they're releasing new units as paid DLC given how small the initial roster was
Sorry, forgot to ask you: is the download just plug & play in Windows 10 ? Or did you have to fiddle with setting up Japanese fonts and whatnot to get the game running ?
Follow this guide, you need to create an account and download. www.ss-beta.co.jp/shop/products/dsrssb.html#lb-start-guide PC requirement : www.ss-beta.co.jp/shop/products/dsrssb.html My OS support Japanese. But I suggest you know a little japanese words or use the google translate to understand how to download the game launcher.
@@sonyv1 Thanks for the info ! Think I'm going to hold off for a while, see if SSB will come out for PlayStation, hopefully a PS4 version (don't own a PS5). And I'm busy with editing the old games Daisenryaku II and DS II Campaign Version. Working on a comprehensive WW2 mod of DS II at the moment.
Hi there, I am from Taiwan. I am highly interested in the game, so I have one question about it. Can I still play the game if I do not speak and read Japanese? I can read hanzi, because some Japanese words look like Chinese words. Thanks.

Can I play the game in Taiwan , if I bought the computer CD from japan?
HI, sorry for late reply. Yes you can. The CD only contain the cd-key. There a link to download the game with the qr code in the CD case manual.
But I still think 現代大戦略2020 is better!

以前玩過日文版本的 對於看不懂日文的玩家來說困難度還是很高的 尤其是這種需要大量資訊的戰略遊戲
看來是最新的大戰略。
@@rayhu2620 對,預計12月在steam、PC平台發售,也有CD
