Idk why, but I always kind of forget about this game. Like I remember there being so much hype towards this game because of the Saints offense vs the Seahawks defense matchup, but oddly enough the Saints offense held Seattle to just 20 points (really only 13 given the Seahawks scored a defensive TD early). I just don’t think many people expected the outcome of the Saints winning and as a Saints fan, I didn’t expect to win this game at all. I feel like this was also the start of the Seahawks decline post-SB.
The Saints had trouble beating Seattle in recent history ever since 2010 playoffs. Also all games were in Seattle from 2010 playoffs til this game and as fans we always said wait until we get you at home. Seattle also beat us in twice in 2013 so we owed them this game.

Ballinbmac yeahh idk why I remember that so vividly. The thing is I only watched the second half and both halves were completely different, like two separate games. I remember it was the first London game I saw and on the west coast it starts really early in the morning, so that’s why I watched one half.

gor9027 yeah this is the only time since russel Wilson joined Seattle we beat em. But we also only played them 3 times since then so it’s not that big of a deciding factor. We met in the 2013 reg season whenever Seattle was the #1 team in the nfc saints were the #2 team in the nfc and Seattle blew us out. We met again in the 2013 nfc divisional round (year SEA win the sb) sea #1 seed saints #6 seed we lost the game 23-15. We met again here in 2016 and we came out with the close win. Obviously without Brees it makes it 50times harder, but we still have a chance to win. It’s not very likely but still
How did the Seahawks o-line play so badly against the Saints garbage defense? Like seriously, how do you let this Saints defense hold your offense to only 13 points because the Saints defense was horrible that year? Now Drew Brees picking apart the Legion of Boom defense I can buy
