- The National Hurricane Center is highlighting four tropical waves for potential development over the next five days.
Disturbance 1: Central Tropical Atlantic
A broad area of low pressure is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are expected to be generally conducive for gradual development, and a tropical depression is likely to form later this week while it moves west-northwestward at 10 mph toward the waters east of the Leeward Islands.
Development chances are 30% over the next two days and 70% percent over the next five days.
Disturbance 2: Western Caribbean
A trough of low pressure could develop during the early-to-middle part of next week near the Yucatan Peninsula. Environmental conditions could support slow development as it moves west-northwest.
Development chances are 20% over the next five days.
Disturbance 3: East of Bermuda
An area of low pressure east of Bermuda is producing disorganized showers.
Some slow development of this system is possible during the next couple of days while the low drifts over the central Atlantic. Environmental conditions will then become less favorable for development.
Development chances for this system are 10% over the next two days and 20% over the next five.

Disturbance 4: Over Africa
A tropical wave is expected to move off of Africa over the next couple of days. Gradual development will be possible while it moves westward over the eastern tropical Atlantic.
Development chances are at 20% over the next five days.
Danielle and Earl are the next two names on the list for the 2022 hurricane season.
With only a few days left in August, there is a chance one of the more active months in hurricane season ends with no tropical systems. The last time there was not a tropical depression, storm or hurricane in the Atlantic during the month of August was 1997.

1936 was was a lot like this year. 1936 was one of the driest and wettest years. 1936 was one of the warmest and coldest years too. Many La Nina years lead up to 1936 too. La Nina is natural climate change cooling the planet.
Thank you so.much Sir for up-dates! Miami.

Unbelievably quiet !🤔
Where is that storm in the Gulf going to go? Texas or Louisiana?
As of right now there is no storm in the Gulf. If that one in the Caribbean develops there is a higher probability it continues west into Mexico. - Jonathan
Thank you from Houston.

What. In the. Hell. Is he. Talking. About. ? He s all over the place
Cause there’s a lot going on! - Jonathan

Why did you waste the people's time talking about the history of the "northern one".
Because it’s on the map! Just wanted to quickly mention it. Said it wasn’t a threat a moved on. - Jonathan
2004 again!!!
Gosh I hope not! - Jonathan
We don't need another Katrina (today is its anniversary) but the East Coast particularly New England could use some rain.
Ok
Autumn solstice;)
Equinox, Solstices happen in June or December, Equinoxes happen in March or September.
Doctors now say a little hurricane is good for you.
Develops character.
There are others out there that are scaring people. People pretending to be weathermen. Good Job Jon.
Really appreciate that! I really hate that that is happening to people. - Jonathan
Cleared alot of that dust!!!
It got rid of a lot of it. That’s for sure! - Jonathan
Thank you for keeping an eye on the Tropical weather. No other channel cares about people living at the East Coast....
Absolutely! Thanks for trusting us! - Jonathan
Thank you
You’re welcome! Thanks for tuning in! - Jonathan
A Big THANK YOU for this update. I've learned so much from this video, NOT to be frightened it's something to watch respect our hurricanes. I'm in North port florida close to Port Charlotte, sarasota. GFS has been acting crazy/computer models, EURO seems to be more realistic and going by that ...when GFS & Euro agree then within 5 days then we will see where those potential TS TD Hurricanes go to. Yes we hope that one model goes out to sea other one in carribean probably end up in mexico. The other 2 off africa hum will have to see right? pls keep us updated. I do not watch the other videos of non meterologists claiming we are going to have a massive huge storms they are going after $$ greedy ppl.
You are welcome! Those videos have been insane lately! The GFS has been crazy this year and it’s super inappropriate to base anything on just GFS…especially give The craziness like you mentioned. - Jonathan
@@News6WKMG you are correct. Thank you for update & yes think EURO is way to watch for now. Hope those hurricanes TS TD stay out to sea ...those not welcomed on land.
@@kathleencraig3804 Couldn’t agree more!
Yea my local news channel shows euro models first even they tell you that's the more reliable source I feel like that one over Caribbean may very well end up in the gulf aiming right for us...southern gulf coast hate to be paranoid but never like giving out my location with my real name on here anywho let us pray that's not the case!
I just left port Charlotte on my way to Az
I went through hurricane Maria an it sure changed my life.
I do love this that I many with weather reporting that are doing their homework what is happening what is going on Mother Nature data it could bring something brand new including that a one hurricane not to not three but four hurricanes for the 2022 and I told you so already everyone this is going to be a brand new season just like a tornado came in like a October in November and not to mention that head to April and May dumb ways in 2021 and not to mention of a 2019 the South and the US got frozen like people they never prepare for this but the consequences is always happening everyone but I wanted to say this that sometimes that I my theories is coming and sometimes that the future is already here
Hopefully this storm that has a high chance of development won’t intensify into a major hurricane. I will say this that I can’t believe we had basically a quiet month in August in the Atlantic Ocean with no named tropical storms yet since August does usually become an active month in the Atlantic.
It’s remarkable! I’m hoping that as well. -Jonathan
Great information! I will be in Bermuda 8/31-9/5, wondering if I should pack and plan for rain? ☔
Simply put...YES!
Always a good idea! I do think though that of Bermuda is impacted it will be after your trip or closer to the end of it. - Jonathan
@@News6WKMG we are supposed to be in Bermuda on the 5th to the 7th on Royal Caribbean. Do you think it may end up diverted somewhere else? Because we are supposed to go to the Bahama's too. :(
I'm in Puerto Rico and your reporting on the tropical hurricanes has been the most extensive and informational. Thank you and I'll keep watching this channel.
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching and trusting us. - Jonathan
I'm from TRINIDAD 🇹🇹 so I will be watching today we had a lot of rain 🌧 and flood too ,so I would be watching close so I would know where we stand
Hope everything is ok. That bigger disturbance should stay north of you. - Jonathan
I'm in Puerto Rico listening this channel and I love it. I'm a subscriber!!!
