  • “It didn’t play an important part, it made my life what it was…”
As we continue our celebrations ahead of the 50th Derby Sale, Jenny Pitman and Robert Hall reminisce further on her success at the sale. “Life is about learning.” Wise words from Jenny who after winning the 1991 Cheltenham Gold Cup with Derby Sale graduate Garrison Savannah, felt she earned new found respect from her training colleagues. She has fond memories of the Irish hospitality afforded to her at the Derby Sale, and tells us about her love for the Tattersalls Ireland French Onion soup!

Yes, she has made her mark, fancy picking three horses that did so well in one season

The best thing about buying the younger horses is that you have a year to shape them up befor they go racing. I bought one that had been all over Europe, gone down hill , sold for £700, we had her winning within three months, no pressure, no sticks, just teach them how to enjoy racing., give them good food, and dont rush them.
