I've tried windows managers several times and gave up because there was always something missing (polybar conf settings and how to properly set them or dmenu not explained or...) and I needed hours to find those rest couple of details... but this, this is amazing. How you managed to squeeze so many (almost all big/important ones) things into one short video is just magic. Dude you rock and all I can do is say thx (and start to binge watch your entire channel :)
Awesome information my dude, praise the algorithm for bringing me here. I'm running KDE, but I've been trimming the fat for a bit and have been eyeballing tiling managers since they look really nice and lightweight. Some constructive criticism, and its something I suffer from too, Slow down a bit my man =) i set the video to .75 and it was much more digestible and still flowed extremely well. I'd be interested in a tutorial on that auto complete for zsh as well, it'd make life much easier not having to guess at random packages in pacman lol
bspwm is a great start, it's pretty light but also not too time consuming to set up compared to dwm. And yes I'm working on it, it's a little difficult sometimes as to me I sound completely normal so I forget that I need to slow down but I'll keep practicing. Also ZSH video is up!
fish is a waste of time, it's not a posix shell and you'll have to basically learn a lot of things to use it efficiently and many of those things won't translate to almost any other shell out there, zsh offers everything one might need while being mostly posix compliant, though i do wish it included an easy auto-configuration script that sets you up with what most people are going to get anyway
Great video, but I would explain in detail what mpd actually dose, because such a server is quite complex, and it won't work with any player. And please don't use mpd with sudo.

Use it, and you will understand
No mouse anymore
How do I get that sweet autocomplete preview you have in terminal?
Watch my advanced Shell video :)
simple and easy
how do you get that awesome autocomplete in the terminal?
That's a custom zsh config, I'll make a video about that.
@@EXITZER0 Awesome, will watch that when it comes out. That's one of my biggest annoyances with navigating by terminal
@@torf1746 it's up now :)
Thanks!
How do you feel about zsh vs fish? They both seem pretty capable to me
I feel like fish has good enough defaults, but zsh is way more customizable so zsh all the way .
ZSH all the way, I have a video coming up on ZSH pretty soon.
Much obliged! I really have enjoyed how easy fish has been out of the box but because of that have never felt the need to customize it.
