Rosie. Your bedroom looks beautiful👌😊. One thing I noticed.. You should turn the bedroom door around to hang on the otherside so that when it is open, it opens up to be against the wall, instead of into the room. It will open up the room and make it feel bigger as you come in. Also then the wall will not seem so bare.
I did this with one of my room doors.. It makes a huge difference. It feels a thousand times better.
We did that with our sitting room door and our bathroom door…..what a difference it makes 😊 x

I've watched again and I agree with those who said it, change the door opening direction so it opens towards the wall. For what it's worth, I think you should change the door furniture to chrome and not brass. Chrome is more timeless (we still have brass upstairs in our house and I don't like them - we changed the downstairs to brushed chrome and they look much nicer. You're Superwoman!! Four children, dog, husband, running the home, UA-cam channel and you handpainted the wardrobes and chest ...... you're blooming amazing!! You've got me hooked F & M hampers now - I said to hubby this morning, I'd like a F & M hamper for Christmas (I only want it for the empty basket afterwards LOL).

If you're changing the doors maybe you would want to have the door open towards the wall? I have bedrooms too where doors open into the room, but also have a bedroom where it opens towards the wall. To me it feels like someone has made an error while putting the doors in.

I would say chrome to match throughout the house and if you change your door to hang the other side it will give a sense of more room as well. Love what you’ve done to your furniture it’s inspired me to have a go at mine. X
Absolutely lovely, classically stylish. Your transparency re the mattress is refreshing and honest unlike so many other channels who do not mention gifted items. The work you have put in yourself with all that furniture painting is inspiring. You could try pewter or nickel for the switches which is a sort of mix between chrome and brass. Great video to watch as always.

You are so talented and artistic Rosie. I love the way you matched up your wardrobes and cupboards. That was a brilliant find. Can’t wait to see the base and top for the draws. I think chrome would look lovely for the light switches etc. Personally I like a bedside cabinet to put a lamp on or a drink of water etc but I totally get where you want to keep it spacious. I love the colours too. Great job. 👍👍👍

Hated my Emma bed. Spent an absolute fortune on that and electric bed. Did not realise how hot and uncomfortable it would be !

Had to send my Emma mattress back, gave me the worst backache ever and the heat 🥵. Can’t complain about the return and refund system though

I’m getting 1930s oak doors throughout the house and have bought Art Deco door handles from a shop on line called Broughtons of Leicester lighting and ironmongery. They have all different styles in brass, chrome black and copper.

Your bedroom makeover is lovely and gives a very tranquil and calm aura which for me, is the most important part of a room where one wants to relax .I love the colours but from a purely personal angle, I would like a bedside table with a small reading lamp and space to put my personal belongings. I would love this room tranquil , gorgeous colours , bed spread of dreams. I would go for chrome the same as down stairs, maybe have the door opening to the wall we did that 🤔yes the light switch was still behind it but I got a magic bulb and Alexa turns it on and of 🤗.
When the mirror is on the wall take another look about putting art either side , I agree at the moment it may need something but think again after .
Can’t wait to see the rug , love the panels and I’ve made my mind up I’m doing my wall behind the bed had the wood laying flat under the bed since January, couldn’t make up my mind … now I’m sure.
Plus would not have noticed the wardrobes were different if you hadn’t said.

Wow, your bedroom is stunning, I wish I could have a lovely bedroom but I have to go for functional, I lost my leg and now I have a wheelchair next to my bed! I wanted an Emma mattress but they make me feel so hot, and as I am struggling with the menopause I think I would blow us out the window!

U could with the trunking going to tv on wall do a bit the others side looks like a little dado rail that’s what I did cause mine drove my ice made and as it’s not much won’t look that bad room is lovely 🥰

What about a section of the panelling in between the wardrobes with a cut-out for the tv and enough gap behind to conceal the wiring? A little bit fiddly perhaps but well within your capabilities.

Habitat have a lovely sage green gingham bed set version of your Dunelm one, which is reasonably priced, and I think would suit your room perfectly.
I love the shutters, but wonder if you had considered curtains? I think a large gingham check or broad neutral stripe (to complement the panelling) would look great, and would soften the large bay window.

I’d say brass finish for the hardware in your room. I know you said the rest of the house is chrome so it might be nice to have a change, and it would look really good with the look of the room.

Rosie , you've done yourself proud. The wardrobes are in keeping with the 30s house. I'd do the door hardware in a pewter colour. Was very fashionable then. Brass is awful to keep shiny, mine have gone dull no matter how much I clean them with brass cleaner.
Emma for us was hell on earth was returned within two weeks 🥰
Oh no really? When I felt it I was worried as even though it’s squishy it’s still firm and my mattress had gotten so soft I was nervous I might not like it so kept my other mattress in hall just incase but I loved it thankfully. If it had of been uncomfortable for me I’d of done sage too hun a comfy night sleep is too important lol 😂

Hi Rosie, I have a couple of questions, hope you can answer, can you confirm the colour of your headboard, is it the oatmeal or the dove gray please.
You say your colours are f&b bone and French gray, but you go b&q and get them to mix it in store, do you just take the colour chart and they scan it ? Also do you get there paint furniture or the wood and metal one for your wardrobes and cladding please, I love your whole house and would love to copy you in my bedroom with the colours, and have a go at painting the furniture, you have inspired me, do you use a roller or a paint brush for the furniture.
