Exploring the Cape May-Lewes Ferry

Looking for a nice way to spend an afternoon. Take a ride on the Cape May Lewes Ferry. This ferry travels between New Jersey and Delaware over the Delaware Bay. The route is 17 miles long and takes 85 minutes each way. You can go one way or both ways, take a car, bike or just walk on. There is a shuttle that runs from both sides of the bay..

I love going the Historic Smithville Shoppes-you don't want to miss them-just up the coast a little from Cape May. These shoppes are so unique! I actually liked the cheese & gift shoppe the best-I think the name was "Magnifico's Say Cheese!"'Cape May shops were fun & loved the ferry!

The one I was on in 1997 had a transparent elevator shaft which was beautiful and similar to the one in the fancy hotels. I didn't see a beautiful elevator on this one.
