I was just at the show. Very few peope were buying. The inventory was the best ive ever seen but it seems like the current market valuation is bit high for the level of demand. Also, the attendees were mostly 50 and up, myself included. Younger folks don't seem to care very much, echoed by my two teenage boys. Pulling into the venue parking lot, there were no signs that the show was even happening.
WACA is a pretty cool organization , and although lack of funds has kept me from becoming a member , I am still a member of the HPCA , High Point Collectors Association.
Good eye! I already have a early, Civil War era Pratt and Whitney rifling machine. A deal came up on this one that I couldn't pass up. Doesn't everybody need two rifling machines?😂😂😂
I wish I could make it to the show. That 38-40 colt would be going home with me. I'm actually camping in an old Cinnabar mine site in south west Texas as I type this....
I’m headed to Vegas now, but it’s for the World of Concrete. I’ll fly out on Friday morning returning home. I’ll have to put it on my list for next year though.
Hi Mark, I once owned a nice Colt Lightning in 22 RF. Nice gun.. I owned a 59 Mercury Montclair 2dr HT. Yep mine had the plastic on the seats also. Hot in the summer & cold in the winter - lol. Loaned it to my brother one too many times and he got T boned by a 2 ton truck. My girl friend and future wife really loved that big Merc..
Mark, I would be very interested to see how you transport all of these rifles without damaging any of them. Do you have racks built into a small trailer?
That's a one-owner '57 Turnpike Cruiser. It was parked in the shop in the '60's and hasn't been started since. Still has the plastic on the seats. I wish I had time to get the old girl running, but I stay buried in gun work and likely won't get to it.
@@thecinnabar8442 It looks to be in great shape, but it will need some time and effort (and money) if it has been sitting that long for sure. I have three project cars waiting in the wings and it is an open question on whether I'll live long enough to complete them.😀
is that a 58 pontiac 4 door pillarless ? have you done a review and shoot with the 22 cal 1873 winchester ,i searched but could not find one, that may be interesting , cheers from down under
It's a 57 Mercury. I had planned to do an episode on that 22, but just ran out of time. If it doesn't sell at the show, you'll see it on a future episode.
curious as to what that machine is off to your right ,looks like it has an x/y table and also a lathe like head stock ....pipes maybe ? Also curious about the pool cues , is there an antique billiard table lurking around there somewhere? I had a Brunswick Balke Collender from the mid 1800's and a large collection of early stuff....ex wifey, bless her heart....put an end to that "frivolous endeavor" , eventually she got traded out for a newer model as well LOL
That machine is a WW1 era Pratt and Whitney rifling machine. The pool table had to find a new home to make room for the rifling machine. The pool table wasn't anything special.
@@thecinnabar8442 no wonder I had not seen anything like it lol , i saw the vid on the earlier rifling machine , this one looks really beefy .....that big cast bridge is certainly a unique feature ....had me bewildered as to what it might be :)
Hi Chris. Erin and I went to the SHOT show last year. We not going to make it this year, though. Jump on the tram and come over to the antique arms show if you get the chance. You'll be tired of looking at black guns and want to see some honest to goodness walnut and blued steel.😉
If I don't make Cody in July I'm def hitting LV next year. Have fun. Is that Henry for sale? How do you pack those guns for travel...pelican style cases?
Make sure to stop by our table if you make either of those shows. The Henry is on consignment for sale. If it doesn't sell at Las Vegas or Colorado in May, it will likely be at Cody. We pack them very carefully. We have several methods of packing depending upon the value of the gun.
It was great meeting you at the las vegas Antique firearms show. I can't wait to see the video of that very special pistol you showed me. I am so jealous. I love strange finds like that. Be safe getting back home
Thank you Mark definetly a show to pass by for all firearm enthusiasts
Man that saddle ring carbine 86 in 40-82 is neat!
Great looking group of early old west rifles!
I sure wish I could get over to the show.
Nice rifles and the old Mercury is too.

Wow, look at that old what looks like a Fairlane; my mom had a 1960 Thunderbird and it was white. Now on to the rifles; they are especially nice.
Close. It's a '57 Mercury

Model 66 long ranger is my personal favorite.
I just never see one in show's.
I have an original and a Centenial.
Boy, you weren't kidding about being heavy on the '73's. What a wonderful collection. I hope to make it out there some year.
Great looking table of History!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
Great set of rifles, have a good show!
Those are some nice rifles on that table! I'm sure a lot of folks will enjoy the chance of getting any of them! 😮❤
Nice Turnpike Cruiser. Wonderfully riding cars. Luxury with style.
Wow, is that a sine bar rifling machine in the background? You are right, greatest gun show ever.
Good eye! I already have a early, Civil War era Pratt and Whitney rifling machine. A deal came up on this one that I couldn't pass up. Doesn't everybody need two rifling machines?😂😂😂
I’ll see you there.
Beautiful Guns'' Another Great Video Mark 💯 Thank you 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Some very nice rifles, really like those 73, and 86’s,

Beautiful rifles. Thank you Mark. By the way, you will have to talk about that car someday🙂! If only to avoid being nagged about it …
Some beautiful firearms there Mark. Thank you very much for sharing. Good luck at the show. Will definitely add it to the bucket list.
We'll look forward to meeting you there sometime.
Wish I would have known about this sooner. I’m in Vegas now for the shot show that starts Tuesday and I’m flying out Friday am early.
That's a shame. If you come out to the SHOT Show next year, plan to stay an extra day and come see us.
I'll put it in my calendar for next year. Looks like a show to go to. Thanks Mark
Sounds good, Clay!
Thanks Mark, sounds like a good winter vacation. I'll need to attend next year.
Be sure to look us up if you make it next year.

Do that many guns fit in the back of that car mark? Thanks for the recommendation. I like a good show
I will be in las vegas that weekend for the Mechum motorcycle aution i will stop by saturday see ya
Looking forward to it!
How in gods name did you get ahold of a Henry. Those are easily at 50 K
Mark, I would be very interested to see how you transport all of these rifles without damaging any of them. Do you have racks built into a small trailer?
No, but we do have a special soft carrier for the back seat of our pickup for the more valuable guns.
What is your price range for the different guns?
Our family has a Turnpike Cruiser also. Cool car, lets see more of it.
Very cool cars. My wife's father bought this one brand new as a teenager. He's 86 now.
@@thecinnabar8442is it right hand drive?
No, left hand
Thanks for the reply, my dad bought ours off of the Pine Ridge Indian Res. It's pretty rough, but still cool. Love your vids.@@thecinnabar8442

What caliber is the Colt large frame Burgess?
The large frame Colt is a 40-60-260. It's the same cartridge used for the 40-60 Marlin and 40-65 Winchester.

You should invite the fellow from Leverguns50 to your ranch. That would be an interesting video...
We've talked about it and he has a standing invite out to the ranch.
No 76's??
Plumb out of 76's. Hard to keep them in inventory.
What's your car looks like a Ford nice video
