We give Jack a lot of crap but we love him, Jack is awesome!!! That interview today with Don Pettit was awesome, I'm happy for Jack to be able to have that opportunity!!!
I would love to work at starbase. Seems like a military community in that its all spacex living and working there striving towards an amazing goal. Damn. Sign me up.
I'm willing to bet the spin prime added again was basically because this will be the first launch of a B2 starship, which is much heavier. They may have the raptor v2.5's instead of 2.0s so they want to make sure the new engine mounts can handle a stronger/harder spin-up for the heavier ship.
The white wooden forms you display near the beginning of the video were used to transport the new tank that was moved from the factory to MB-1 in the Das-narrated video the day before.
18:36 you forget how a sight like this would have seemed like science fiction only a decade ago, and unrealistic only a few years ago. now imagine the sights we will see five years from now!
A rocket garden with milestone iterations and everything space and spacex as an attraction would be massively popular and engaging not to mention lucrative this is history in real time and with the leaps made so far and what the future promises spacex could easily surpass the apollo era. I can imagine future generations wishing they where around during this amazing time, the weight of what we're experiencing certainly isn't lost on me I'm savouring every launch and every milestone, hell even watching deliveries and the office construction got me fascinated.....☝️☝️☝️💫💙
I really believe that the next Starship will launch mid-January. Then 1 a month unless they find new issues. If this next flight goes well, as Elon already said on X, the next flight after that will be a booster AND ship catch attempt. But they'll have to go orbital to do it of course. But please, upgrade that antenna on the tower so it won't be damaged again.
I say Jack does a second interview with Jared I but dressed in a Kilt, presenting Jared with a NSF Jack in kilt 0G indicator. During the interview hold a 50/50 fundraiser half for the camera Jack dreams of and rest for Jared charity of choice. the funds can be donations and or gifted memberships to reach the goal. With NSF having 1.22M subscribers and Jared possibly becoming part of NASA it could be epic.
Just a thought but the small “tanks” could be for a in space fuel transfer. Slap a quick disconnect on @ payload bay hooked to two small tanks with fuel and o2 then just dock a second ship and add a splash of fuel.
2024 was an absolutely amazing year for SpaceX (so far). But 2025 is going to put it to shame, I think. I'm calling a 4th of July with 2 simultaneous full stacks at Starbase (Pad A/Pad B). Would be even better if they BOTH launched/caught boosters on that day. That seems like a big ask, but it is 7 months from now (an ETERNITY in SpaceX time). We'll see.
The bobcat is currently distributing soil around the tank farm in preparation for the placement of members on top, specifically related to LR11000. This activity is essential for the subsequent lifting and installation of the two large tanks from Sanchez into the tank farm. The personnel observed at the site are engaged in reviving the embeds necessary for the tank installation process.
Hi NSF Few questions : - any sign of a new starlink loader box system for transferring into the starship V2 ? - what is the current tank farm capacity ? How many flights can they fuel up before having to refill and how much do you think they will increase its capacity to support 25 flights/year or more ? - any info on flight 7 objectifs ? Full orbital ? Payload deployment ? Cheers lads
Jack says “2025 will indeed be host to an impressive number of Starship flights”. What is the status of SpaceX’s application to increase the annual launch limit to 25 a year? Is there any estimate on when we expect to see that approval come through? Or maybe I’ve missed some news and it’s already approved?
Ok stupid question alert. How do the chopsticks move the booster into perfect alignment with the stand after catching? Is there a kind of conveyor belt mechanism? Surely the catch can't be that precise that it never needs to be moved?
Yes, the top of the each arm where the booster rests can be independently shifted in towards the tower or out away from the tower. Thus the whole booster can be moved closer or farther from the tower, and it can be rotated a few degrees in place. A combination of these movements lets them precisely position it over the stand.
Aren't they going to put any sort of catching hardware on flight 7 ship? Even if not aimed for a catch attempt, it seems reasonable to start testing how that hardware behaves on re-entry
How good a look have we had of every inch of the ship? I assume any catching pins would ideally retract to be flush with the surface until deployed for the catch. Ring watchers and others do analyse pretty much every bump and weld mark on every vessel so I admit it’s unlikely but just maybe there is something in its retracted state that hasn’t been seen yet. Alternatively perhaps SpaceX hasn’t quite figured it out yet and plan to do everything in IFT-8. Plan for the catch but instrument the catch hardware area with loads of sensors and cameras to allow a well-informed decision on whether to do a booster-style abort to an at-sea gulf landing if it looks as if the catch hardware might have taken damage or gone outside of planned temperatures at any time during re-entry. That would be a pretty SpaceX thing to do so I suspect it’s the more likely hypothesis.
Seeing as they want 25 flights in 2024 shouldn't they just make more stands so they can keep them on a rotation back and forth from test areas and build sites
If Space X was using the raptor 3 he would have said so. That will be a significant upgrade so one can be assured its first use will receive much attention!
If flight #7 will be on Jan 11th, then when will flight #9 be? (flight # minus one = roach #) Since flight #1 was on 4/20 2023, I rolled a king-sized joint with fresh cannabis, & lit it up when they ignited the booster on the world's largest rocket. Then for every Starship (full-stack) flight test since then, I've rolled & smoked a king-sized roach joint, rolled with the previous flight's king-sized roach plus 4 other (regular sized) roaches, where roach-level = flight # - 1. (smoking half a fresh cannabis joint, produces one level 1 roach, putting 2 level 1 roaches into a joint & smoking half of that, produces one level 2 roach, ect) I have already rolled the king-sized roach joint for flight #7, and I have the 4 level 7 roaches I'll need for flight #8. But I will need to smoke more than 1,000 cannabis joints, in order to produce the 4 level 8 roaches I will need for flight #9! Thus the question, when flight #9? I would need to smoke more than 2,000 joints between flight #9 & flight #10, so that it right out. But I will need to step up my smoking game, from 4 joints per day, to 12 joints per day, in order keep this going to flight #9, and that will need to be in about 100 days from now (Dec 9th 2024) , for me to have any chance of making it. Should I give up now, or go for it? How much would I have to "donate" (super-chat?) for you to ask your audience if I am the only one doing this? Competition would be incentive to keep going.
Quick disconnect test with the cover on means they will catch from a different tower than they launch from. And the covers are left on to avoid debris when it needs to reconnect to a caught ship or booster.

KiwiCo appears on a number of my favorite channels & I've yet to hear anything bad about them. Congrats on picking up the new high quality sponsor :)
I like the way NSF chose a product that encourages the education, growth and development of interests of children. They are our future.
We give Jack a lot of crap but we love him, Jack is awesome!!! That interview today with Don Pettit was awesome, I'm happy for Jack to be able to have that opportunity!!!
Ship 34 will fly on B15, not B14
blows my mind to see spacex literally pulling a "FORD for spaceflight" with manufacturing these ships back to back. great time to be alive.
I would love to work at starbase. Seems like a military community in that its all spacex living and working there striving towards an amazing goal. Damn. Sign me up.
Real life black mesa
They did the static fire this morning at 10:19.
At 9.05 I expected Chris B's voice to come booming over Jack saying, 'That's the Shuttle Tanker!'
And today the Orbital Launch Bagel was nicely toasted ❤
Jack is Orange!!
Jack's gone a funny colour
They should paint Starship red like Thunderbird 3 and replace the shower head deluge system with a swimming pool.

was so cool seein you get to talk photo stuff with the ISS!!!!!! 2 eclipse from space... what a dude.
The future is exciting. Go Starbase.
Another great video by NSF! Kudos to the whole team for this one😁👍
Great video. Thank you NSF!
I so laughed out loud (for real) when I saw the BQD caps blow off. It was cute. Nice catch guys!
I have a prediction that the antennas we saw on the chop sticks was for guidance calibration for ship catching :)
Did you have a late night jack? Thanks for the vid! Awesome as always!
Wow, you really know a lot about putting a rocket together. Good job. Uncle Bob
B14 SF yesterday was fantastic!
This opening is amazing
Why is Jack orange?
Please bring back the ringwatchers diagram showing the status of each vehicle’s stacking!
instant sponsor beard on
Top Notch, always a lot to disect and a LOT to look forward to. 🇺🇸
Colors seem off, almost like a colorized black and white movie.
What’s with the bad color grading?
Glad someone else saw that too 😅
Thanks for the update, Jack!
Thanks Jack for the information and details.
Jack and NSF, y'all rock! Love the channel and content. Peace 🤘
The white wooden forms you display near the beginning of the video were used to transport the new tank that was moved from the factory to MB-1 in the Das-narrated video the day before.
The material in front of the tank farm appears to be crushed limestone base or caliche base. Awesome update!
Appreciate coverage 💫
Oh ya ❤🎉😅 moving right along, steady progress is awesome 😊 thanks for the update
There is definitely room at the Smithsonian with the shuttle for a Starship. That was my favorite experience in Washington
It's orange!
18:36 you forget how a sight like this would have seemed like science fiction only a decade ago, and unrealistic only a few years ago. now imagine the sights we will see five years from now!
Lots of info Jack, thanks as always.
Great job Jack! You are always awesome

Someday the Smithsonian might be interested. I was typing this when you brought up the Smithsonian
If I recall Elon agreed to deliver one of his rockets to Brownsville.
Jack oompa loompa confirmed.
"If you're not adding parts (processes) back in, you're not cutting enough."
Flight 7 will be on my birthday January 11th
Forget starship. We're building Gundam now
If Elon pilots the first Gundam he’ll be my all time hero. Period.
Ew @@tmikkelsen8066
?
Thanks for the update and views 🇺🇲🙏🇺🇦
That big tube on the white cradles could be air con, or ventilation ducting.
Midnight, January 1 is when the next launch should be. I'll stay up for it.
11:00 im calling it, damn squirrels
Just saw this ready for a good update

for a building in Texas, I don't know if it's wise to have a giant black building? :P It'd be crazy hot in the summer sun.
Right on the money

That penthouse will be a hot property

Not entirely certain but I'm pretty sure those boxes being transported into Starbase are recovered ship pieces from the coast of Australia

13:26 “Starbus #1” making a cameo appearance. How many Starbus routes are there?
Historical Articles like Ship 26 😢
I took a screenshot around 3:45, just for scale.
Great information.
is it just me or Jack looks like Vin Diesel??
Would somebody get that manic Kilt.😅
Someones got a new focus thingy!

Suborbital, no sign of payload deployment. Maybe another in flight relight.
Booster 12 will be turned into a monument.
I love this video!!!!!! Please in the future get someone with a little more experience
It sucks to be wet in cotton and denim. Modern athletic microfibers feel much better to be wet in, and dries much faster.

Will there be enough height in MegaBay to build Block 2 Booster/SuperHeavy?
Interesting intro !
14:16 is it not Booster 15? Since Booster 14 is flying S33
9:05 Shuttle
Did anyone notice the new heat shield tiles on the edge of the flaps
Jack didn't write these words which he is speaking. Wrong timing, wrong 'jokes'. Fun nevertheless. Thank you NSF team
I actually did…

Booster 15 14:11
Hello
Are they using Raptor 3 on this booster? Could explain the spin prime.
If Space X was using the raptor 3 he would have said so. That will be a significant upgrade so one can be assured its first use will receive much attention!
No. Booster V1 don't use R3. Even early ships V2 will use R2.5 (raptors 2 with modified mount points to match R3).
R3 is still in testing.
Spin prime and spark don't go well together. But. I digress.
If flight #7 will be on Jan 11th, then when will flight #9 be?

Why is Jack orange? January 20, 2025 seems like a good day for a launch. Elon might want some fireworks that day.
Either bad colour grading or he's gone full mouldy orange.
Did Jack get a paint job?
