As an Ipswich supporter I thought it was clear that you have a pretty shaky defence, and some top, top championship players, and Jack Clarke, who is very good. We had a disjointed team, with Morsy and Luongo both out, and despite that still were able to dig deep and get the win. As an outsider, not sure why Mowbray was sacked, and I agree, Bellingham is a very good prospect. Sunderland have great travelling fans, and the top five look pretty solid, so the fight for sixth place is going to be tough and every point will count.
Ipswich fan here, firstly have to credit your fan base, great numbers and lots of noise. When we played you on the opening day, i feel although we got the win you boys dominated the game. However last night I lost count of the amount of misplaced passes where you just put the ball out and gave us possession back. From an outsider perspective, Mowbray sacking seemed harsh. Does a good job with young players, which you have lots of and not quite sure what the owners expect results wise when they didn’t back him with a centre forward when he was crying out for one. The battle for those last couple of playoff places will be really tough and hope you make it, good luck for the rest of the season.
Thanks for stopping by - think that’s a very fair assessment. Over the two games we’ve played you this season, I’ve come to rate you extremely highly. Massive fan of McKenna
good and fair account of the game - i think one of the differences was that ipswich really don’t give up - the spirit is such that they go behind and still battle back to get the points - oh and for the record Connor Chaplin is 5ft 6 and really shouldn’t be left unmarked at a set piece
i am also an Ipswich supporter and whilst i understand Sunderlands angst at failing to gain points at a vital juncture, i think you guys should remember, nobody has a god given right to win any game, whatever the "expectation" - especially when playing away from home against a side that sits second from top and 18 points above your current league position. You know, there really are 2 teams in every game.
I have a lot of time for your team. As I mention in the video, you seem to have the balance spot on in terms of youth and experience compared to us. I don't think anyone is expecting us to come and roll such a good side over away from home, but we do expect more from our own team and own club at times. I think McKenna is brilliant tactically, mind. He has been instrumental in the six points you've taken off us this season. Quality head coach
They do have money , owner is a billionaire.l, he just dont want to spend it. Tony mowbray had a dissagreement with the board and it ended in tears. Beale probably was the cheapest option so they took him on
Good summary James. Beale looks no closer to cracking this than Mowbray. You have start with a balanced team and 3 centre midfielders and a number 10 isn't the way to go about it.
Is a change of shape under consideration..Matete in the holding role with Neil and Ekwah pushing higher in possession and dropping in out of possession. Leaves you with 3 to pick upfront from Clarke,Pritchard,Dack,Roberts,Rusyn,Mayenda,Hemir,Aouchiche,Ba and Bennette. We've over cooked in this area and lack depth behind the front 3. I understand the model but the jigsaws far from complete
@@JamesCopley_ I know Michael and his team are good coaches but I haven't seen any tactical changes from the training ground to the pitch, maybe more compact and narrow !
Whose going to provide or score when Jack Clark goes , because it’s pretty nailed on that will happen by the Summer. Spurs get a big chunk of any transfer fee.
Jobe needs a rest (needs to go to reverse anger management to get some passion and a little aggression), Ekwah also needs a rest and be told to look behind or play with a review mirror. Really need to start with a striker and rotate these, at least one on the pitch every game. Ground hog day.
Yes the club is going backwards, beales tactics are shite, his substitutions shite, as a coach he's shite, speakman and kld appointed him and the shite players we have, where's the investment in the club / squad?, where's the money from sale of ross stewart gone ?, in kld's pocket perhaps ?, sunderland need a new owner , speakman and beale out immediately, however nothing will change whilst fans put their arses on seats, dont go to games, empty stadium will force change
The future is very bright for some of these players. I just think they need some additional help. They're knackered. We need depth and experience. Just the way I see it at the moment.
Whos picking the team? It cant be beale! What manager in his right mind would come in and still pick ba ahead of another striker! And play a overrated 18 yo midfielder in jobe up front! I had a few issues with Mowbray but he was a million times better then this clown!

Thanks for stopping by Kevin and best of luck for the run-in this season. Have a lot of time for Ipswich as a club

Thanks Glenn and thanks for keeping me right regarding Chaplin! 💪🏼

Beale out clueless, speakmen out aswell ruining our club
Beales subs for me at his times at Rangers were a massive red flag. Keep an eye on it it highlights how clueless he is.
Couldn’t agree more he just spouts claptrap 😢
Hi, MB is not a better manager than TM - so what was the point? Why do Sunderland apparently have no money? Confused as always! Cheers.

Would love to see a change of shape. Think we have been wedded to 4-2-3-1 for a little too long. We need to be flexible

Going to something like a 4-2-4 against Ipswich's 3-2-4 -1 is a recipe for disaster...
Wasn’t suggesting we do that. Would have preferred a tighter 4-3-3 instead of the 4-2-3-1 we’re getting
We would’ve taken something from the game if we left Ba on. He was doing a job on Davis. Simple as that.
Think his yellow card may have pushed Beale towards the sub
Not good enough simple as that hahaha
i just cant be arsed with them anymore win lose or draw not really bothered ☹☹☹
This makes me sad
Need an experienced/holding midfielder to come in!
Agreed
YES
Simple and succinct
Jobe needs a rest (needs to go to reverse anger management to get some passion and a little aggression), Ekwah also needs a rest and be told to look behind or play with a review mirror. Really need to start with a striker and rotate these, at least one on the pitch every game. Ground hog day.
Yeah, think some of these lads could do with a rest - but then hard to replace them
I like Sunderland as a club think they have plenty of quality and an honest team as well. No doubt you'll be in play off's !!
I hope you’re right!
Yes
Simple and to the point 😂

When they win the future looks bright when they loose its a disaster.. Its getting rediculus to be honest..

Beale is a useless chancer
Get rid
At least Michael Beale is a hero at paradise 😂😂🍀🏴🇮🇪🍀
