Thanks a lot Jasmin. I tried some of these drills, watched some other of your videos, practiced as much as I can and improved a lot. Finally got runner-up place in a local competition. It's my first medal in pool, really small event but i feel happy.
Hi Jasmine! Great video! You could add a white ball icon on the top corner of the screen so you could tag where you hit the cueball or even how strong. Sometimes it would be useful to know, especially for beginners. Cheers!
Hi from the USA. I’m enjoying your channel and your sense of humor. Keep it up! It’s a big help to get insight from professional players like yourself.
back in the game after a long spell ...decades ago - so feel like learning many things that were either forgotten or never used ...this is a much appreciated training approach to regaining some of what was lost - thanks
Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to post great online content. I especially enjoy your drill videos. And also wanted to say your one of my favorite pro players. Have a good day. Also, it would be awesome to see some pro women vs pro men scotch doubles. Maybe the mosconi? Or a similar format. Would be awesome.
Well due to Lockdown I haven't played any Pool or Snooker since December so I will have to practice these beginner shots again and my technique as it has been so long. I hope to compete in tournaments later this year too.
Thank you so much for the drills. I've been shooting seriously for almost 2 years and am ready to add some new things to my practices. I've already been doing a few similar to yours that I'll try your way and see if I improve.
Hi Jasmine this video is AWESOME! I’ve been following your channel and it’s been great it’s like having you as a personal tutor / coach I’ve been studying also the one where you explain playing with spin / english. I appreciate your wealth of knowledge it’s great and generous of you to take your time as a professional to post helpful videos for us that are either starting out or returning to the game after decades have passed. I’ve haven’t played for over twenty years and it’s not like riding a bicycle so your videos have been beyond helpful and I’m fan so I love watching you play. STAY AWESOME!
Hi jasmin im a filipino fan of yours, Thanks jasmin for your effort showing your skills and techniques particularly your performance task its an artistic work of art the way you execute the ball..i enjoy a lot❤❤❤
Man awesome video. Time to start these drills as a new player. One thing that would help is having a graphic up on screen showing where you're striking the cue ball, if you're not hitting center. Were they all center ball? Be easy on me I'm a complete newb started playing a few months ago in a league.
Hi Just come across your videos and really enjoyed the spin explanation which made some things better to understand. It would be good if you could put a cue ball up in one of the corners showing where you are striking the cue ball when making shots. I have seen this in other tutorials and it really helps me.
You did a great job on this video. I would only add that you should write a little more in your comment section as Dr. Dave does. It would be nice to print these out and bring them to my table. Maybe my memory isn't so good. Thanks again.
Wonderful video. Definitely going to help me get better. However, after a few minutes of that background music, I ended up just muting it. So bad 🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks again for sharing stuff like this. There's so many different drills and personal opinions to deal with in the pool world, it's nice to have this clear and effective guidelines you showed us. Cheers :)
Jasmin "Ocean" is doing amazing things...but, what is "potting" balls. Can balls be planted and grown...do they help plants grow? I really enjoy her "practice" drills and I do use them now in my warm up routine. I am not clear on what type of spin, if any, she is using on her shots but I can kinda figure it out. Go Jasmin! Take state and then nationals!
I don’t consider myself a beginner until I try your beginner drills. Just what I needed, evidently. By the way. You have a great stroke technique (swimming). My guess is that you do triathlons, or should, if you could fit them in.
I hate drills but these looked good and you made them look easy! I have a 7x4 English table at home but my biggest problem with practising is keeping my focus and concentration. Anyone got any tips or ideas to help with that? 👍
By the way I am a big fan started watching when you first came out on apa tour when your aponents were Allison fisher ,the widow,Kelly fisher gy Yong Kim and other's you really made think twice when the heat was on
Top notch Ma'am,,, much obliged for the service, exactly what I was looking for direct to the point no clutter. I'm happy that I found a pool pro with that stance, every time I'm in the hall everybody & his mother annoys me you, about my stance, stating that this stance wont work, that's a snooker, Oh will I love both games.
I continue to struggle with rail shots. I can hit the cue ball straight, when by itself, but when I have a straight shot, with an object ball, I nearly always hit the object ball wrong, even though the cue looks straight, the object ball either goes to the left or right and hardly even into the pocket. very rarely it goes near the pocket. it's a strange one and so frustrating. Also, the 6 ball 'positional play' drill, I like the look of that. I tried it. I can';t get the cue ball to hit the top cushion, to bounce off, to get into position for the next ball. My cue ball doesn't bounce of top cushion hard enough to go behind next ball and if if I hit it slightly harder I miss the pot. Stun seems best here, as follow forward or back draw doesn't work for me here.
Ur drills are great but it would be better for a beginner if you teach cue action, cue ball control and positional play incorporated in your shots . Alternatively please send a link on cueing action, cue ball control and positional play. Thanks .
Hi Jasmin please tell me what time of English you are using with the drill when you set up the balls in an L shape. Thanks. I am new to the game. Great Chanel
So when I am doing drill 1, I can make the ball each time but when I do a stop shot, it doesnt stop it keeps rolling. The follow shot, doesn't roll straight into the pocket after but typical forward and to the right. The draw shot, is very inconsistent but never straight back. =/ For the between ball shot, to see if my stroke is straight, I i can hit the cue ball and it goes between them and about 60% of the time it comes back to the cue tip, but the other times, it hits the short rail dead on straight but comes back to the right hitting or coming close to the right ball on the foot line. So, to improve, what does that mean =(
As a beginner, it'd been nice for you to show how you struck the cue ball for the various different English you used.
Thanks a lot Jasmin. I tried some of these drills, watched some other of your videos, practiced as much as I can and improved a lot. Finally got runner-up place in a local competition. It's my first medal in pool, really small event but i feel happy.
These are great, thank you for doing this! I would love to know where you are hitting the cue ball in the next video if possible?
Hi Jasmine! Great video! You could add a white ball icon on the top corner of the screen so you could tag where you hit the cueball or even how strong. Sometimes it would be useful to know, especially for beginners. Cheers!
That is a good idea! Would require some video editing, though
Great presentation of basic drills! A part 2 of more drills you recommend would be appreciated
One of my favorite players for sure amazing technique 💪🏽

Totally agree - mixed scotch doubles would draw my interest.
Thank you so much for this video. These do not seem too intimidating as other videos and tips by others.
Here after your win on de Luna. You played great!

Is there a way to like the same video multiple times? I wish there was! Thanks for sharing such excellent content, I will be trying all these drills.
Not since Ray Martin's 99 Critical Shots have I seen the essential information explained so clearly. An instant classic.
So concise and well produced!! Maybe good for the experienced player to revisit these as well??
Outstanding set of drills so i can train to beat the bar bros and eventually take over the world.
thanks for this resource, I downloaded this one to keep handy.
Thank you. I can certainly put this to work.
Wonderful video. Definitely going to help me get better.

Im going to try this drill by alternating sides after each shot.
this is perect, thank you so much
Thanks so much love it
Are these the PAT 1 exercises? They are very close to them. Simple but extremely effective

Hey Jasmin
Are you left eye dominant?
Greetings from Swiss 👍❤️
Thank you do much.
Thanks!
Awesome drills! 🤙🏽
Bravo !
IT would be beneficial if you would have a dot/marker on where the cue ball is struck on your drills.
Hi @Jasmin. Can you let us know where can we buy one-sleeve t-shirts like the ones you wear during your matches?
Totally crushing on you Jasmin. You rock girl!
cool 😍
Thankyou🎱👌
Hello Jasmin, could you make a video on using english on the cue ball? Thanks
Ur drills are great but it would be better for a beginner if you teach cue action, cue ball control and positional play incorporated in your shots . Alternatively please send a link on cueing action, cue ball control and positional play. Thanks .
