I understand Jeff. When a coach is rude to me it doesn’t motivate me it just makes me not want to do it. If my coach is nice to me it makes me want to do it and I want to do well.
Im too competitive to not give it my all in training and competition but shouting DOES NOT ALWAYS HELP. This isnt a special forces "reality" show. She should recognise that different people have different motivations. All this is doing is putting him off exercise.
Mat Watson. taking a break puts them of exercise. If you become unmotivated when somebody is mean to you, you don’t want it enough

Some people don't respond to negative motivation, like me if i had a trainer who always gave negative motivation it would cause me to get angry and probably snap and attack them in anger

I understand that some people don’t do well with Jillian’s style but then... DONT GO ON THE SHOW. That’s what you sign up for. You don’t go on the show and then tell a professional how to do their job. No way.

Jillian is amazing, she is a great trainer.
The reason people "buy into" Jillian`s training style is because it works. I feel like if you sign up and get on The Biggest Loser you should be prepared to push yourself and be trained hard. You're not going to change if you keep doing whats comfortable.

Some people have different mind sets when I’m working out I wanna hear my coach yelling at me cause it pumps me up some people don’t like being yelled at cause it makes them feel nervous and they don’t really try so the don’t get embarrassed cause the can’t do a certain exercise
This was one of the best seasons
Honestly Jeff need to listen if he wants to lose weight, I wish I was losing weight I weigh 170 I could use some good work out
It's easy to put on the weight but it's hard to lose it.

If Jillian was yelling at me I would ignore her and just do what I'm supposed to do, I don't respond to negative motivations, my big sister used to be my trainer and she was never negative she always made it fun

Everyone’s mind works differently so for Jillian to not really understand/be able to sit back and realize it isn’t working is on her. I my self was 20 when I started my journey. I’ve gone from 335 pounds to 183 and now a body builder. It took 6 years and I love this show and this show helped motivate me. Jillian’s training would hurt me. I feel as though her training works on more weak minded non self aware overweight individuals/females who want to be strong and powerful. Her ego got in the way on this one where even though she is right on his perception on life he’s self aware enough to know what makes him work harder.
okay reading these comments she did not call him "the size of New York" She said he has a "chip on his shoulder the size of New York" which basically means having an angry or negative attitude or way of behaving caused by a belief that one has been treated unfairly in the past. Which is kind of true, he constantly made excuse's and it was never his fault.
In regards to her yelling, remember this is a completely different environment, for normal sports coaching, or long term training no it most likely wouldn't work.
most of these people would of had positive reinforcement by their families and friends to lose weight, it hasn't worked, if the motivation to be healthy for their families, or for the sake of their own lives haven't work, maybe they need the tough love approach, where their trainer is very tough on them.
Let me have someone disrespect me saying like chip in his or her shoulder the size of New York we would have a huge problem and imma give a attitude just like Jeff did

That is so rude. Yes they are there to lose weight but trainers should be supportive and not call them fat bc they know that. They have probably been told that all their life. Just bc you are skinny doesn't mean you have to bring them down. Be supportive and don't be rude to others that have been through a lot. Also he was showing "attitude" bc you are being so mean and he has been trying and all you have to say is "bend your knees!!", "why do you have an attitude?" He has an attitude bc you are not supportive!!!!
