So how does nightcore work? Is it just a high pitched version of the original song slapped on with an anime picture?
yeah, the simplest nightcores are just speed up and higher pitch, by how much is up to makers choice, thats why no two nightcores are quite the same. i believe zero adds so more edits though, might be thinking of his nightstep(nightcore+dubstep).

It's actually Vocaloid, a voice synthesizer. You can find songs on UA-cam. The three male vocaloids are Gakupo (the purple), Kaito (blue),and Len (blond).

+wert löl123 Vocaloids are not anime, but they are like.. hm.. a singing voice synthesizer. In short, someone japanese sing, and they're this vocaloid? I'm not sure xD I'm bad at explaining. If you ask of the names of vocaloids then I think they are: Kagamine Len, Kaito and Gakupo. I hope I helped somehow.. but yeah.. I'm bad at explaining.. try to watch some videos about what vocaloids are, maybe they'll help somehow D:
