@Opalance Agree, you said it in the right words man, my mistake, it's not that they are bad players at all, for some reason they appear in the ITTF's top 100 rank... but as you said, players as Boll, Samsonov, Jun, joo, sometimes Maze, and "A" team chinese players, have a remarkable superior game...
Legout is far more talented than Sussm its clear as the day, the thing is that he isnt training that much, so he is overpowered in terms of speed and aggressiveness. But no one can deny Legout made some extraordinary shots, specially those backhand chops away from the table.
Legout is a great player but his play lost some of the power and quickness in the post-speed glue ban era.Mabe the age too. If you want to see what he was capable of,watch Legout-Kreanga match,WTTC 2005,full match posted by "ultrajoanna" user, shared in 4 or 5 parts, dont remember well now
@DKPOWA Yes, you're totally right... Legout is a great player, much better than Suss, his style of chopping then looping is something impresive indeed... I think Suss is a mediocre player as much as he train he won't go up in the ranks, and will never be a match for chinese players...
In my opinion, Legoût is really a good player, the best french for now after Jean-Philippe Gatien. I don't like C. Süss that much, because I don't like his play, it is not impressive compare to Ovtchvarov or Boll.
@max095 Who cares? People still root and adore Maze even though he's only beat the Chinese a couple times in his career and is 30, Suss is good, about as good as they get, but only 4 players in the world can win a match or two here and there against the Chinese, Jun, Boll, Joo, and Samsonov, it's just another league, those guys and the Chinese A team are at in.
@sabolindale Mmm I dont agree totally on "At the end the victory counts" but certainly, the best player is usually the one who wins. But in MY opinion, Suss lacks creativity/imagination, the thing is he is just used to train and play against Timo Boll, so its now wonder he is capable of a fast spinny game, of course, not at a very impressive level, but still high enough to beat some players from time to time...
@DKPOWA Far more talented in terms of what? Athletic ability! But there it stops. You should have listened to the commentary of Anders Johansson. Far more talented, boy you're talking smack.
Legout was one of the fastest Europeans, mentally very strong, one of the best servers-third ball attackers despite starting playing the game ridicoulously late at the age of 11 with wins over Waldner and Wang Liqin.Suss was the typical German robolooper who massively benefitted from Germany's financial prowess being sponsored from a young age by powerful patrons.
i like legout's combo: chop+hard top-spin. it's really nice to watch
Punaise legout c'est toujours un régal de le voir jouer. Vraiment une belle gestuelle (quoique atypique) et puis quel athlète surtout.
I like the variety Legout brings into his game
both players hit some amazing angles this match
I used to play with Christophe at school, there i already beat him many times:-))) He's great, go Christophe, go!
Великолепная игра обоих теннисистов!!!
I was a bit worried about Suss going against Legout, but I guess I had nothing to worry about. He handled himself well.

French players = creativity and hard work for the win. They make tt-life colorful.
Legout is the best chopper ever :D
1.37 look at hand's legout ?

Legout is sure creative from long range, His pushing game seems really shaky though.

France put up one hell of a fight against Germany, but the resistance failed in the end...again.
dang i wanted legout to win :D
1:34 snack time!
5:03 omg^^
@sabolindale lol, power bars by the buttload, water, juice, coke, bananas, apples, chips, you do get hungry though...
@DKPOWA psssp, he just beat Samsonov, who can beat anyone, including the Chinese.

C. Suss is a boring to watch player... Anyways, he played a good game, was nice to watch.
