For those who want to automize installation process via GPO, you'll need a tool called Orca (part of Winsdk kit), and then you can create .mst file for .msi, which may have some parameters for silent install of .msi via GPO (for example Server name/address, TLS identity and key, etc). Full list of parameters can be found in zabbix documentation ("Windows agent installation from MSI").
Thanks for your help! I forgot the template setting, my own fault. One more incident could be a problem. ZBX icon was red. Solution: ESET antivirus Firewall settings had to open port 10050. After that ZBX icon turned green and 100+ item reception immediately :)
Hi all! first thank you Sir for the tutorial ! I only have one question though : does zabbix agent have a significant impact on performance of a gaming windows pc for example? I've been thinking of adding my main gaming machine to be monitored . Thank you all in advance!
i need an up-to-date guide how to do a silent installation of zabbix agent (so that i could install it on multiple hosts at once by using Chef or Ansible)
It would be great to someday see support in Zabbix for monitoring parameters such as CPU frequency, its temperature, voltage, fan speed, and much more, but with the native tools of Zabbix itself. (for windows hosts of course)

I can say briefly that I used a third party utility "LibreHardwareMonitor" which creates an additional section in WMI with the path "ROOT\LibreHardwareMonitor\Sensor" where all the data I wanted to collect is already there. Some of the information was taken from the official zabbix forum.

MSI Automatically adds a firewall rule. In my memory, there was an additional checkbox in MSI installation process where you allowed to add this rule. Maybe that was in previous versions.
you can't. But zabbix is lightweight so if you had an old PC you can spin that up as a "server". Just install a linux distro and then the zabbix server.

The good old cmd option would work best for this. Basically, one command line to install zabbix agent.

In mostly depends on the motherboard. So there won't be away to make a singe solution for everyone.
Easy just write a plugin for the agent and bring it upstream. 😊

Note: only select the amd64 version if you indeed have a 64-bit CPU
