The scrutiny on the WNBA this season has showed how filled with hateful people the league is.
The latest part of this saga is that: A'ja is not only falsely accusing CC/Fever fans of racism and hateful comments (I guess she never heard of trolls and bots), but now she is claiming that she doesn't feel safe playing against the Fever at Indianapolis. It was suggested that this may be a ploy to get the All-Star game moved out of Indy. Either that, or she's afraid of all of the grade school and middle school-aged kids at the Fever games.😊

Players like Aja damage their own brands constantly. She's an unlikeable player. Caitlin is the perfect role model. It's becoming more apparent that jealous ppl are purposely trying to hurt Clark's brand & fan base. Remember, the W pays a certain group to fight racism. They have to cause racism or would not have a job.. Honestly, groups like this should never be employed by any sports league. All they do is damage the league. Make sure fans are not talking about the game or the players. Playing the sport is the last of the concerns. They want everyone talking about a weird political message. Every single company which is bought by Disny is infused with this nonsense. These companies never faced any problems until disny bought them. The W is just one example. The W is one of the worst run companies to exist. Espn, first take. The View. All are connected to the same group of ppl. Espn & First take has lost 49% of its fan base & views compared to the previous owners.
Aja Parents paid over $150,000 for her to attend private school k-12. She has no room to talk about anyone being privileged. If her parents could throw away $150,000 just for school, she was spoiled rotten.
If Aja is claiming she doesn't feel safe to play in Indianapolis at an All Star game, the simple solution is DON'T GO. It would be even better if the fans didn't vote for her to even make the squad.

All of the drama surrounding Caitlin Clark has soured me to any news of race baiting which just happened with A'ja Wilson. There is a serious problem within the WNBA and it isn't about the actual play on the court, unless of course you want to talk about the mugging of Caitlin Clark. The problem involves the league and the overall management mediocrity and the misplaced focus by the players on race, sexual identity, and cultural differences. A cancer like cloud of misplaced priorities can envelope a business which is failing, especially a business that has been failing for as long as the WNBA. Can you imagine what Elon Musk would tell one of his SpaceX engineers if they complained about the attention a newly hired engineer had been getting, he'd probably fire the person on the spot. Drama invades a weak and poorly run business, malcontents are allowed to flourish and pretty soon there is too much attention being paid to things that don't really matter or are fabricated drama issues. The letter by the WNBA Executive Director Terri Carmichael Jackson accusing Christine Brennan of race baiting is a perfect example of this, and her ridiculous claims were outrageous.
This ACES team simply highlights the immaturity of WNBA personalities. Better CC who only at 22 is far more professional, exhibiting real sportmanship, true indicators of maturity.

I liked the Aces until the new season. Kate Martin was welcomed onto the team. She was immensely popular and her gear began to outsell A’Ja. The fans reacted favorably to her, as well. Next thing you know, Kate rides the bench for the rest of the season. A’Ja goes after Kate’s best friend, Caitlin Clark. A’Ja telling everyone to check their privilege is disingenuous and severely lacking in self-awareness.
The more A'ja Wilson talks, the dumber she sounds. The real difference between her and Caitlin is that one is a humble and good person...the other is not.

It seems like the Aces have gotten distracted. The so-called MVP as well. The players are more concerned about their personal images than about playing basketball. The end of the WNBA is just over the event horizon. Nothing escapes a black hole.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Give three reasons why the WNBA is about end?
1. The NBA will probably not support the WNBA with another stipend for another season. The franchise is failing and has been in the red for a number of years.
2. The management of the WNBA is a problem. From the top down, there has been an intransigence to change and fair play. It is biased.
3. The players of the league are stuck with the inside out style the NBA abandoned 30 years ago. Their game as further developed when Steph Curry and the other sharpshooters opened the floor up for a faster, more precise style of play.
4. The officiating this year was awful and cost the league the MVP for this year and years to come. I doubt that CC or any others that are from quality college programs will be willing to play the way things are in the WNBA. The money and atmosphere is better abroad.

I'm no fan of the Aces! Specifically I've been very turned off by the way the media and WNBA have pushed Aja' Wilson down my throat all year! She's stating an obvious fact. Like saying it's raining outside when it is in fact raining! They are distracted and I've seen and thought this. IMO, when Hammon says the entire league has been pissed off, she is talking about Aja being mad about the attention that Caitlin got from the media and all Aja’s teammates backing her up. I don’t think they should get a team sponsorship. They didn’t allow CC to allow the other teams to have spot bonuses this year. It’s something they can change in the years to come as far as the collective bargaining agreement goes.
No need, next year CC is going to Europe next year.
The WNBA did not allow the Aces to get the team scholarships either. The Aces said we will just do it and if we get fined later or lose draft picks then so be it.
Team sponsorship with a cap would benefit the league. All teams must meet the same cap each season without deferred compensation; all or nothing. It would raise the minimum player compension, provide corporate media training, peer pressure for conduct on and off the court, and career contacts/paths after retirement. Violations may be loss of sponsor, fines, loss of playoff spot, and loss of draft picks. Widespread team corruption would be sale of the team. If the league is successful, this compensation should no longer be needed.

I don't have a favorite team to win the playoffs, but I do have one person I want to see lose, and that's the Commissioner. There are some league-wide problems, and they're on her watch. Time for her to go.

To keep her balance C.V. takes a couple of tiny steps and gets called for traveling. So C.V goes, "Hey, I got pushed!" And the ref calls a technical. This is nuts. The NFL refs are on the verge of scandal with their selective penalties with two minutes to got in a close game leaving the refs to pick the winner, but here the Liberty were down 16 points. Is the W cool with this? Is it the refs' incompetence? How long can this go on?
The WNBA has a problem - people like me watch this YT channel, but will never watch the games.

I think people are beginning to see for the first time that it is unfair to pressure people to support causes and groups they are not a part of. A'ja, A'ja, A'ja.... smh what are we going to do with you. The funny thing is that Kate Martin, a bench player for the Aces, is #4 in jersey sales with A'ja ranked #5. She only averages 2pts a game so it proves that attitude and fan appeal is what drives sales not playing so maybe if A'ja became more likeable she could be the "media elected" face of womens basketball but... unfortunately for her there is a generational talent who can not only play unbelievable basketball but is beloved by all that is the future of the WNBA and womens basketball......
Everytime I have seen the Aces play I see the shade Becky Hammond throws at Kelsey Plum by eye rolling or yelling but I always try to think its more of a basketball thing like Rachel referred to. I did see an interview though with Kelsey where she pointed out being a 5'9" white point guard in the WNBA isn't easy though. (Kelsey's words not mine).....
And with all this $$$ talk, I have to admit that I cannot wait to see the carwreck known as the WNBA turn upside down and implode when Caitlin Clark becomes the first female with a $1 million plus contract in a few years. We all know its going to happen. Shes too marketable and the Fever along with other WNBA teams know that with Caitlin you are guaranteed an instant attendance spike, viewership increases and merchandise sales though the roof when Caitlin is involved. The bidding war will be insane along.... with the hate 😂😂😂
Becky Hammond has always been a mean person, remember what she did to Erika Hamby in Las Vegas,and when she was in The San Antonio Stars, she wanted to be the main attraction, not Kayla Mc Bride or Erica Hamby at that time.
Sorry, but before May I didnt even know who Wilson, Plum, or any other Aces player (cant name one) was... let alone the Aces was even a team. So no, they werent celebrities, they arent celebrities. I've heared of the Golden Knights... havent watched an Icehockey game in my life, but I know some teams... couldnt say the same about the WNBA.
I fail to understand how these WNBA players think they deserve more money when the WNBA does not show a profit.

Can you imagine "Koch Enterprises" decides to become a main sponsor for the Fever... but instead of paying a fee to the Franchise, they give every "new Free Agent and cuttent team member" a marketing deal worth 500k every season? Is that fair? Or lets say in the NBA Orlando can give every new player a 10 mi marketing deal with Disney... Or AT&T pays every Dallas team member 15 mio for doing one commercial... how is that not forbidden already?

Right! She was vocal about the MVP. BEFORE THE SEASON she was anointed MVP. The actual MVP was Caitlin. In what world would an MVP play on a team that did MUCH worse. In what world would a player(see Caitlin Clark), lead the league in points produced by quite a bit, Wilson was well behind. In what world would double doubles in points and rebounds be more important than double doubles in points and assists? See Caitlin again. No, the ACTUAL MVP is.... Caitlin Clark.
At least the Aces had lost both games on their own. The WNBA/Refs would never assist the Liberty the way they helped the Sun beat the Fever.

AJA had a jealous fit about the Nike shoe. Because of her, Nike put the CC shoe on the back burner. BUT IT DOESNT STOP THERE. THE MERCHANDISE SALES were announced in late July. Up to that point, Kate Martin had been averaging 15-20 minutes a game. After the Olympic break Kate Martin has been getting 3 minutes a game. She hasn’t even played in the playoffs. So what happened??? Merchandise sales were announced late July and KM jersey sales were higher than the current MVP. Hmmm..I wonder if Aja had anything to do with that??
Sadly, instead of giving praise to the Liberty she viciously attacks her own team. And one of them is the MVP of the league. Coach Hammond cannot stand loosing but she loosing objectivity and responsibility.

As a new follower of the wnba i was at first missing what i have in all other sports: The story lines around the other teams and therfore an opinion on the other orgs beside my favourite team (Fever). Which team do i like besides my team (Wings), which team do i truely dislike (Aces), which is the worst run org (Sky) etc.
But i must admit in this departement the wnba is the gift that keeps on giving. I was truely surprised you said in this vid the aces where one of the most liked orgs because for me they are the obvious choice for my most disliked org. Shady finance, the Hamby-Situation, the fans reacting to the Hamby situation, the manners of the coach and the attidue of one of the most boring stars in nowadays sports.
Don't forget the FEDERAL DISCRIMINATION lawsuit filed by Dearica Hamby against The WNBA and the Las Vegas Aces, and Becky Hammon has to be part of that lawsuit.
If Hamby wins her lawsuit will Hamons job be safe.
