Man, planche push ups does change my life. I was 14 when i saw my senior pulled one of these. I went home and did my first commited push up after that. Planche is love, planche is life~
How old are you now and how's the journey? It's hard if it isn't your number 1 dedication in life, but keeping the passion alive over years is what it's all about. How's the progress for you?
That's crazy Other progressions for you are: Pre full push up: - Incline press-ups (arms on an elevated surface, decrease elevation slowly to surface level as you get better. After full push up; - Wide and Diamond Austin mentioned Or - Explosive and Decline push ups
That's crazy, I'm in the exact same issue now LOL. Plus I'm looking for doing my first pull-up by doing some progressions I learnt from some calisthenics UA-camrs. You should try it up too. With those two exercises you hit (almost) every muscle in your upper budy. But don't forget leg day dude 😂😂😂😂
I started working on my push ups and I was thinking 'where has this been??' Realised you uploaded it just today... blessed to have this vid help me in my journey
I've been working a lot more on calisthenics since the plandemic... Been studying your videos along with other channels (Fitness FAQs & Calisthenicmovement mainly) as well and have been focusing on psuedo planche push ups for a few months now AND I FEEL IT. It's coming! Straddle planche push up is around the corner baby!
The timing! I was just looking for new exercises to add to my push-progression after finding out yesterday I could finally perform the one arm push-up. Thanks for this!
Hey Austin. I'm from South Africa and I've been following your channel for some years and I can see a big difference on my muscle growth and development. Keep up your genuine content!
When you do the planche pushups with the music is just soooo beautiful! I’ve followed you sins the very beginning and this really feel like a “we made it” moment😍👊🏽 keep going
Hey Austin been a fan from days when you were doing your workouts at home. Good to see that your a pro now, you've always put out some of the best content on UA-cam. Great work👍🏿💪🏿
my goal is to do 100 regular pushups in a row, after that, im aiming for 100 elevated pushup in a row currently i can do 85 regular pushup in a row here is my progression 24th June 2020 : 35 reps in a row 29th June : 45 REPS!! i cant believe i increased 10 reps in 5 days 4th July : Still 45 reps 5th July : FINALLY 50!! i had a weak day at 4th July thats why i only got 45 12th July : 60 REPS!! 40 MORE TO GO 24th July : i decided to push really hard today, and i managed to do 85 REPS IN A ROW!!, but i felt a little bit of hurt in my arms after that, its ok tho, 15 REPS MORE TO GO!! 11th August : Still 85, online school gave me alot of tasks so im not really practicing
Great video and great honesty about time line to get as good as you are these exercises. A lot of people get put off by lack of progress (in just a few weeks)
Hey Austin, I used to have a lackluster one arm push up with my left arm, I mean I didn't twist and I did bend slightly, but it was the shoulders that was working, the pec not as much.... The right side of the torso and right arms especially right chest got thick and mean but the left side grew wider and not as thick.... So the way I fixed it was, I noticed with the right arm push up, the hand is directly beneath the pecs, tried that with the left arm, normally I could do 13 reps but this time I got 5.... Built both arms upto 35 reps... Looks great on video. I joined a gym before lockdown to see my strength.... I benched 150kilo, I am 95kilo bodyweight. Now I am doing the ultimate one arm push up which is the one arm one leg push up, this variation automatically eliminates any bend or twist of the torso, best variation ever... Popularized by Pavel Tsatsouline.... I got visibly more jacked doing it. I can only do 17 reps each arm. I will test my bench once I am at 25 reps.
Hey Austin, I recently landed on your page. I too am training for the Air Force. I noticed you didn’t have any video on it, have you ever considered making military life related videos?
Thanks, from England. I'm progressing from pike push ups to elevated pikes, currently. Will definitely incorporate pseudo-planche push ups into my routine, as can already comfortably do 10-15 archer ones.
Mans you a beast!! your the reason why i got into calisthenics! Far from where you are tho haha! Big inspiration, hope to meet you some day! Keep up the dope work!!
I can totally relate with your experience! My brief history. I started late February with around 10-12 normal pushups. In mid may I hit my first 100 pushups pet training session which I kept on doing all days. These days I am doing 200 pushups 3 times a week and the other 4 days I include harder variations using chairs, trying the archer ones, diamond, weight on my back, etc. Would you suggest training other parts of the body to get to the 1 arm pushup? i.e core? or back? P.S. once you get into the daily pushup stuff, you cannot stop!
TLDR: do tuck planche pushup negatives. If you have a tuck planche with good form, then that's that hardest part. If you have the strength for handstand pushups, then you just need to get used to the planche pushup movement. Slow negatives will get you there quickly.
MY exact progression!!!

I have no idea why this was recommended to me i just start to move from knee push ups to normal ones
That's crazy
Other progressions for you are:
Pre full push up:
- Incline press-ups (arms on an elevated surface, decrease elevation slowly to surface level as you get better.
After full push up;
- Wide and Diamond Austin mentioned
Or
- Explosive and Decline push ups
That's good, now you know some good tips, keep it up dude, you'll eventually reach the harder variations
You can try the negative of the push up
That's crazy, I'm in the exact same issue now LOL. Plus I'm looking for doing my first pull-up by doing some progressions I learnt from some calisthenics UA-camrs. You should try it up too. With those two exercises you hit (almost) every muscle in your upper budy. But don't forget leg day dude 😂😂😂😂

Pseudo Planches are my favorite ones. The best for Calisthenics in my opinion 🤸♂️
As someone who isn’t good at calisthenics, I must agree, pseudo planche pushups are indeed hype
I was planning to work on explosive pushups from today and boom!
Great way of explaining this, I forgot about archer and pseudo planche progressions thank you!
Loved ur personality and environment
Yo Austin really clean full planche pushups, mad respect. Hard work pays off!!!
my goal is to do 100 regular pushups in a row, after that, im aiming for 100 elevated pushup in a row
