I might be rude but if you want to really go to abroad or "MIT" you should have adequate knowledge about it already.
Btw if you are not in your +2 and in 10th and below ,I suggest you to do some extra curricular activities like research, national level sports player, Olympiads (upto International level),KVPY,NTSE,etc.
You don't need all of that but if you have say like 2 of the achievements for eg: A gold in Physics Olympiad and you are a KVPY scholar and you are very interested in physics ,then you might have a chance in MIT.
Keep in mind only 5-6 students get selected each year so good luck for that and start doing things right now.
If you are in +2 and have no any
extracurricular activities to show then it might be hard to develop it in 2 years but then again anything is possible.
Your best bet in +2 is either Olympiads or research.

BITS campuses has 0 percent attendance and one of the highest GSOC selections..
average package of all three campuses combined is 13 lpa right now...CSE avg is about 24 lpa and almost 50 percent students of general category leave IITs for BITS campuses..
from jee mains ranks in top 200 to some in advanced top 2000 and top 1000 as well...it surely is worth the fees...
so as Anuj bhaiya said..discover best options for you.Its obvious that getting a good CGPA is tough because of the high creamy layer percentage and the fact that there is no reservation...CGPA is important but...if you have the evidence/and right projects to prove that you have done great then you will not be in a setback at all..
From very good faculties to an amazing campus life,hostel life ,amazing fests and campus culture ...I hope you prioritize ur aim and set the bar high enough...

Fee waiver for SC/ST isn't available. I finished my bachelor's, masters in NIT Trichy now doing Ph.D. in NIT Trichy and I haven't come across the fee waiver for SC/ST. SC/ST have to pay a 50 percent fee.

Well that is the oldest NIT... Placements are good but not that much in comparison to NIT Trichy but they are still better than most of NITs and comparable to Surathkal and Warangal
Most of the professors are PhD holders from IITs and foreign universities, infrastructure is well and good because of being the oldest and most established NIT of India
