I know!!! They never give poor trapper any love. If they buffed his base kit traps a bit, fixed the trap spawns so they dont spawn in the back corner of a huge map and maybe changed the escape from bear traps to be a little harder/more consistent he would be in such a better position :(

The main problem with trapper is that most of the maps now days have very little to none grass on them to hide his traps from survivors. This is probably the main reason he fell off as a killer
The only way to counter this build is with the perks 'wake up' and 'leader'. It only works if there's 2 different survivor running them and even then it's pretty bad.
Trap buffering is a thing. Survivors can still counter it by just never fully disarming the trap. As long as there's at least two survivors, you can get a good few seconds of gate progress with only a single second of delay. For those who don't know, when a survivor is performing the disarm action, the trap's hitbox disappears, so other survivors can walk over and even stand on the trap. This is called Trap Buffering.
Nothing is worse than getting trapped as a surv 😑🍭🥴🤣 If I play trapper I always use the “free themselves and end up slugged” add on 🤣 so funny. I just wait for them to free themselves…. Nodding if they’ve BMed. Then bam. Instant slug! 😂

Can you please also revisit this build for 2024? And there’s also the impossible totem build trapper. He was so fun to do on my game!! How well does the other purple work with this? If they free themselves from the trap, they get downed, meaning there has to be two people on each gate to keep that from happening
I feel like honing stone would have given you more value as the second add on since you're basically guaranteeing that they will step in the exit gate trap

Heres my personal buffs for trapper -all traps camouflage to the maps color pallet or environment -trap placing speed is 20% faster Now for some custom addons (place holder name here) -allows you to see the aura's lf a survivor if their in a 5 meter radiu of a set trap

No way out, devour or noed, and yeah, fired up is alright, but you could just run no way out, noed and it's gg. Open one gate, have a trap on the other, gg.

they should make the add on where you have all your traps at the beginning of a game base kit. maybe make it to where he can pick them back up again too. would be so much more fun to play as and just feel better.

Yeah, the iri stone is bugged, if there is only one trap closed it will never open and it's been like that for more than 2 years definitely, if it's intentional I really hate BHVR, if it's unintentional I still hate BHVR.
Yeah I wasnt sure what the bug was! I did test it in some customs and it seemed that if only 1 trap was closed it would still open but it depended on the trap and on the placement of it. Really inconsistent hopefully they fix it at some point :(
This build would get even more mileage now! Terminus isn't really needed, as you kind of want the survivors to waste time healing in endgame. Swap it out for Grim Embrace! Then run Agi and/or Grasp and play shack during the match itself to help ensure that you get your split hooks for nwo, remember, and grim. If you don't want to run agi or grim or bother playing around shack during the main game, you can instead run sloppy and NOED or an info perk like alien instinct, bbq, ultimate wep, etc. so you dont have to chase hiding survivors
If you put plaything in stead of terminus then the getas would take a minute and 58 seconds to open them without any traps so if you even have one it takes more then 2 minutes so you can go open one of the gates immediately and protect and trap the heck out of it then they physically can't get out in time unless you have someone downed or hooked or the obbsesion opens them so yeah don't do that.
Yeah wake up + resilience could definitely let them get the gates done faster but resilience is only a small improvement and i rarely see anyone run wake up. Luckily nobody in my games had wake up otherwise they would have destroyed this build haha
Oh, brother. Wake up + Sole survivor + Resilience is an 84% buff to opening speed. I think spine chill works too, and gives a 6% buff to everything, I think? So those four together, is a 90% buff to opening exit gates. Holy hell
For anyone that wants to see even trapper and pig get win streaks go watch OTZ or NOCI cause they have been streaming playing "weak" killers and getting streaks after streak with them. I am convinced that no killer is weak in solo queue just strong, very strong and unbeatable.

I beg to differ. He's the STRONGEST killer, because while he's not too good in early game, if you plan ahead and trap up loops, pallets, exit gates, gens, and windows, you will win 100%
probably strongest end game build i ever seen, except 4 perk, "gate close" perk somewhat not fit here as probably survivors will expect it because of other end game perks

Trapper is bad because they removed tall grass. Trapper is strong on DBD mobile as you can't spot traps from 6 miles away

Endgame Trapper is the best kind of Trapper and the only Trapper that makes sense. Any other type of Trapper is cruising for for a bruising.
The add-on has been bugged forever. There is always 1 trap that never auto resets.

hex: no one escapes death is realy usefull with this build too, just put a trap in the hex totem and you are unstoppable

Sole Survivor, too. Sole Survivor + Wake Up gives you + 75 %. Paired with for example Left Behind and Hope / Adrenaline it’s really hard to NOT escape

Actually just run sole survivor-wake up to get a ton of speed on the gate. It'll still be somewhat slow but better than 112 seconds
