I saw it in the theater today. I was not able to make it out of the theater with dry eyes. Beautiful movie. This is what Top Gun wanted to be but wasn't.

Brown, losing fuel pressure and increasingly unable to control the aircraft, dropped his external fuel tanks and rockets and attempted to land the craft in a snow-covered clearing on the side of a mountain." Although it's difficult to tell from a trailer, it appears as though quite a bit of artistic license was taken at the, probably to make it appear to be more dramatic and heroic. True history is better, no matter what it is and never needs to be embellished.
@@msbritney31 The actual crash of both of their planes was, more or less, accurate. However, other events were not. For example, their engagement with a mig never happened (although a mig was shot down during the war, by a corsair pilot, it wasn't by these guys), and Brown never attacked nor destroyed any bridges.

It is a must see bucket list epic movie, that really happened.
Loved the movie but how could it NOT mention that the Navy named a warship after Jesse: U.S.S. Jesse L. Brown (FF-1089)!

The movie definitely didn’t dramatize the ending in terms of how he had to land his plane. It was not make clear what caused the issue with his place.
