Talib Kweli is the illest MC EVER!!!!!!!!
On and off the mic Talib is phenomenal, a true rarity. A voice for the people, we should protect this man at all costs.
Stoned is the way of the walk
Talib Kweli dope interview. Man ! Glad u got your own podcast now , definitely got great questions
Dope interview, it is awesome that Cypress is together in this long time and doing hits. 5
B Real doesn't get enough credit as an emcee. he's nasty on that new record. Sen, too. love Cypress and always have.
Agree! 💥
Sen Dog is so wack he aint worth dissing.
@@zncuentertainment712 And yet you did.
How i could just kill a man the song i just jumped into rap music...
Word! He always spit 🔥
Remember buying Cypress Hills 1st CD, and was blown away. "Black Sunday" & "Temple of Boom" certified bangers...
Yo. I was in Jr High... My wig was blown back haha...
You do know "Black Sunday " was the second Cypress record, right?
@@paulcavaliere2557 I assume he meant BS and TOB in ADDITION to the first albums...
@@dogsandyoga1743 that was my hope as well, but still warranted pointing out..
@@paulcavaliere2557 Yes... Fully aware of that. Just being brief in the writing. Should I have said, "first 3 CD's certified bangers?" 🤔
B real is very underrated Mc he deserves credit for what he’s done in hip hop
True
They do get props especially in New York
B-Real is the Real Deal!
Props to my man, been down with the Hill from the get go when they dropped their first joint 'Real Estate'.
Cypress es primero!
Talib you are doing great things and I'm hooked on your show
Im a big fan of Cypress and I've seen every interview and they start sounding the same this one was dope it wasnt like the rest, you can tell talib really is a cypress fan. Thanks for this.
Thank you Talib for keeping the subject matter positive and informational.
Wish the interview could have been longer.
Damn, I didn't know B-Real was shot like that! We are blessed to have the OG with us. Respect to Cypress Hill 4eva.
There's a reference on Lick a Shot ("Where did that .22
/Come from/When the bullet past through my lung/I've lost my breath I'm winded/I've been hit, by a slug that wasn't intended).
@Angel Garcia the irony of this statement is B Real is a blood from LA
@@Thecityismine- but Mexican mafia had his back
Great interview! 🙏 for the knowledge B Real and Talib.
I have a new appreciation for B-Real. Big Up!!!
Glad someone finally mentions Bobo's contribution and the fact that he's the great Willie Bobo's son. Talib knows his shit!
Respect ⚡️
Bobo llego despues q.la ya la banda habia tenido hesito
@@willaragon6508 Habla bien brother jajaja es "despues de que la banda ya había tenido éxito"*
He is right in saying that both Mellow Man Ace and Kid Frost were always promoted as "Latin" rappers back then. Whereas Cypress to a certain degree wasn't labelled as such despite the occasional Spanglish song.
Occasional spanglish song? They got an entire LP in Spanish. If you haven't heard it, I suggest you take a listen. It's dope.
@@1eljugo Yeah but that was bigger in latin america, it was not very relevant in the north but it was huge over there
One of the most distinctive, if not THE most distinctive voice in all of hip hop
The first Cypress Hill album, is a classic, "How I can just kill a man""The phuncky feel one" , "hand on the pump", "hole in your head", classic hip hop.

@@bigdaddy2343 yes sir.
This absolutely fantastic! Finally a place where artists speak without being interrupted
God bless people party, I was always a fan. But Man U got me through these lockdown corona times. From Ireland 🇮🇪
Its so hard to get into some of the interview videos but, i am hooked talib is killing it!! Great content, great conversations and insight keep rolling talib and his awesome guests!!!
Talib, thank you for always being real and true! Your music has always straightened me out. Whenever I felt I was straying in the wrong direction, I listen to your positive, influential messages and they always hit hard and level me back out. Thank you for being a great role model. Having an emcee/truth speaker such as yourself, that is just a little older than me, and that rhymes positive lessons of life, is extremely helpful with becoming an excellent role model for my 6 year old daughter. Thank you and please don’t ever stop being you! One love❤
In the late 90s Talib stayed with the fire. I remember meeting him on South Oxford at Power's house
Wow!
Rammellzee's gangsta duck style was an obvious influence on B-Real but I'd never heard him speak about it so candidly.(Even the phrase "Cypress Hill" was first mentioned on Ramm's 1983 song ,"Beat Bop".)
True indeed, the most influential hip hop pioneer that no one ever talks about and de facto godfather of avant guard/underground hip hop.
Rip,Ramm!
And nuff respect to B Real!
Cypress Hill was my very very first concert I'd ever been to, in 1993 as a 16 year-young hiphop head, at Paradiso Amsterdam. It was a such a perfect storm of cannabis culture and hip hop energy. Never will forget it.
"Here is something you can't understand, how I could just kill a man." Salute the legend ✌🏿
a dream come true to sit down and smoke blunts and talk with b-real. a legend thru and thru. always 100
Thank you B Real for always being you✊🏽.
Loved the convo brought up, hate that b being part of psycho realm wasnt brought up
Kevin Bolanos la neta the Sick Side is a legend in its own right. The first album was seminal in hip hop
Beastie Boys Cypress hill and Rollins band was my first concert in 92 Tampa
Smoked with Sen Dog after the show
Deadly
Yo Target center Minneapolis 98. I saw cypress hill Busta rhyme wyclef public enemy in concert. The most bananas event I've been a part of in my life. B real was smoking the biggest bong on stage I've never been that high in my life and I don't even smoke..
Saw beastie boys and cypress hill in New Jersey 🤘
Salute . What a show. Nice chem 💪👂🔉
Talib asking about his voice. wow. I always wondered. high level interviewer. Im crazy impressed with this show

I find it interesting because when B-real works with Sick Jacken, they was like, yo you can't say the "N word" when you are on our records because we don't use it, so B-real had to adjust. Jack speaks on it in the Vlad interview.
Yeah... I also noticed in the more recent years Cypress Hill stopped saying the N word all together... Even when doing there Older songs, they usually replace it... or "Cypress Hill is going insane " or "u vatos get jumped "
I was at the Woodstock 94 performance. It was nuts!
Damn Talib is the best interviewer out there. You're a beast man!!
Still think black Sunday isn't talked about enough even though everybody knows cypress Hill.
Amazing album
Glad to see Talib doing things. Two OG's right here.
Powerful exchange between two legends.🙌🏿
One legend and a racist, bigot and europhobe.

Talib PLEASE get Adrock and Mike D on here!!! Idk if i can wait much longer wtf man. Love the show
We’ve talked to those dudes and it’s definitely in the works
Great get.
2 Legends right here! But where the weed at LOL???
Powerful conversation with Kweli and B-Real. B-Real is the Cypress Hill's rapping machine. Love the sounds from DJ Muggs because it reminds me of the beats mixed with a flavor from Ced Gee (Ultramagnetic MCs) and The Bomb Squad (Public Enemy). I love Cypress Hill since 1991 when I was just 6 at that time, but B-Real is very, strictly underrated as a rapper/MC/lyricist. You got other first Latino rappers like Mellow Man Ace, Kid Frost and even Fat Joe before Big Punisher came to the game.
Love the podcast man. We need more black/brown unity
kweli keep doing your thing. this needs to be up in views
DAMN IT FEELS GOOD TO BE A GANGSTA
Geto Boyz
B-REAL IS ONE OF THE GREATEST NAME
i smoked with B, in boise fcking idaho in a mini van, at a paint ball range.
I was waiting for him to bring up psycho realm.
Damn underrated comment right here
Sick Jacken is the best!
RIP😪
Love this show! Great interviews. Keep up the great work.
Appreciate the love. We stay on the grind at the People’s Party with new episodes every Monday and clips and special content all week
2 Hip Hop Gods !! BAD ASS!!
Loved the interview..... Ty talib
i want more of this convo ! i was sad to see it end so short
That was a legendary interview. The Breakfast Club should take notes and stop with all the vapid gossip so much. B Real broke it down how we need to come together cause division between black & brown has ALWAYS been their goal on the right, and Democrats serve the oligarchs that run the country
Idk about that it's just democrats but if we look back at the chicano party out of Texas (1970s) there is real political and social power in forming our own party and not falling into the narratives of democrats or republicans but rather policies and politics that are actually benefiting and for the people. Separating and understanding the differences between health of the economy and health of the people/public. This idea of our own parties should also include other races as well, our raza and communities of color, uniting to overthrow white supremacy and the powers that b.
@@sepiakat Democrats are also the party of white supremacy, they just don't say it aloud like Trump. Biden's gonna be WORSE than Trump, guaranteed.💯
Biden said he wasn't going to be deporting anyone in the near future, then immediately deported over 300 immigrants. The kids are still in cages, and all the democrats did was stop calling them concentration camps, and now they call them "facilities"
Biden went from $2000 checks "immediately" to $1,400 in a month or 2, to no updates, and in the end, there's gonna be no checks, or only a small percentage of people will get them. Like the Obama stimulus a lot of people didn't get. 😂💯💯
Voting is never going to change anything unless it's a 3rd party. Check out this video and spread the word.

WE BEEN TOLD YOU TALIB GANGSTA ON THE LOW... SALUTE!
Dope interview man, started watching and before I knew I saw the whole thing. It's great what Talib is doing here and great to see B-Real doing well as always, puro Cypress! Loved the weed convo lol the times have certainly changed, late 90s NY I remember (at least in my experience) it went from regz the dirt to better strains like skunk, Arizona, Chocolate. Then later on Haze made its way in followed by Sour Diesel and the rest is history. Even today I'm NY you have to know the right ppl to get the quality stuff (the white homies are the ones to seek lol). Peace everybody ✌🏻
These artist are next level in this century support skratchers an turntablist musicians all day and night sometimes DJs 💯%

Man glad I found this show......a little late but better then never...
Great interview props to Talib and B Real.
Awesome
Good show ! Keep this going!💯👍
I'm brown to the bone . But the Truth is it's not so much a race thing as it is a generational thing.. because certain folks point fingers at colors for draining the system of government assistance.. but if you look around now and think back to "then" (when brown FIRST started "immigrating" back to America) and the older generations did come here for opportunity.. ready to work their hands to bone and did, (my grandparents did) but now you have kids of ALL races who're 18 - 30 and past.. driving $60k cars, and carrying LV bags, but buying groceries with an EBT card. That's not good for anybody.
When I heard he was Cuban a light clicked and I knew he was Afro-Cuban, Look at his hair back in the day.
Talib..you great host my G..
