I grew up to MJ. I carried my Michael Jackson, Doll and Thriller VHS everywhere I went. That was my security. MJ literally taught me how to dance and sing. I spent most of my childhood with him. I wish I would've had the honor of meeting him. RIP, King.

One of the many reasons only Michael Jackson can be the King of Pop is no other artist has impacted the entire world in so many fields simultaneously. Sure, there are many other great artists but they aren’t known in every part of the world; from the jungles along the Amazon River to small villages in Africa. Show them Michael Jackson’s photo and they instantly recognise him.
So I agree with Prince Jackson, other artists can, and do, excel in their field but none match Michael Jackson’s legacy - his music, dance or even fashion. He is the definition of iconic.
